I have been using storage units since I sold my 5 bedroom home awhile back. Since then, I've used several different places, but no one has compared to Monika, the manager over at the Coppell location. I had explained to her that I was in a 50 ft unit elsewhere and could no longer afford it. I had decided to get a unit closer to me and one that was AFFORDABLE. I was tired of some of these others raising their fees repeatedly and making us all move yet again. Monika was understanding and helped me find the right size for the right price. She has been genuinely caring, warm and compassionate, and extremely helpful to my situation. She offered a lot of valuable insight and is very knowledgeable. She knows her job well and is excellent when it comes to customer service. Monika goes out of her way to find the right unit for us. I may have to even get another unit there, but knowing that Monika is there, I feel good about it. I can tell that she works really hard to solve any problem as she answered all my questions and returned all my phone calls. The property looks very clean, so I don't understand why other posts have made comments about a rat problem? I haven't seen any nor have I had any problems in my unit for first month there. Maybe it has been permanently taken care of by the owners, but either way, I plan to check on my unit weekly. Overall, it was a pleasant experience all thanks to Monika. Btw, I love the phone app to access the gate! Nice touch!

Monika is very nice and knowledgeable. She made the check in and out process easy. The only downside is that insects have easy access. When cleaning out the storage, I noticed dirt in the back leading outside (maybe concrete)

Used this place to stage for an international move, the operator here Monika was amazingly helpful on every part of the process! Can’t recommend this place enough if you need some storage.

I've stored my belongings at this facility for 6yrs now not to happy about the rising increases over the years went from $70 to now $268. The staff have always been helpful. The latest MONIKA has been wonderful she goes out of her way to fix a problem at the storage. God bless her they have a true gem 💎

I rented a units for several years due to the C19 pandemic. Staff was very helpful with affordability and rate changes over the years. Recently moved and got out my items. There were some logistical obstacles due to my work schedule and monthly renewal however again staff helped me out greatly. I'm wondering why owner only replies to the positive comments and ignores the ones that show horrible storage damage?? Now, I'm worried about my stuff that is there. Unless I'm missing it, but I don't see any acknowledgment of the rat damage photos or comments. Isn't someone there supposed to handle that stuff? On another note, here is another shout out to Monika to add to all her other good comments: she's very diligent about calling to remind of payments due and offering to check on options every time the owner raises the rent. She does try to get you out of tight spots and does as much as she can for the role she plays at this particular storage facility. I'm going to give a 4 star for now and hope my stuff is okay??

I came yesterday to look for a storage for my boat even though I wasn’t able to find the right size Monika helped me measure all the doors to see if I had enough clearance. She also called other public storages to check the clearance. I wish I would have foud something at the Coppell location because the staff is amazing and they go above and beyond to help us out.

DO NOT USE THIS STORAGE FACILTY! All of my appliances/belongings were RUINED by rats and water damage. Monika in the front office told me I should've been checking in on my unit. As if I can come from out of state to do so. Not only that, but I paid $250/month to TRUST that my belongings would be protected! The insurance policy "caps at $250 for rodent damage" when there was thousands of dollars of damage!

Monica was amazing. She helped me find the perfect storage and was very patient with me. We looked though 10 plus storages to find the perfect one and give me a great deal. Her politeness deserves 100 stars. Thank you for all the help

Avoid this place like the plague! TLDR: extensive rat damage destroyed most of our belongings, the manager Monika will end your rental unit (and likely sell your things) on the word of a stranger and will then cuss at you and call you names when they mess up. Absolutely brutal treatment. Ultimately we paid (an ever increasing amount of money) for the majority of our belongings to be ruined by rats which they clearly knew about when they raised the cost of rent but failed to inform us of. Anything that wasn't destroyed had to have every nook and cranny sanitized to avoid bringing diseases into our new home and to our pets. This took countless hours and delayed our ability to move. When we opened our storage unit after a few months, we found our belongings covered in mummified rats, rat feces, rat pee, furniture chewed up by rats and bodily fluid from rats decaying on our stuff... as well as rat poison which also ruined some of our things. They had come into our unit and put rat poison on our furniture and never told us a thing in the same months that they had raised our rent. The rats had even gotten inside our washing machine and chewed up the insides rendering it beyond repair. So many of these items were heirlooms and irreplaceable. I tried to inform the manager, Monika, of this and she just said that Dallas is covered in rats and to contact the insurance they required us to have. I have multiple family members with storage units all over DFW and they have never experienced anything like this. The insurance would only cover about $150 which paled in comparison to what was lost. Monika asked us if we would be out of the storage unit that day. We let her know that due to the extent of the damage we would likely need until the end of the month, which we had already paid, and would let her know personally when we were done. Later that day, we got a message that our storage unit had been closed out and that we needed to bring them our keys... Which made no sense because we made it clear we would still have things in the unit and had not advised that we were done. Again, the unit was paid for until the end of the month, a few weeks away. We called them back and the manager, Monika, reported that someone else (not us) had allegedly told her that we had moved out. Had we not followed up, the remainder of our things would likely have been sold by the facility without our knowledge. I responded that it probably isn't a good business practice for a storage facility to close out a paid for storage unit without the approval of the unit renters simply because of the word of a random person. Monika then cussed at me, called me stupid and a smart a**. I was gobsmacked. We had lost nearly everything and had been frank but polite through the process despite their negligence and the manager had the gall to cuss ME out and insult ME?! I wasn't able to find any contact info for anyone above her so it seems leaving a review is the only way to share my experience. I hope the owners of this business see this review and consider a new manager as Monika appears to be a huge liability, should anyone less forgiving than we are experience the same thing. We didn't even ask for a refund, although I do believe it would be the right thing to to do. We are fortunate to have family members who could give us some hand me down furniture but we had to basically start over. We would have been better off had we donated all of our things instead of renting a storage unit here. Someone less fortunate than us would have really suffered from this event. Truly, shame on this location! The level of cruelty is unmatched and I have never been so horrendously treated by a business and I hope that no one is ever treated this poorly by them again. Looking over the positive reviews, a lot of them, particularly those complimenting Monika, appear to be fake. Definitely look elsewhere for storage of your belongings.

Monika was amazing to work with when moving to my new storage unit. She mops the unit floors, she's often on property and making sure to keep the property free of trash and unnecessary debris. There was an issue with the previous tenant's small animal, and she took care of that completely. The unit was pristine when I moved in. She actually likes working with people, which is great for Public Storage.

My name is Ron and i have been a customer since summer 2023. Access to the property and my unit was very good. What made my experience great was the property manager Monika. My first encounter with Monika was a couple of weeks ago when she rode by my unit in cart and complimented me on our neat and organized my unit was. I recently met Monika again to discuss a recent rent hike and Monika advised me on my options. My last contact was with Monika today during my cancellation and i am sadden i will not see Monika again. Monika is a wonderful and warm human being, down to earth, with great interpersonal skills and Public Storage should use Monika as their prototype for promoting their product. Worst customer service, worst property management. Present team don’t respond to complaints, doesn’t answer, don’t call back. And now we are waiting at the office for more than 30 min, no one at the dusk.

I’ve used Storage 5x10 recently (July and Aug2023). I was able to fit my one bedroom stuff (two beds[1queen+oneking size] and few boxes as shown in attachment. There have been Rats moving around and u can hear them when u visit storage. They didn’t cut open my beds, but used my all boxes and beds as toilets. So worst smell of urine and other. I have to throw beds and bed sheets away due to unbearable smell. *If u love rat smell, then U would be delighted here.

Had my mothers things here for over 9 years I tried calling for 2 days and got no answer so I finally left a message which they called the day before the unit went up for auction but since I didn't get paid until 3pm the next day I lost the unit. Had just a little bit to pay and within 6 days it went from 116 up to over 360 bucks. They make sure you loose your unit. Shady people work here.

Such a terrible experience over the past couple of days at this site. I didn’t realize that they don’t prorate at P. S. and so I got my stuff moved out on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. I called customer service to ask if they could prorate the amount for me and they said that they don’t prorate according to their contract. It would’ve been nice if the associate at the front desk would’ve told me that I still had 27 days I could’ve used, but he didn’t. He just let me close my unit out and walk away. So, the last two days I’ve been trying to ask a property manager at this site if I can have my unit re-opened up since I paid for it. I want to put some stuff back in it and use the rest of the 3 1/2 weeks that I’ve paid for. But, to my dismay and other customers’s dismay (other customers have been showing up at this site the same time as me as well), no one has been at this property for the past two days. Also, some people at customer service tell you one thing that you can do to get help and then when you call back and get a different customer service representative, they act like they can’t do what the other person just said that they could do. So, people aren’t on the same page within the company and you’re ghosted with customer service representation at the physical locations. (I drove over to the MacArthur Blvd location and no one was there to help me either). Something is seriously wrong with this company lately!

Be wary of a 5x10 the unit is actually 5x9’3 but they call it “approximate”. Everything else is fine, but as soon as I no longer have an immediate need for this unit I’m cancelling. You don’t round up 8 inches

This review is a shoutout to the Manager Tee. She was amazing, friendly and provided wonderful customer service to us. Over the last weeks, we have used three different storage units, ranging from their smallest option, the 5x5 to their 15x20 option. She has been nothing but helpful in assisting us with our move in and move out from each unit based on our fluctuating storage needs. It was my first Public storage experience and I have to say that this location gave me nothing but positive vibes. Tee is gem and should be valued and appreciated for the care and standards she has for her customers and others.

This company will raise your rates without notice. Won’t call back to give you update about your bill after speaking with someone. Then will add other fees as your account while you wait for a response. Do not use them there are other companies out there that will not treat there customers like this.
