This location is amazing, always a good atmosphere when I come into the office. Even today when I came in Shalleenakaye and Ryan made me feel welcomed and helped me out with my forgotten code. I travel quite a bit and have been storing my belongings with various different storage unit companies but this has to be one of the cleanest and well kept storage facilities I have ever come across! If you’re looking for a legit and secured spot to store your possessions in the Seattle area, this is definitely the spot for you!
Shalleenakaye and Ryan are the best! Quality of service as well as quality of the facility have increased significantly with them around. Thanks!
As far as storage goes, the 10x20 space is fine for storing my 2800sqft house. Signing up and getting the space is pretty easy.
I'm rating this location 3 stars because of several issues that make this storage place a bit difficult to utilize:
1. There is very little to no cellular signal in this all-metal/concrete building. There is no back up public WiFi either to call out on. You have very little ability to call or check something on the internet while you are there. It also makes impossible to use the PS app if you have to log in again for some reason (it randomly wanted me to log in while I was trying to use the elevator...then had to scramble to find my manual code to push the elevator button.
2. The office closes at 6pm, which is reasonable, but it is the only time you can check out a cart (only 1 BTW...apparently you can't have more than one at a time!) What seems unreasonable is that for some random reason, the cutoff of the facility happens at 9pm (why not 10, 11, or 12pm?) Heaven help you if you arrive at 8:50pm, unload all your stuff in the elevator, find out it's 9:01pm and that the elevators lock you out, preventing you from getting to your floor. Then, you have to unload your stuff from the elevator back into your trailer after realizing, you are not going to be able to store your stuff. After trying to figure out what is going on, you have no way to call anyone or are you able to get out of the facility with your access codes. You can set off the access door alarms, and no one comes or checks out what is going on. It is a bit disturbing.
3. There is no exterior signage on the entry roll-up door to tell you the place is locked down at 9pm. There is no signage on the interior walls anywhere to call someone after hours for help. Nothing is posted in the elevator either.
4. The public storage app is very glitchy and currently, doesn't work at all...just starts and shows a spinning circle icon...doesn't go away, even after a phone reboot. I have manually key in my access code for everything (enter, elevator, leave.)
5. I've seen some sketchy people in the facility, especially after the office closes. There is a large homeless encampment behind the building. There are several past reviews here about people getting their storage locker broken into and homeless living in the stairwells. I swear during a later evening visit I heard someone inside a storage unit make a noise as I walked by. Why isn't there a security guard walking the premises after hours? We pay good money for renting here, you can't hire a single guard to patrol this location?
This experience was really difficult when you work all day, then use your evenings to pack up your things for storage to move out of a house by a deadline. At least allow access to the exterior entry door to 9:30pm, post some signs about the access hours, post an afterhours call number, and allow the elevators to work until 10pm. Thank you.
I am moving at the end of the month and needed a storage unit to temporarily hold my stuff. A whole apartments worth of stuff. I am alone and it's difficult job to move all this stuff by myself I also happen to suffer a stroke last month and my body doesn't behave as it should. A cart to load my stuff onto and wheel down the hallways would be helpful. This facility does not provide carts after 5:00 p.m. yet they are open until 9:00 p.m. so for 4 hours of everyday you potentially have people coming in to move things around with no wheels to help them do so. So be warned. Although this facility claims to be open till 9:00 p.m. which is one of its drawing factors, it is essentially only open until 5:00 p.m. which is when they put the carts away and no one can use them. So you are paying for membership to a storage unit that does not provide the proper equipment to prevent injury. And they are happy with this. I am not.
The space and location = excellent. The online process to get a unit was super simple. Office staff are top rate and very helpful. I can use my smart phone to unlock the gate and access my floor.
Only gave 4 stars because of the following:
1 - One of the 4 elevators (the one closest to my space) is out of order with no indication of when it will be back up and running.
2 - The moving carts/trollies (they only have 5 or 6 total) are only available during office hours so if you are there early morning or after 5PM or 6PM you need to bring your own if you have something heavy. I’m guessing it is because of theft but a bother non the less.
I dont know how this place has as many stars as it does. Renteres beware this place is not safe for your goods. Thieving is prevalent in this state and there is a good chance they have already scoped your locker out. Workers may be in on it. Dont rent here keep your stuff close to you!
One of the best storage facility experiences I’ve had! Janelle was super helpful in getting all set up and acquainted with the storage lockers and car storage areas. Highly recommend!

Experience was great and easy. We were looking for a storage unit and Shallenna Kaye was an amazing help in getting us situated.
When I came in I was helped by Shalleenakaye, she was extremely helpful and was able to answer all my questions perfectly and kindly. I was very impressed with how clean her area was well! To say the least she made my experience there definitely worth the 5 stars!!!

Ryan was very helpful and made the process in getting a unit very easy! I accidentally went to another Public Storage nearby, but eventually found the correct one, and Ryan was very patient and kind the whole time. The promotions for certain units are also hard to beat. Everything went smoothly!
Having moved in and out of storage units, throughout Seattle & beyond-- at least half a dozen times and almost exclusively Public Storage-- this was definitely THE best experience--all thanks to Shalleenakaye! From the moment I made the reservation online and showed up in person, she was responsive, friendly, incredibly accommodating and helpful. Furthermore, she has been consistently easy to reach by phone--unlike almost all of the other locations-- and always sounds genuinely happy to help and answer my many questions! Shalleenakaye's lovely disposition, knowledge & competence made this process seamless & really helped alleviate a lot of the stress and frustration that's often inherent in these experiences. And, even more, she restored my faith that there is still such thing as PHENOMENAL customer service. ANY employer should be delighted to have her on their team--100%. Oh, and the facility itself is clean & convenient!

Just got another rent increase email. Only took them 9 months to increase my rent up to $134 per month starting next month.
Less than a year ago (February 2023) I rented a 10x5 foot space for $40 a month, I just got an email saying as of January my rent is $110. They have increased my rent every other month as well as adding new insurance policies and other fees. Do not rent from here. They will take advantage of you, which sucks because the facility is nice and well taken care of, but not worth it at all.
Overhead door to drive in is broken more often than not. Elevator broken today now too. In the face of all this they raised rates last month. Take your business literally anywhere else.

I had been battling with a gate code issue at Public Storage for what felt like forever—every time I thought it was fixed, the gate just mocked me. After several failed attempts with other staff, I finally met Shalleenakaye. She was like an angel sent from above to save the day, with a positive attitude and an actual solution!! She didn’t just give me a quick fix; she found the real problem and solved it for good. Shalleenakaye’s knowledge and kindness turned my storage nightmare into a breeze. I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Public Storage, especially Shalleenakaye! From the moment I walked in, she made everything so easy and stress-free. I was moving last minute, and she helped me find the perfect unit for my belongings. Not only did she walk me through all the options patiently, but she also took the time to help me understand the best way to store my items to avoid damage.
What really stood out was when I accidentally locked myself out of my unit after hours. Shalleenakaye went above and beyond by staying late to make sure I could access my things. She was so kind and never made me feel like I was an inconvenience.

I needed space to store our outdoor camping gears. I worked with a staff member named Shalleenakaye who was super helpful. I was torn between a 5x5 and 5x10, so she offered to show me both units before signing up. She didn't have to do that, so I was very thankful.
Also, the facility is very clean as far as I can say, and hopefully very safe as well. You must enter a code both when you open the gate and also when using the elevator. I really appreciate that.
Also their application is easy to use and not clunky, which again I appreciate. Overall, I am positively surprised and highly recommend them.

My x broke the lock on the garage I was keeping my stuff in near Market st and lit it on fire wit her crazy ahh. 25 yrs old pokemon cards GONE. Not recommended. Something is always broken here. The gates, the elevators, the gates again. The front office is frequently empty, even during the middle of the day making it difficult to get a cart. No lock refund (waste of materials so they can make $10??!!) Look elsewhere.
Recently looked into moving my storage to Public Storage for my move to Seattle, I was helped by Shalleenakaye, who was super informative and knowledgeable! I got all of my questions answered and will definitely be storing here when I move in the near future.
The building has a repeated pattern of malfunctions. Gates have been out of operations for weeks, forcing them to leave them open all day, making access to anyone. There has been reports of theft. The carts are locked in the office so you have to carry things by hand outside of office hours. Today, all of the elevators were shut down, not giving us access to our unit. We took a day off to move our stuff and now we have to bring it back to our house. I do not recommend to rent a unit until they prove that this building is safe and sound. Per today, it is not. All that being said, the staff is amazingly patient despite being confronted with all the technical mismanagement of the building.

We were recently helped by Wesley at Public Storage, and the experience was exceptional! Wesley helped my partner and I rent a storage unit, and we couldn't have asked for a better customer service experience. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, making the entire process easy and stress-free. Honestly, it was one of the best customer service experiences either of us has ever encountered. We will definitely recommend this location to anyone we know who needs a storage unit.

The rate went up almost 50% without warning or cause and the big roll up doors are never working so all traffic has to enter and exit the same way with nowhere to turn around. Sometimes the doors are just left open so it’s not secure. I would care a lot less if it wasn’t paying $100/month for a 5x5 space. Don’t increase your rates if your facility constantly has issues.

Great facility for location and such. But.......doors are always broken preventing access much of the time. Hand carts are rarely available making it extremely difficult to move product in and out. I have been at this location for about 3 years. Nothing seems to improve.

Hours of operation are limited. Monthly fees will double with very little short notice. My current rates have 3x within 12 months. Probably a better option out there. Mobile app crashes when trying to change your password.

Wondering how to file a complaint for stolen item from storage unit. We held our belongings here for over a year and just realized that my laptop has been missing. A storage is supposed to be a safe space to store items ? Especially with this extra security. Was not notified of any break in to unit , just like other customers apparently. Who will replace my stolen item ? Or at least pay me what it’s worth?
Very poorly managed facility. I stored my household here for 4-5 months as I transitioned to a new home. There was never a day when one or both of the main roll-up access doors weren't out of order (what kind of security can you guarantee with this problem?). Two stars for being dry and clean.
Our storage got ripped open after 1-2 months. But our stuffs are still in tact. We’ve met 3-4 renters over here that said their stuff got stolen 😧😧 Other than this concern, everything else has been great. Good service! Location is very clean and very new.

My car was even parked at a weird angle, so Wesley went through extra effort to make sure it was up and running, despite my insisting I could just come back later with a jump starter battery. Half of my things got stolen from here, after only being there for less than half a year. Literally the only job it's supposed to do, and they failed horribly. Cannot recommend this place to anyone
It started out with a great rate of $44 a month, dollar by dollar they've increased it over the last 6 months until it's now $91 a month for a 5x5 unit. Astonishing - nobody to answer calls, no resource - absolutely predatory. Take your business somewhere else

Shalleena went above and beyond to help us find the right storage unit. Commuting back and forth from storage units to her office! She showed us different units until we found one that suited us.
She is a prime example of the ultimate customer service.
This place was a good place to have for storage up until public storage took over. We paid our bill 1 day late and went to access our belongings, and they had changed the lock and no one was available to speak with about it. Then a month later, bill paid on ti.e, we went to access our unit again, and this time they cut off our personal lock and put in another cylinder lock that we do not have they key to, so once again, can not access our storage THAT WE PAY AND ARE CURRENT ON PAYMENTS for, and once again, no one is available to speak with or to get us into our unit where our Belongings are. Also when it was self storage, a code was required to enter building as well as to access your units floor on elevator, now once in the building, you can go to any floor you like without having to use a code. So units are no longer nicely secured. Anyone can access anyone's unit where there personal belongings are, the employees, remove locks and switch to locks the unit holder doesn't have keys to whenever they want, and there is no support. This company public storage that bought out self storage is a disgrace and very unprofessional as well as lacking professionalism around keeping people's belongings ngings secure and accessible. Our bills are current and we have no outstanding balance, there is no excuse for destroying ng and removing our 💻 nal lock that we paid for as well as changing. Cylinder lock to one we don't have a key for so we can not access our unit. This is not ok and very unprofessional. If you are thinking about purchasing a unit at this facility, I urge you to rethink and choose a different location as at this facility, your belongings will be very unsecure, and at anytime you may not have the ability to access your belongings you pay the facility to keep safe. This facility is VERY BAD, VERY BAD, VERY BAD. If you want professionalism, security, access, and piece of mind , then this is definitely not the facility to give your money and business to. I wish I would of been giving the opportunity to choose when ownership changed, but it became public storage with no advanced warning or information, we were just told one day it was now self storage and she never, nothing has been professional or secure or accessible as well as no access to support in resolving issue. Anywhere is better than here. Take care.
I arrived on time for my appointment and waited 1.5 hours to check in for a unit and no one showed up to check me in. I called customer service and they said the manager would come in 5 minutes and they never did. Stressful and horrible experience. There’s also a whole homeless encampment right behind the building so no wonder why there are so many break ins. I advise NOT using Public Storage.

My location in particular has gone through ups and downs because of its past company wouldn’t fix things and even the merger with Public Storage hasn’t changed things much but what I like about the place is that we have a new app from Public Storage to get in and the things that have been kept in storage were never stollen, there’s climate, and carts to help move all your stuff.

The company will not give you visibility into the camera footage without a police report, and they will not do it anyway. Very shady business. Almost half the contents was stolen, this is not something just 1 homeless person could have taken.
Do not use it. let the business go out of business. I beg you!

On many occasions I have tried to come in and nobody in the office. Longest wait time was an hour and nobody came to the office. This all has happened when the company is supposed to be open.
While Vic at the store is great, the management and customer service is the WORST I've ever dealt with.
My rent was increased after 3 months, with no intimation whatsoever.
I had auto pay setup and for some reason, it didn't work in one instance (while it had been fine for the past 5 months), and my rent became overdue. As soon as I received an email about the pending rent, I walked up to the location to ask on what exactly was the problem and they mentioned they had no access to it on why it didn't get through and had now added a late fee to it (still not bad).
They told me to reach out to their regional manager who'd have the details on what happened and could probably help.
Called the guy multiple times through the week, leaving multiple voice mails, yet no response, until I went to the location again. I had no access to my storage unit all this while (understandably, since the rent was overdue, but hey, a week is a decent enough timeframe to respond back).
Finally, went back to the store, and they made me speak to their Regional Manager for WA and CA locations, Bob, and hands down I've not spoken to someone this rude in a long time.
He kept on arguing and was just focused on money. No respect whatsoever for me trying to reach out to understand what was going on with the auto pay, the rent increase etc.
Learnt that their rent increase notification process is pretty straight forward. In his words - "We send a letter in the mail and just assume you got it. We have no way to track and it's not our responsibility. If you never received it, I can't do anything about it and it's not my responsibility".
Ended up paying the rent + late fee (I was anyways there to pay rent), and making the decision to move out, because there's no point being there after such a bad experience.
This place is huge. It’s a little unnerving for me going into the huge unloading bay; It reminds me a little too much of being booked into king county jail. The good news is your stored possessions will be just as safe and secure as they would be in jail.

I walked into this place and was treated perfectly and quickly and I got a car storage and regular storage and I couldn't be any happier. There is literally no other place I will leave my stuff in Seattle. It was easily the best experience I could have ever expected.
This place is NOT SECURE and employee not helpful.
We used their cylinder lock and the unit was broken into while the lock was intact.
SELLING FALSE INSURANCE
This facility sells insurance policy and mis-represent that insurance policy covers theft. We filed complaint with WA attorney general office against the storage facility, and complaint w insurance commissioner against that policy they sold.
They first gave a bs reason that we cannot see the surveillance footage because company policy. Another phone call later, the reasons became he does not know how to operate the camera and we need to follow the procedures. Suspicious that their own employees may be the ones did the break-in!

Ken and Vic were super helpful. Ken walked me through the facility, talked about how pricing shifts a little as the seasons change so I’d be informed and not surprised and both were knowledgeable and professional. This may not matter to you, but we laughed a lot. We talked during the sign up process about the city, and our families, and we laughed a lot. To me, that was priceless. Great guys. 100 percent I’d recommend the business and the staff.

Ken helped me secure exactly what I needed. He helped me correct my online rental which I made some mistakes on, and got me set up with what I really needed. He also saved me money in the process. When someone is competent, helpful, authentic and kind, along with be professional and pleasant, we should let others know. That’s what I’m doing here. This place is basically a scam. I signed up in December for a rate of $37.50 a month. In march my "introductory rate" was dropped and I was charged $65 the next month $68 after that and now in only my 6th month renting a unit my rate is $78 a month for the SMALLEST UNIT. Competitors in the area are more money upfront but don't steadily increase the rent monthly with no notice. Don't trust this business they are just stealing your money.
Bait and Switch, beware! I rented a unit with them in January before leaving the State. After three months the rate I was sent a notice saying the rate would increase by $35 in a month. I called and spoke with the office, also the same man I rented from in January, who claimed the rate fluctuated monthly and they could increase the price as many times in a year as needed. Clearly I was not told this when I rented the unit or I would have rented with another company. When I politely asked for the legal departments number he provided a number for his DM which turned out to not work and appears incorrect. Attempting to locate someone to speak with about this matter, however, there appears to be nothing online. Needless to say I would NOT recommend renting from this establishment.

Unfortunately I have to give this facility one star.
When we moved in, over two years ago, it was five stars. And again last August I would also give it 5 stars. Something has changed for the far worse since then.
We arrived to find our very secure disc shaped lock was cut, the door latch was pried apart. Clearly someone tried to break into our unit.
There were metal shavings on the ground. We have no idea when this happened. We had no contact from the company. We reported a week ago and have had zero communication about what’s happened, review of video, etc. nothing.
There doesn’t appear to be regular walk-throughs that would catch and report such incidents. At a minimum I would expect a professional place would notice the damage and inform the renter.
Amazingly our second lock saved the day and our unit was spared. I was shocked but not surprised to see the many other reviews about break ins. We dodged a major bullet to have our belongings stolen and gone forever.
During the last week we have seen the main entry gate closed only once. We have been by every day to deal with this situation. Even early on a Sunday morning the big gate was wide open for anyone to walk in. Units on the ground floor are open to the world.
There is evidence of people camping under stairwells. We have seen random people just wandering the hallways. People without the appropriate access codes, asking us to let them in. We did not let them in and we referred them to the manager. This is unacceptable.
Carts used to be locked. That is no longer the case. They are now hard to find and during our week here we had to beg to get a cart. We saw people use a cart then not return it. Carts left on random floors are inaccessible to other renters. This is unacceptable.
Without appropriate security, response to issues, and reaction to theft attempts, this is not an acceptable facility to keep valuables. I’m sorry that this happened to a place that was so professional to begin with.
If you have a unit here please make sure you have a total of three locks, the barrel lock and two other locks. Additionally, make sure you are insured appropriately. The insurance offered is only $2,000. Alternately you may want to look for a new place if you want to have peace of mind.

Around Thanksgiving 2022 we started to see problems. The facility was getting dirtier and some units had break ins, Leaving one evening, the exit door was not functional at all. We had to make a turnaround in the loading bay. No note or email from management. Over the next few weeks, some days it would be left completely open, even overnight. Other times it would be closed. No communication from management.
By January the exit door continued to be non-functional and now the entry door was broken causing everyone to park outside and cart their items through a small door next to the broken bay door. Again, no communications from management. We went to the office to not only get an ETA on repair but also understand if some sort of refund in rent was going to be offered due to the inconvenience. We were quickly brushed off by the new manager, Victor informing us corporate was issuing partial refunds and sending out an email to everyone.
February rolled around and no message or credits on our account. We asked the front office again and were quickly brushed off saying any refund requests need to be sent to the corporate office. A phone call to the 800 number went nowhere and an email to their general inbox went unanswered.
By early March the entry door was fixed but the exit door was still broken and now the elevator closest to our unit was broken. I called the front office again. This time speaking to Nathan, our unit’s floor manager. He was very nice and let us know he escalated our complaints to the regional manager, and we should get some sort of compensation and email back. A week later we got a letter in the mail saying our rates were increasing. We still had yet to hear anything from the regional manager. At this point we had enough and submitted our two weeks notice to vacate mid-month.
On our last day we got a moving truck and purposefully backed it into the loading bay so we could exit out the entrance instead of turning around in the bay. We unloaded and cleaned the unit removing all locks. We went to the office and saw Victor, the site manager we’ve talked with before. I signed the move out letter and let him know we wanted a move out inspection before leaving. No apology or any follow-up to our previous grievances. Because everyone is charged the 1st of the month and despite leaving mid-month, nothing was pro-rated or credited for the full month paid. He asked if we were still parked in the loading bay, which we were and that our code would not work to leave so he’d have to let us out. He escorted us to our truck to which I reiterated I would like a move out inspection of our unit. No locks are on the unit and I did not want to be charged a cleaning fee or have something damaged in the unlocked unit. He said he would inspect it when he does his rounds later. I insisted we perform the inspection now. He rolled his eyes and escorted us to our unit. Saying nothing along the way, he quickly opened and closed our unit door, barely looking inside, and escorted us back to the truck. He then proceeded to the exit door. Miraculously this was the day it was fixed. I told him we can’t get out that way now because we deliberately backed in the moving truck because no one informed us the exit door was fixed after months. Victor was visibly annoyed by us and let us out the entrance. Closing our Simply Self Storage saga.
Our experience could have been better if the facility communicated to their tenants and had better customer service. I can empathize when something breaks, like the loading bay doors, can be difficult to acquire replacement parts. But to brush us off and expect us to pay full price when basic functions fail is unacceptable. I can tell reviews are inflated and you’ll notice management only comments on 4 and 5 star reviews. If you are in the market for a storage place, shop somewhere else. Yes, prices here are cheap but as the age old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Simply Shady - given there are other options in the area, I would advise you to use another company. This is my second time using them, and either the first time was a fluke or they've just become very shady in how they withhold details about specific pricing, additional charges, promotions actually being a thing, etc
The setup process was also a poor experience. The employee didn't want to show me all the available units, questioning me why I wanted to see different units that were in more convenient locations. He even asked me to just come back later when the manager was there, overall didn't seem to care to finish the deal that day, I had to make more effort than I was expecting to pay for the service.
Do not put your belongings in this unit. Half of our stuff were stolen and they didn't even notify us! We found out 2 months later when we returned to town. They do not have security at night and homeless people enter the facility all the time, especially when someone opens the garage door. Several other units were broken in too, apparently they accessed through the top of the unit that has enough space for a person to climb, cut the top wiring and got in. We filed a complaint and they only offered $2000. They were rude and helpless. We moved our remaining belongings to another place. Please trust me, stay away from this place.

I have updated my review to 1 star after I found out that someone broke into my unit and stole some of my stuff. I moved out of Seattle temporarily and a few weeks ago had to go back for work. I went into the unit to leave some more stuff there and found out that there was no lock. When I opened the door I saw the mess caused by the thief (or thieves) and immediately realized that my bike, my acoustic guitar and my paddle board were missing. Also several boxes with shoes and handbags/purses. I spoke with the building manager immediately and unbelievably he acknowledged that they were aware of the situation since January 27th!!!!! He mentioned that they left us a voice message when they found out, which is not true of course. They put zero effort on contacting me. They also didn't consider putting a temporary lock in my unit until someone showed up, which means that my unit has been accessible to anyone for more than 2 months!!!! Unfortunately they do not have security cameras near my unit, only around the elevator area. THEY ARE NOT PROFESSIONAL AND NOT TRUSTWORTHY!

After checking some of the online offers from the website I went to the facility to see the units in place. I was given the tour by Jodie and she explained how everything works in detail. She helped answer all my questions and gave me a lot of confidence. I signed up right away. 100% recommended!
Went to here a few weeks back. Wanted a space close to home and affordable. Hard to find a location that meet both criteria. I met a Nathan there and he showed me several options. Still shopping around but getting close to making a decision. So far, I'm learning towards this clean place.
The location is great. Prices are good. Nathan has been very helpful. He is pleasant on the phone as well.

Couple of minor downsides. One is that the exit gate was broken for months. The other is that, sometimes, people were waiting to tailgate in. (They didn't look like they had storage needs.)

There are plenty of options in the area, and these guys are super scammy. I was only here a few months and one of the gates was broken a majority of the time (this is a drive through space so it makes it super awkward). Also, they give poor move out instructions and then continue to charge you after you’ve already vacated the space - felt suuuper scammy. No follow up or notification.
Not everyone’s experience might be like mine, but there are too many good options around to risk it. Go to Public Storage or one of the others just down the road.
Clean, temp regulated, secure. what else needs to be said! Left my items in for almost 3 months and they were just as I left them. Nathan was very helpful with closing my account. Wish the gate hours were longer though.

It’s been interesting watching this place go downhill over the last two years. While the prices are great and the building is new, there are better options out there.
From the lack of working garage doors (including being left open overnight at times) to the lack of basic cleaning of common spaces, this place is certainly the worst of the newer storage facilities in Interbay.
Sometimes you can’t find a cart because too many are stolen or misplaced. Sometimes someone on foot runs in through the exit door when you leave. Disappointing.
After two years, I’ve left because I don’t believe the management cares about the security of my property.

Used to be good, but prices have risen while maintenance has suffered. Sometimes both doors are broken, one of them has been broken for almost a year now. No compensation. No apologies. Nothing.
I have a very good overall experience with Simply Storage, certainly much better with other storage places I've used. They're very professional and pay attention to detail.

I just moved to Seattle from Wisconsin and was looking for a storage unit. Nathan was helpful through the entire process - getting an appropriately sized unit, lease signing and getting a tour of the facility and unit.
Great facility when it first opened but has been going down hill over the past few years.

Had a really great experience working with Jodi Whitney at Simply Storage. She transferred our storage from one unit to next and took time to get us the right unit we were looking for. There was some confusion because one of the units was unexpectedly taken, but she handled it like a pro. Great storage place! Convenient, clean, easy access!
UPDATE as of 1/15/23. The back door which conveniently allowed storage renters drive into the facility and out the back has been broken for an unacceptable length of time. The front door was broken too, but they were able to fix that relatively quickly, although it was very inconvenient during the time it was out of operation.
I understand that it is not the company’s fault that certain drivers (probably with large moving trucks) have cause these issues. This should never of happened in the first place.
This is not the fault of the people who work the front desk.They’re considerate and helpful. Let’s hope that the parts arrive soon to repair the broken back door.
This storage facility started out great. However the price for the unit rises constantly. The Exit door has been broken for months and now the entrance door is also broken. To get your stuff in and out you have to use a small side door and park outside in the parking lot. Things here are constantly broken. I have tried to contact the facility itself multiple times over the past couple of weeks as well as their corporate office. I have not received one call back or follow up. I have also stopped by in person during operating hours to speak with someone and there hasn't been anyone inside. The people renting space here deserve a rent reduction at this point. Things have been broken for MONTHS. Broken things happen but the amount of time things are left broken and unaccessible have gotten out of control. I hope leaving this review gets someones attention and I can speak with someone other than the third party company trying to sell me additional space.

This is definitely the best storage experience that I have ever had. That gal Jodie was so patient and kind when I didn't really know what I needed to begin with, but she was so helpful in figuring out the best size for me! I will definitely be referring her and simply storage to everyone I know. In the past I have had nothing but problems renting storage units. But Jodie made it all so simple and pain free. I don't have to go home feeling like I was tricked or taken advantage of like I have in the past with Public Storage on multiple occasions. This time Jodie helped me get exactly what I needed for a great price and nothing more or less. I am so grateful to her for her patience and helpful attitude. She made the whole experience like I was just talking to my best friend. So easy and even a little fun, I must confess. I rarely write reviews, especially negative ones, but our experience was so abysmal, we had to. Yesterday, we set up an appointment to come in today "between 2-3" to tour a unit. When we showed up at 2:30, there was a sign saying that no one was there and to come back at 3. We called to confirm and mentioned that we had set up an appointment. The staff member who was sitting right in front of us through the glass door proceeded to ignore us through the glass for 5 minutes, and then he eventually came over and told us that it was his lunch. We understood and returned 30 minutes later only to have the staff member be extremely rude and short with us. He said two things during the entire encounter of viewing the unit, "why are you here" and "so are you going to get it or what." He did not answer questions about the unit or explain anything additional about the facilities. We came in fully expecting to rent out the unit due to the great reviews online and fair pricing, but the experience was so bad that we gladly drove down the road and paid more per month for better service.

Had public storage before, in a couple of years they raised the amount over $100 per month from when I started renting storage there. Simply self-storage however seems to be the least expensive storage facility I've been able to find in this area, and though the price did jump about $40 recently, it's still far less than I was paying at Public Storage even though I was renting a 10x10 at PS and am renting a 10x18 at SSS. Another advantage of SSS over PS is the availability of a restroom during office hours, the access to storage expands before and after office hours, there is covered parking for those with storage access, and all of the office crew that I've encountered (4 so far) have been helpful and friendly; and I see them occasionally as they walk the facility or in the office. Office crew is easy to get a hold of and the one time I entered the facility and found the elevator non-functional, I was able to get a hold of them immediately via the intercom outside the elevator. There are four elevators (that I'm aware of) to access storage facilities, which guarantees if one goes out there are three others still available for use. Access into the covered parking and elevators require personally assigned codes to enter. At the time of this writing, the exit for vehicles is non-functional So when either has to turn around by three-point turning, or back into the facility parking... but as I work security in a high-rise building in Seattle and our loading dock is awaiting a part to repair it being able to lift and lower, I can say that ordering and receiving grill parts takes months sometimes and not due to anything the storage facility is involved with; that's completely on the part of the place the parts are being ordered from. But when it IS working, I've had absolutely no problems with the entering or exiting. I'd have to say personally that I'm happy with the facilities and highly recommend them.

Building looks nice, but don't be fooled. Exit gate is constantly broken and security is lax. My unit was broken into, and the management refuses to give any detail as to how it happened. $15k+ worth of stuff was taken, which would have required several trips up and down the 'secure' elevator with several cameras.... yet, they have provided literally zero information to help with the police investigation. Also, I know for a fact that at least two units next to mine were robbed as well, so this points to a larger issue that they seem to be wanting to cover up.
The 'insurance' included in the price is a total joke as well, with a $2k limit. And the regional manager straight up stopped responding to my emails for updates.
Totally unprofessional- I highly recommend finding a different storage company.

Friendly call about a unit I reserved. Jodie was pleasant and motivated me to come in the same day for the paperwork. So far it has been a good experience. Would recommended to friends and family.
Renter beware: this place looks brand new and secure, but it’s a facade. Our storage unit and another that adjoins it were both broken into—the thief/thieves having more than ample time to pilfer through boxes and sort out what was valuable and what was not. It’s clear that whatever “security” may exist in the building isn’t actively monitored. The company itself effectively told us “tough luck”, though the incident occurred through no fault of our own.
If you do decide to rent from this place, be sure to attach an additional lock of your own beyond the “secure” one they’ll make you buy. You’d also be wise to forego their high premium, low coverage, insurance and get your own renter’s policy through a reputable insurer.

Signing the lease for the unit was quick and painless. Facility is clean and well organized. I worked with Jodie who was absolutely great and gave me a walkthrough and explained everything I needed to know. 10/10.

Great Place So Far
Had a rougher patch recently during the great resignation as they were short-staffed, but overall have had a great experience with SSS. They are well designed as a facility, modern, safe, and convenient with lots of room to get your car / truck in, lots of carts around. Good tech, sufficient portal functionality. Be aware that vertical clearance is 12'6"

We had a great experience at Simply Self Storage. After contemplating a few storage spaces, we finally zeroed in on this one after visiting the facility, as the space was clean and looked secure, as well as they let you reserve a unit for a couple of days before you can book it. Must say, interacting with all 3 agents at the front desk was equally pleasant. Moving in was quick and smooth, no hassles.
On the day of our move, we were assisted by Jody, who did a great job helping us with accessing our unit, showing us around and being there any time we needed assistance. She was very patient in helping us change the access code to our unit at least thrice on the same day 😃. Definitely, the easiest and stress free part of the moving was Simply Storage!! Poorly managed.
This location has multiple doors that do not close all the way. In addition I have found the door to the outside has been propped open with various items during some of my visits. The combination of these 2 doors allow open access to the units from the outside. The doors that don’t close have been in that state since I moved in 4 months ago and the local management still has not addressed the issue.
Note their office staff is nice and they offer competitive pricing initially but after 3 months, your rent doubles.

I called the company to inquire about possible storage plots. Spoke with a woman, Jody(?). Amazing customer service and definitely answered my questions to the best of her ability. I will be using this facility to house many of my vehicle relics just due to her positive and upbeat personality. Definitely one of the better storage front staff I've come across.

Decent self-storage, but barely. I switched over from a nicer chain (west side s.s.) where I realize in retrospect I was spoiled. The unit was fine but had only a chain-link ceiling (nicer/higher security units have 5 solid walls). And at every turn there was some little thing, especially with customer service. Like once, due to a miscommunication (partly their fault, partly mine) we missed a bill, but the crazy part is I didn't find out that they were in the process of *seizing my unit* until I tried to get in one day and my code didn't work. At the previous place I would have gotten a quick call from the manager before it got anywhere near that.
Similarly, they have ludicrously annoying rules about spouses sharing units (which they claim is due to liability/custody in divorces but again is not a thing elsewhere). Similarly, they have a stack of carts but most of them are chained up most of the time (?). The carts are also very small - think, flatbed shopping cart. Similarly, if you want to use your homeowners or renters insurance, rather than buying theirs (a common practice and good way to save the $15 bucks a month they want) they will look at you like you are from Mars, then demand weird, obscure paperwork. Compare that to West Side, which actually suggested it as a way to save a few bucks, and just needed a copy of the policy.
On the upside, the place is clean and when you call you get a real human being in the actual on-site office on the phone - neither of which should be taken for granted. And the people at the front desk do do their best to help you, even if they are trapped in the bowels of a giant corporation.
At the end of the day, would I rent from them again? Yes. Barely, but yes. The little things are annoying, but they are also pretty economical, and from everything I hear they're still quite a bit better than Public or some of the others.
BEWARE! Fraudulent service, poor customer support, zero satisfaction.
I sent a cancellation notice and emptied the storage unit, got the lock out on the last day of the month and checked out at their office. They told me everything was good. However, they still charged me the full amount on the first day of next month.
I called to enquire about it, store employee said he can’t help and asked me to talk to his manager. I called next day and the manager said I still had the lock on the first day of the month. I asked her to provide a proof but she didn’t have anything. She confirmed that I never visited the unit after last day of previous month from her records but somehow I came in the next month to take out the lock.
She told me it was possible to enter the building, take an elevator and go the unit without getting noticed. This is the type of security that they have, manager is acknowledging that anyone can access any unit without the security code.

Luis did an amazing job of showing me the facility and breaking down the cost of everything. Location was much nicer than previous storage unit with a different company. Wish Luis was a permanent member of Seattle location so others could work with him! Highly recommend!

Ken at the internet location was great! Fast and helpful. The process overall took 20 mins and the move in process was helped by large lobbies, smooth elevators and good lighting.
I recently rented a storage unit and Ken was extremely helpful and friendly. He is a bright spot of genuine connection and customer service in the usually cold and distant Seattle. I rarely write reviews but felt the need to call him out for his great work. Storage is not very exciting but he made me walk away with a smile. Just started using the storage unit but it’s a good deal and seems clean and secure (and what more does one really want/need in storage).

I come here often with my partner who is a tenant and the staff are relatively friendly, I’m a little perturbed by the fact that everytime I have gone into the office space that they always seem to have a camera pointed directly into our car it definitely feels like a slight invasion of our privacy but it’s whatever.
