Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1743 Commerce Dr, Mansfield, TX

We've been renting here for about a year now and this place continues to go down hill. There are never any carts and the elevators have problems on a regular basis. Definitely not worth it unless you're on the first level. Parking inside to load/unload is always full unless you go at odd hours. I recommend going somewhere else.

The place is clean, and by clean I mean desolate. A few of my concerns:(1) “Climate Controlled” storage… if by that you mean regularly 90+ degrees inside. The only thing kept at climate control is the office. (2) Poorly lit inside. While the hallways and the numbers above each unit are decently lit, the inside of each unit is 100% cave. You’ll get no light help from the hallway, no hookups or even a place to hang a battery operated light. Nothing. (3)Security: you’ll need to enter a randomized 10 digit code to get in the building, to get up the elevator to get down the elevator, to get out of the building. Making a couple of trips between the car and your unit and you’ll be more than mildly irritated.Especially if you have others with you needing the code as well. (4) To cut their costs they’ve basically ended customer service. The front office is for sales only. They are no help for current customers, the only way to get help is to send a request through their website, which you may or may not get any help from. If you do it’ll likely be 2-4 weeks before you see a response. There is no help number for customers. (5) hours of operation: it’s frustrating that I can only access the storage facility between 8am and 9pm. And don’t get caught inside after 9. That’s when the automated system starts to lock you in and you have to use the emergency exit to get out. (6) carts: at any given time there are maybe two carts available for a storage facility of a few hundred units. They either refuse to replace them regularly, or they just keep getting stolen. Either way it’s craptacular service. You’ll keep your local area monopoly for a little while, but eventually someone will come along and take all your customers by offering an actual service we can work with rather than just taking our money and crapping on current customers. Update: still a garbage facility. Now actively seeking alternatives. No carts available on the property. Also had a break-in that destroyed everything inside. Told the staff and they said yes they were aware but not telling customers. Also no word on if the culprit was identified or if any action was taken. Filed a police report but unlikely anything will come of it.

I love the people that work here. Public storage as a whole is very disappointing. My rent more than doubled in two years. As far as the facility the elevator is broken some times and there are never any public carts for use. If I'm paying $364 a month where is the extra increase in rent going? You people should be ashamed of what you are doing to the customers that continue to pay on time and keep paying. No reason my rent went from 170 to 364 and facilities are substandard.

One cart for the entire building. 1,000 plus rental units and they expect everyone to share one cart. Also, elevators are a huge PITA to operate. Elevator door closes 5 seconds after it opens.

0 customer service. No one on site. The only "support" they offer is a call center that tells you just do everything on line and review the website for your questions. Definitely not how I treat any of my customers.

Elevator out of order / bathroom non existent / no one available at front desk during office hours.

This is my first time using a storage facility and I was a bit apprehensive, but there was no need to be as the whole process couldn't have been easier. The staff at my location was very friendly and helpful.

You’d think with all the rate increases we could get more than 2 carts. If there’s more than 2 people at the same time as you you’re out of luck.

I highly suggest you don’t move in here. They send a rate increase notice every few months, the first time they’ll let you appeal it and win. I had just moved in only a few months before. Then they deny all other appeals even though units are renting for way cheaper. It’s their way of getting you in and then screwing you. Thankfully no contracts so I was able to move out. I can understand raising the rent after each year but thought every few months was excessive. Also, they hardly ran any air, climate controlled was a bit of a stretch, it was so hot even in cooler months with no air flow. The garage door to get in never opened with the app, and the exit garage door you had to get out and manually push the button, it never worked. Absolutely no service once inside the garage doors and especially in the units. There were only 2 moving carts for the entire place, that’s if you could find them. This was the only place I could find climate controlled availability so if you’re in the same boat I highly suggest you keep searching.

The property is extremely clean and well maintained. I always felt safe no matter what the time of day. The staff is exceptionally nice and well informed. They went out of their way to make sure I had the best options afforded to me. I moved 20 miles away from Mansfield but chose to keep my storage where it was. Thanks to Stacy and Christina, they are the BEST!!!!

Jump in prices is ridiculous Public Storage took over. Preferred it better when it was All Storage.

Every staff member has been super friendly since I started renting a unit. Overall, the inside is clean and there are restrooms available in parts just in case. Elevators are large and keyless entry for them is working now. The only complaint, and this could be people taking them, is that the flat carts seem to be mostly missing. I saw several when I first got a unit and moved stuff in. But recently there was only one cart. It would be nice if they were able to add more, but I'm not sure how they would keep people from taking them if that's why they are missing.

Clean and well run Stacy was a great help… coming from a dallas public storage to this one was 180 degrees difference… this facility has carts and the other folks hear return them. The whole place is kept ship shape and I feel safe storing my stuff here.

Actually pretty nice and easy but the fact that with all the unites they only have 4 of the dolly things totally not cool.

Stacy at the front office was such a pleasure to deal with. I had never rented a storage unit before, and she walked me thru the entire process quickly and painlessly. She showed me how to get in, where to park, how to access the elevator, and how to exit the building. She showed me a typical unit for the size I wanted, which was conveniently close to the elevator. I ended up renting that one. All in all, it was a positive experience!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!! This place is terrible. The elevators are extremely slow and you have to enter in a code every time you use it. Also, only one elevator works the other is broken. there are two buildings as well. One building is able to be driven into the other is not so if you’re in the back building there is no AC for your truck or move like the main building. I was talking to Chase M from the Public Storage website I told him that I had movers waiting for 30 minutes because my unit was unfindable and I wasn’t able to talk to the front office because they were closed. I called the number at 9 and they didn’t get back to me till 1 o’clock. I asked for my money back for the movers having to sit I was denied. Also, when I talked to the front desk lady, there was nobody in there and I asked her why I wasn’t receiving a phone call back and she told me that it was super busy and yet she was on her phone texting. They care more about money than customer satisfaction. First and last time I’ll use this place.

Stacy was extremely awesome and gave us a well detailed tour of the property. The facility is very clean and maintained. We highly recommend this facility for all your storage needs.

I am moving my stuff as soon as possible. Under this company they will cut your lock and expect you to replace it if you are even close to being 15 days late. There is no understanding even if you were on time for an extensive amount of time. Management is nor in the building during office hours and calling only leads to voicemail. I do not recommend it's overpriced and not worth the hassle.

This place has flooded 3 times now since I've been here. They claim someone propped the door open but there is a huge gap under the doors that a simple seal would fix. They never try to fix the problem. If you're on the first floor beware.

Les is always extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He makes sure you have every bit of information you need and feel comfortable before you leave. The facility is always clean and kept in good condition.

I have had a unit for a year, though I have had to transfer to bigger units 9ver that time. Les in the front office has been the most help each time. He has truly made my experience worth it. If you need a unit, go see Les.

I have been trying to reach someone at this location since 4/25. I have two units. I was asked by Public Storage to relocate my items to an adjacent unit because of upcoming construction. I called to confirm I'd be there the morn of 4/28, based on a convo I had with the Prop Supervisor 4/25. I even took 1/2 day fr work to get it done. No one showed up to the office to help with paper work. No one showed up today, 4/29 either. I've called Customer Service twice, sent emails to Corporate, and even reached out to a LinkedIn employee. No one has called me back. I can't move things by the deadline of 5/1 if no one is on the property to do the transfer. This location at 1743 Commerce in Mansfield, TX was acquired Dec 21 by Public Storage. I have a feeling they fired the former All Storage employees or let them go. This is highly unprofessional. PS' recording says they value my business but apparently not. I'm paying on TWO units. If any representative from PS see this, 1) check the 4 voice messages I left, 2) and call me to get this resolved!!!

Climate control, great prices, you can't beat that. Highly recommended.
