This location has been very inconvenient. 1st night i tried to move in my storage unit was on the 2nd floor, but couldn't find the elevator. The number provided took forever to connect to an agent. They were able to change my storage unit to one on the ground level but this particular one did not have a working light. I told them and it's still not fixed 2 weeks later.
Since my unit was changed, i thought the access code changed too as i could enter with the same code. I called the same number and couldn't get in touch with anyone. Luckily some one came and I trailed them in but it's just been a big inconvenience all around.
Went to this location looking at units for a friend, AL the manager on duty was informative and answered any and all questions I had. Definitely will recommend to friends and anyone looking for storage
My experience with Al was quick and efficient. He answered any and all questions I had about storing at his location.
So, I found myself needing a storage unit Urgently and I drove to the Public Storage Unit opposite Dobins Air Field. To my surprise, Public storage no longer has employees at the facilities I came to find out. Apparently they are either on some par-time or scheduled time onsite. That was the first inconvenience, apparently you have to scan a QR code to book the unit online. I did all of that and it was somewhat not user friendly. My 2nd and most frustrating point can after that. Apparently you have then show ID Verification and remember no one was onsite. I waited 2 hours calling the number on the door only for it to go to voicemail and no one was there to verify my ID so I can get access to the unit. I had hired hourly people that were helping me and this cost me trying to find someone who could verify my ID.
I decided to go to the Cumberland office to see if anyone could assist me and again ran into the same situation. while stressing there, I noticed some cooperate offices and I knocked and someone opened the door fortunately. I explained myself and the office manager informed me there was someone onsite at that location and we walked around for about 5-10 minutes until we found someone cleaning the unit who was able to verify my ID and released the unit by Dobbins. Hour 4 is when I was able to access my unit. Total waste of time! 5 hours into it some arrogant manager called me asking me what I needed. I could not bring myself to speak with him and I hang up.
People, beware of Public Storage new process. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RENT A UNIT IF YOU ARE IN A HURRY! YOU WILL NOT GET THE UNIT ASAP. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND PUBLIC STORAGE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME ESPECIALLY THE DOBBINS PUBLIC STORAGE! Find another storage that has actual employees you can interact with them and be done!!
I came by just to look around and left with a Unit. Al was very helpful, and knew exactly what i would need when i was ready to store
Had some issues with my unit and Al was able to figure them out and as a courtesy he able to help with my rent.

If you like being treated like just another number and being belittled and talked down to by Al and not having your items being treated w/respect and being eaten by rats and then being told that even though you have over $2000 worth of damage from the rats and the insurance that you’ve been paying monthly on will only pay $250 for vermin coverage then go ahead and store your items here. But if you want to be treated w/respect and dignity and your items being treated as a priority then go somewhere else don’t store your items here.

Just to provide an additional update so consumers know what they will be in for after the rats have destroyed your personal items and you leave the property cleaner than it was before renting the unit. I evacuated before the due date early morning but still getting hit with a fee where as when I spoke with a customer service manager Michelle she stated that there is a note on my account about waving the fee however collections would need to speak to me first about my review posted of the infestation or work something out which I have the phone recording. I received a call from a person named Tiana as well about my truthful review. If this is not cleared up of my name and the account balance due because I owe nothing and have the right to post photos of what happened to my personal property I will seeking legal action against this company as well as individuals. Please people read the reviews before you rent! You know who I am.
Don't store your items here. It is rat infested and their personnel/staff/management and home office does not care. The insurance that they get you to pay monthly for doesn't cover for vermin except for $250 even after all the damage that these rats are doing to people's personal property. Their insurance only gives you full coverage if someone breaks into the property or gets caught on fire. These rats are huge and they are terrorizing the units; urinating and depositing feces everywhere. Staff knew that these rats were here and destroying peoples items and they either ignored people or lied and said that they were filing claims on customers behalf knowing that the insurance wasn't going to cover all their items. And then were blaming customers for not taking their things out sooner or keeping their items in the storage for so long. This company shows no type of consideration, their customer service in person and on the phone is unethical and very unprofessional and they still want you to pay their monthly rising fees until you can afford to get your items out and take it somewhere else instead of compensating people and offering refunds for the months that peoples things were knowingly being damaged.
If you want your items ruined by rats, to be provided by horrible customer service by property “Manager” Al, the constant rental increases and fake charges to your account upon vacating then this is your stop. Ask any of the current tenants about the rat situation at this location.

Shay was such a great help!! She went above and beyond to assist me. I was having issues with the storage unit I originally purchased but she was able to transfer me to another storage unit easily. Shay made sure I was happy and handled my issues with a smile on her face. She made me feel at ease. Thank you Shay!!!

If I could give half of a star I would. The customer service was atrocious, it's a storage unit , I don't understand what's so hard about answering phone and being in the office when people come . It took 2 days and 2 trips and me waiting around 2 hours the first day for some one to come into the office and just now another hour and 30 .....people if we do not like the jobs we are working , then let's not ruin everyone else's experience at a business just because your not motivated enough to go do what you really want . Your causing these businesses to fail !

Amazing! I recently received the best service over the phone with Andriel from this location. As I currently rent from another location and have for 4 years, that store being of a different district but less than ten miles from Andriel's location. I have to say that I have never had anyone explain and take the time to answer many questions and offer insights and just explain very thoroughly and patiently to myself who basically called in frustrated and angry about charges and no access to my unit. This is by far the best experience I have had and a great contrast to my current locations manager who seems lazy and lazier. I would have never got this kind of help from my location from the location manager or the associates who relieve and fill in their on her off periods as it seems to spill over into those as well. I could not receive a call back when I had questions that the store manager or associates could not answer and for Andriel's patient, knowledgeable, professional and kind help I am ever appreciative.

Poor customer service; was told that I had a reservation (which means nothing). Was told it was climate control units, however they are not. Big hassle with prices. Was told that there was a8 by 20 on ground level- there was not
Terrible experience here. No parking space, can barely get in and out of the gate. The elevators are only for freight. You have to put your stuff in the elevator then walk down all the stairs to go get your things. I rented a truck to come get my stuff, only to find when I opened the door the staff had let someone take my stuff. They acted like they didn't know what happened
Only one way in and out and it was layer out for multiple entrance/exits. When something broke on the secondary gates they just closed them off.
Makes for a lot of backing up to get out.
