Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 1800 W Sublett Road, Arlington, TX

Kayla is professional and very helpful. Update: Nov 2024 This used to be a small business that was acquired by Public Storage. First thing Public Storage did was jumped my rate from $145 per month in 2022 to when I just vacated to $230 per month in the span of roughly 2 years!!! Insult to injury, I moved out on the 2nd of November and they have a non-negotiable policy of pro rating the monthly rental, so I paid the full amount for the month of November at $230 for 2 days of rent. All I have to say, use a small business who cares for the local community and avoid corporate Public Storage. A business who is unwilling to work with their paying customers, deserves to go under.

She was very helpful and these days patience isn’t found nor is just basic niceness. She’s was fast and friendly.

I rented a small space from this location for about two years. When I started, it wasn’t public storage and I really enjoyed doing business with the owners. After Public Storage bought them out, I have had two separate issues with this company, and they were both ridiculous. The first incident, I received a phone call from the property manager, informing me that someone had broken into their facility and cut the lock off of my unit. Only my building was affected, even though mine is the smallest size unit they offer, and it was on the second floor in the farthest corner away from the elevators. To get to my building, one would have to enter a code into their security system outside re-enter it again at the elevator, go up the elevator, walk unseen past all of their security cameras, walk to the opposite side of the building cut my lock and burgle my belongings. Oddly… Nothing was taken. This person only brought bolt cutters with him went through two security boxes up an elevator, past all of the cameras, cut my lock and then ran off with nothing. That was the story. The property manager was asking me to buy. He said their security system was down, and that was when this person attempted their fruitless caper. Upon asking a bunch of probing questions, I determined that even though they wouldn’t admit to it, they were the ones that had cut it off and it wasn’t due to some phantom intruder carrying industrial strength bolt cutters to cut my high security master lock. Their story just made no sense, but I knew there was no way to prove they were lying. This month I was out of town and a bunch of auto-payments hit my account, and when they pushed my auto-payment, it wasn’t approved. Once I got back into town and got my account squared away, I logged into their app and made the payment. I promptly received a text message from their automated system, telling me that I needed to secure my room and then I could return their lock in a dropbox. I didn’t think much about it until I got a phone call about 20 minutes later and I realized that they had cut my second high security lock. This time presumably because I made the payment 2 weeks late. When I pushed back on this fact, the girl got extremely defensive because I had apparently Word, but I didn’t even realize I had used. They must make phone calls on a regular basis. For her to get as defensive as she got as quickly as she got it… I realized this. I decided I was going to just cancel my account and move on. I drove up to the storage building and opened it to find my lock in the floor in the same spot my first one was left. It was at that moment that I realized What had happened the last time. These shysters cut my lock on accident, thinking my account was past due, and rather than owning up to it and buying me a new lock, they blamed it on some mastermind bolt cutter carrying thief that they didn’t get any pictures of with their 3000 video cameras installed looking at every square inch of their property. Do not do business with these people There are plenty of other storage options without having to deal with liars and thieves. The property manager alone gives me the heebie-jeebies every time I see him. Stay away from this business. Do business somewhere that actually has scruples.

When it came time for me to move out of my storage shed, my items had significant water damage that ruined my dresser and two lamps. They did not reimburse me. Additionally, when I had moved out, they charged me 2 additional months of rent. In neither instance have they returned my calls, and the front desk people have just told me to "fill out the information online". Absolutely ridiculous. I'm moving again in the fall- guess who I won't be using!

I’ve rented here for a couple years, even before it became Public Storage and I had a great experience. Sam, the site manager, was very helpful and always professional. She’s doing an amazing job running this property.

Public storage is the worst storage facility that I know. My locks were change without me missing a payment, neither did they inform me that my locks would get changed. I notice that I somehow made a mistake trying to access my unit not paying attention to the number above my unit, however the key that I was using opened up a unit right next to mine. I told management and they just brushed me off like thank you for telling us, have a good day. That was crazy lol. Also they will change rates on you as well without telling you. The point that I'm trying to make is just be professional and let people know in advance that changes would be made.

I have been storing here ever since I moved to Dallas, over a year now. This facility is nice and clean. Sam, the front desk attendant has always been friendly and very helpful. I appreciate her for great customer service and positive attitude. I highly recommend this facility!

I stored my items at this facility for over 6 years and never had a problem. I feel like the price was fair for a 10x15 unit. I am now able to get my belongings out of storage, but if I ever need to store items again, I will go back to them. Staff are friendly and courteous, and they keep the property clean. It was a good experience, and I would recommend them to anybody.

I was looking for storage to handle some things while cleaning out a house we're about to sell. Went to Simply Storage's website, and reserved a unit. I received a call from Chris, who verified what I reserved, and outlined what my next steps were. A few days later, I met with Christina, who gave further details, and then showed me the unit I had reserved. The entire property was spotlessly clean. The area was very well secured, with surveillance cameras everywhere. The property also has security who live onsite, so there is always a presence. The storage unit we rented was in perfect condition, with no damage that you sometimes see at storage facilities. Once the tour was complete, we went back to the main office, and had all the paperwork filled out in about 5-10 minutes, I was then assigned my pass code, and was on my way. Christina and Chris made this entire process incredibly easy, and it's location ensures security, and ease of access. You can enter your storage locker from 6am-10pm, any day of the week. Cannot recommend this storage facility enough. *** update. Rented another unit, Sam made the entire process seamless, and I think I was in and out in ten minutes, witha climate controlled storage area, with the 1st month free. Excellent experience, as usual.

We have used these guys for years. Safe, economical, and friendly are all valid adjectives. I know, I know, why have you used them for years. I'm working on that, but if you do need a storage facility, it's nice to know there is one that's safe and economical with a friendly staff.

Well after a day full of challenges, tech support got ahold of Sam and Sam after hours came out and opened up the office and got me all sorted. Did all of it with a great smile and an incredible sense of humor. Made it a great day from her kindness by going above and beyond.

Without the pictures sent to Peddle by the Self Storage staff, I never would have received the payment.
