I recently had the pleasure of utilizing the storage services at this location, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a spotless environment that immediately put my mind at ease. The cleanliness of the facility is truly impressive, reflecting a level of professionalism that is hard to come by.
What really stood out to me, however, was the outstanding customer service provided by the staff. The girls at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made me feel valued as a customer and were more than willing to assist with any questions I had. One team member, in particular, Sharaine, went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was seamless. Her cheerful demeanor and willingness to help made all the difference. She took the time to explain the storage options available, providing insights that helped me select the perfect unit for my belongings.
Overall, I am very happy to have my items stored at this beautiful location. The combination of a pristine facility and exceptional service, especially from Sharaine, has exceeded my expectations. Regina and Sharaine were absolutely brilliant and amazing they are so friendly and they keep this facility so clean. They are very informative and willing to help.
Sharaine helped me with renting my unit and getting me the lowest price that was available at the time and told me the best way to move my items.
Regina helped suggest the best was to organize my stuff into my unit when she saw me while I was looking at my unit confused.

Every staff member I've encountered here have been very professional and helpful. We were able to pull our 26 ft. rental truck into the covered parking area and quickly and efficiently moved items into my unit. This facility has excellent security measures in place and I feel very confident accessing my unit when needed. I highly recommend.
I’ve had a unit at Public Storage on 97th and Aurora for two years now.
The manager, Regina, has always been very friendly and helpful every time I go in. The facilities are kept clean, and Regina is very quick to respond to questions customers have.
Regina, the manager is always so thoughtful and helpful. This feels like a very safe place and she’s always on top of everything.
This place is great, the staff are really nice, and Regina, the manager is awesome. she’s super helpful and sweet and funny. i’ve heard lots of horror stories at other storage units, but everyone seems to be very happy with their experience here. It’s the first time I’ve ever had to have a storage unit, and I’m very grateful that It’s been a nice experience!

*Personal anecdote with trust. No need to worry about small high value Items missing from your unit here, while conveniently zero camera footage of said alleged incident. Maybe this happens when the PS location is in the “center of the universe.”

This is my second time at this location so I was expecting to have to purchase a new lock only to find out that they have Bluetooth activated units that don’t require a lock. 😵 That was a pleasant surprise. Now I just have to remember how to use it. Lol

Sharaine is so helpful. She showed me 4 units and she is very funny. If she wasn’t working here, I would have figured she would be a comedian. And she has such a unique pair of glasses. When I was looking at them I thought they were broken but they are not. When you see them you will know what I mean. The facility is very clean and very easy to locate units and find your way around.

I’ve genuinely had a horrible experience with this place from the get go. On my move in day my gate code wasn’t working but there was no one in the office to help me out, and the phone number sent me straight to voicemail so I had to drive to the other location down the street for them to help me there. Then this evening I was finishing up the last of my move in and I got a HORRIFICALLY rude phone call informing me at 4:55 that they close at 5:00. I tried explaining that I’m was in a bit of a dire situation (6 am flight tomorrow, need to finish moving out of my apartment) but the customer service agent hung up on me while I was mid sentence, telling me it’s not her problem. I had never been informed of a closing time, and after all this, when I checked the closing time online it’s 6:00.
I I have had an excellent experience. Regina has been so helpful and professional. The location is clean and well organized. There is ample parking and plenty of carts. all of my interactions with Regina have been positive and she goes out of her way to answer questions and make things easier. For example, I have had problems getting in the door and she immediately came over and showed me what to do when it was time for me to check out, I asked her about getting a lock for storage unit in my building and she recommended that I go to a another Public Storage and talk to Brandon which I did That same day. Brandon was also very helpful while I was there he helped me determine the type of lock I would need and I realize that I had forgotten something at Regina's location before I could finish my sentence he was on Regina to help me and she immediately replied that I could come back and get what I needed so I can't say enough positive things about both locations in particular of course the location that I use which is Regina's location but they're just so helpful and I I think it's probably one of the best business experiences I've had in Seattle.
Staff and facility was very professional and well trained. The supervisor, Miss Regina went the extra mile and helped me save money. She didn't have to do that, but she still did it anyways. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
*One small request. Would love for more flexible access hours, more condusive to small business owners dealing with dynamic needs of our own customers (i.e. emergency repair companies). Understandably, the schedule itself is sensible and an unfortunate reflection of doing business on Aurora. Maybe one day all of us doers, join together with businesses, to convince the decision makers to ease up on making our life more difficle.

I needed to store a few things for a week or so while I was moving, and the ladies staffing the phone and desk made setting this up very easy. Since I used the storage unit for such a short time they prorated my monthly charge and lock fee and refunded me some of the fees. The facility was clean and well monitored, so I felt safe too.

We've been in this storage unit for almost 4 years with very easy customer service. We got a good promo rate and they explained very well how it could incrementally go up so I was fairly prepared for it. Today I got a notice for a rate increase and called to see if there was anything I could do about it; the property manager got back to me very quick but still managed to get an authorization to push out the increase so I can financially plan for it more. Super helpful and super friendly. I definitely appreciate the demonstrated care for customers!

Rent just went up by 30% after only five months. That is absolutely predatory.
I had an issue with my unit being too small, and Haley was SO helpful in problem solving with me. We were able to identify another unit that was more suitable for what I needed and she was very knowledgeable and professional in transferring my space to a more usable space! Thank you Haley!!!
My experience at this Public Storage facility (9701 Aurora Ave N Seattle) has been awesome! Not only is the facility super secure, clean, and always in working order with plenty of carts, but the staff is friendly and patient. I had so many tedious questions at first, and both LemLem and Cathy were gracious and kind in their thorough responses. It's always a positive experience when I have to visit my storage unit!
I have been a customer at this location since it opened and have had my current unit since June of 2020. I called in today and spoke with Sharaine. The five stars are for their customer service. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helped to the best of their ability.
Ms. Lemlem absolutely sold me on this location. She was so sweet and helpful when it came to picking out the right storage size and navigating the location. I was running late and on the last day of my move and she turned a real stressful situation into a totally pleasant conversation and experience. I strongly advise against renting from this company. The property manager accused me of stealing a bathroom key and yelled at me for no reason. Despite being paid up, they even locked me out of my unit and evicted me. Throughout the incident, the company violated my contract in many ways. I called corporate to report the incident, but I only received a return call two weeks later, informing me of my eviction. They claimed that I had received a letter, but I never did. I even followed up with them but they showed no concern for their employee's unacceptable behavior. I never did anything to warrant this level of disrespect.
We are long past covid and while the rest of the world has resumed normal business hours.....Public Storage has not! They close at 6pm, so getting off work, sitting in traffic then arriving with 10 minutes left till close. Then running to try and grab something out of your storage unit while getting fussed at by the attendant, who has no patience and no flexibility for what it takes to get to the storage facility! Literally have to take time off work if I need to get something out of my storage unit!

We had a great experience coming to rent our unit today. Regina was the employee who helped us through the process and made it as easy as possible. She was very kind, professional and a joy to talk to. The building is clean and quiet, too, which is always a plus :)
Best storage place I've ever used. Super efficient to get in and out, even for the upper levels. Clean, well lit. No concerns about security. Plenty of elevators and carts. Wish the operating hours were longer, but that apparently is the trade off needed to maintain the cleanliness/security. Thanks, Regina!

I agree with the other five stars here -- this place really is excellent. Haley set up my storage about a month ago, and she was professional and friendly. She clearly runs a tight ship! I'd recommend the Aurora Public Storage to anyone looking to store for a reasonable fee in Seattle.
I was on the six floor and was locked in the elevator for a few minutes and could not exit, then finally two employees called the elevator and the door opened. We asked them for help and they just said they don’t know who we are and could not let us out. They didn’t enter the elevator and told us to go to the first floor. That’s fine, we went down to the first floor and I entered the password again and met them again on the second floor. They said the same thing that they don’t trust us and need us to go back and enter the code. Very rude. No apology or empathy after we told them we were locked in the elevator. This place is clean though.

This is a great location and Haley is very helpful and efficient. All the employees have been awesome.
Facility is huge, plenty of units, huge variety. Haley was such a huge help! My friend and I went in to the leasing office rather than booking one online and were so glad we did. Haley gave us a rundown on all of the fees, rules, how to get in/out of the facility and the safety measures taken! She even took us up to our potential unit and showed us different options and locations to choose from. Such a big help! Highly recommended the facility and working with her if you’re on the fence.

Months after move out I was told I owed overdue rent after regular payment and receiving $0 balance move out receipt. The issue was pushed between the location and corporate office, and neither were able to help resolve the issue. I do not recommend Public Storage's services due to their poor management and bookkeeping!
It's a huge facility. Only problem: they offered great deal for $19/month on a unit, so booked it. Only to discover it was a loft unit that requires step ladder every time something is stored or removed. Doesn't feel safe and hard for me with knee issues to climb up and down stairs with heavy boxes. Went to talk with customer service today but no one was at desk -- probably helping another customer-- will ask for better disclosure about challenging location of storage units and for a chance to change units bc of accessibility issues. Will report back on how that goes (easy or hard).

She showed me a couple of different sized units so I could get a better idea of the space. I scheduled a reservation for a 10'x10' unit, paid a lock fee, administration fee, and the $1 first month rent cost. To my surprise, I was assigned a unit that was already locked up with a yellow tag on it, meaning "delinquent tenant". They gave me somebody else's unit...
I tried asking for help from the front desk lady, and she claimed that she had no idea what this was and needed to call her manager to get it figured out. I was supposed to be swapped to another unit/location, but I was told to call corporate figure this out since she was 'too busy' helping other guests. Keep in mind that it's already 5:40PM and they close in twenty minutes.
I was constantly transferred over to different lines, with none of them being able to help my specific case. Finally, after reaching the refund team, they were able to file a request to refund my payments, but NOT including the $30 administration fee because it's "un-refundable".
The best part? My request was denied, and I was again transferred to multiple different lines to get my refund figured out. I was told multiple times that my administration fee is unable to be refunded, even though I was literally given an unusable unit.
Still waiting on this refund to happen. Can't believe I wasted my time with this company.
UPDATE: They refunded me $22.04 for the lock that I never even received in the first place! Still hoping that the other $45 magically comes into my pocket soon.

Customer service was great! The building is new and well taken care of. Regina, the manager, showed me a few different units and helped me choose the one that was best for me. I definitely suggest this place because it's quick, easy, and very accessable.
This is the newer of the facilities in the area and it’s great to be able to load/unload indoors especially in rainy Seattle. Regina who worked there was very courteous and informative about my options and definitely showed a lot of patience teaching me how to use the apps to unlock the units that don’t require storage keys. I would recommend this place to store your things. They also have hand carts that make moving so much more easy!

Using their website via Google ad promo’s, I reserved a unit for mid April (this review is about 10 weeks after the fact). The unit said “5’ X 5’ Small” to which I read as 5 feet wide and 5 feet tall. So, I secured said unit for the discounted rate offered.
My move in date ended up needing to be pushed back a day or two, so I felt it was best to contact them to update. When I connected with a woman there, they informed me my unit was a “locker”… this wouldn’t meet my needs nor expectations for the reservation I made. After reviewing other options they had, I was forced to cancel my reservation. She said the rental amount would be refunded but the $29 admin fee couldn’t be. I asked to speak with their manager and eventually did.
I wish I could remember his name, but he called me from what I believe to be his personal cell phone. Or work cell, either way, I appreciated his efforts. I explained what happened and how what I thought I reserved did not match what I actually did. He understood and said he would refund/waive the admin fee.
Fast forward to early June, I receive a letter from some random debt collection company stating they “took over” the debt I owed. Following their options to dispute, I eventually received in email from them stating they no longer were involved with the debt. Huh?
Let’s also stop and realize that Public Storage felt it necessary to send “my debt” to a collection agency after, at most, 70 days had passed. Their systems didn’t consider or realize I never utilized a storage unit. Nor step foot on their property. But oh boy, that admin fee is so delinquent it’s time a collection agency buys it for pennies on the dollar…
I decided to look in to Public Storage more and realized I still had an active “account” with them and a balance owed of $29! And was on “auto pay” with my debit card info saved. Yet they never processed said admin fee even though it was to be waived? To be potentially impacting my credit score over this is ridiculous and ignorant. If 0 stars was an option, that is what I would select.
Confusing advertising. Debt collectors contacting me over $29 that a “regional manager” told me was reversed. Total waste of time and inconsiderate. I’ve used PS before. Never again.
Get your CRM, workflows and SOP’s updated. There is zero excuse for this ti have happened.

It’s our first time moving a queen size mattress without movers. We had no idea how to tie the mattress on our car right. She helped us through out the whole time for almost 30 mins and make sure the mattress was tied steadily. Without her, we would just get stuck in a dilemma - can’t move or maybe drive when unaware of that causing danger. Really really appreciate Regina’s help!
On May 20th, I was helped by the most delightful women in the storage business. I lost the post it note that a hand their names on it but, I do remember the first letter of each of their names, R and L. I booked the wrong size unit and L quickly helped me find and transfer into a new size. The transition/ resign up was smooth and everything was resolved in 15 mins. Staff rude and would not honor reservation
After initially placing reservation online I received a follow up confirming my move in date. I said I wanted to get unit a few days early before my move date and was told that is not necessary. I'm glad I went with my instincts not to trust them and reserve a couple days early.
When I arrived older guy seemed confused and annoyed as I introduced myself and said my reservation time. I had made reservation a month prior for 9X15. He said they didn't have any 9X15 available. He then proceed say I could still have next closest size 10X15 at current rate which was 50% higher. I asked if they could honor the reservation price since he already admitted it is close to the same size and reservation fine print says approximate sizes and he said no. I called their customer support hotline and they also said they could do nothing to honor reservation price as said no unit available and instead blamed their website.

Update- My original review was posted about a month after I got my unit. I had given Public Storage a 4-star rating. At this time, I thought I had a great unit with a nice price. The monthly fee started at $95.
My current rate is now $210. It's awful and basically extortion. I think the biggest problem I have with the constant price increases is the fact this place has almost NO overhead. Theres only a handful of employees. They don't ship anything. They don't have fuel costs. No real real costs outside of paying for the huilding and electricity. Nothing. This is raising the price for the sake of corporate greed.
I'll definitely be moving my stuff out and back to uhaul. The costs didn't increase ONCE in the 2 years I had my stuff in a Uhaul storage unit.

I had doubts about storage facilities in the Seattle Area -- many do not offer weekend access or have limited hours. Not this place. It's open 7 days a week, open till late in the evening.
I came across Public Storage back in Jan. But no matter how good something looks online, it's always advisable to actually visit the site and meet the manager and staff before signing on. I was able to get to their address on Aurora Ave. It was close to my house. There is convenient and ample parking.
Lena, the store manager, made me feel comfortable right away. She followed the current protocols of mask-wearing, social distancing, and use of hand sanitizer, which is available to anyone in various areas of the building. Lena is on top of her game; she really knows her business, quickly quoting unit prices, making eye-to-eye contact, and going over the steps to secure a rental from A to Z. She took the time to give me a tour of the building.
Safety is always an issue, and I am glad that the facility has monitors and gated access throughout. I like that they can discount the unit if you provide your own insurance to cover property loss or damage. Their rentals are month-to-month; you are not locked into any long-term contract. There is even a public restroom in the facility.
I recommended the storage to my parents primarily because of the store manager, and they now store their stuff here as well. They could not have been happier with the service they received from the manager. Overall, you could not find a better place where the employees go above and beyond, making this rental storage facility a worthwhile experience for everybody. Thank you, Lena.

I’ve rented a half garage from this location for about 4 years now. I love it. It’s always very clean and there is almost always parking close to the elevators. My only complaint is how much they jacked the rent up on me last year. It was about $55/mo for three years, and then out of nowhere it went to $150/mo. I’m ok with rent hikes but you just have to be more gradual about it.

Buyer Beware! Access Hours and Locks are an Issue!!!
My experience with Public Storage Seattle 9701 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103 on August 31st 2022.
Access hours are not convenient as the are 6 AM to 6PM. The hours should be to at least 8PM at the least and preferably 10PM if not. 6AM to 6PM for the average person with an 8 - 5 job really doesn’t work. What It means more is you have my stuff hostage until I can access it on the weekends.
Secondly the lock situation at the 9701 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103. The website states that all units need to have a lock. Reading further it states that the location offers premium locks at a “small fee”. What it breezes over is that at some locations only take Public Storage’s “UHaul” proprietary cylinder lock. None of your padlocks will work on their system. The “small fee” of $25 dollars, “not small”, is required by them to rent your unit unless you can provide one of your own. This is a proprietary cylinder lock that only works on their doors, no one will have this lock unless they have been through this process before. The advertised rent was $35 for the first month add $25 required dollars for the proprietary lock makes the first month $60 plus tax and fees not $35.
This is not truthful advertising. Truth in advertising should read $60 for your first month and whatever dollars per month thereafter. Experiencing this felt like an illegal bait and switch scheme and really made me upset.
I have rented my fair share of storage units during my life and this is the first time I have encountered ridiculous hours of operation or a proprietary lock system scheme that makes you spend money on equipment you can’t use any other place than at the storage facility.
The Good:
1. Clean
2. Well lit
3. Airconditioned
4. Secure
5. Polite and Professional Staff
The Bad:
1. Proprietary Lock Scheme
2. Hours of Operation 6Am to 6PM
3. Elevators have a keypad system that times out too quickly.
4. Not enough carts “Only 6” available.
5. Restrooms needed keys “should have keypad and code”
6. Only one set of entrance and exit gates were operational. I had to three point turn a moving truck after trying to exit the facility.
I’m sure you can tell I am very disappointed and upset by all of this. If it weren’t for the hour of the day and having no other options, I would have chosen a different facility. I was able to finish the move with two minutes to spare. The whole experience left me feeling frustrated, cheated, and angry.
This is the best bang for your buck in the area. Easy access to carts, helpful staff, secure building. Like their texting and online functionality - the way renting a unit should be. I'll be using them again!

Update/tip: if you have renters or homeowners insurance that covers off site units, you don't need to purchase the orange door insurance! You also don't need to provide proof of it- just tell them you have it and you're all set!

Lena at the front desk/rental area was so helpful. It was my first time at this location helping a friend clear out their locker and Lena not only took time to help us switch to the new app but also she took the initiative to come up with us and ensure to replace the battery for the electronic lock as we hadn't visited the locker in a while, she suspected the battery may have needed replacement.
As we mentioned we were clearing the locker out she also outlined future instructions for us about what to do once we are finished.

Location -
there is a drive in garage entrance with about 15 parking spots for vehicles. The garage can also accommodate a few moving trucks and vans. Locker facility looked well maintained, elevators and storage units all seem to be well updated to electronic security.
Lena was super helpful every time I came by my unit, I really appreciate you Lena!! Will definitely consider using this facility again in the future. I’ve rented many storage units and this was the best for sure.

I just moved out, and didn’t have any friends or family to assist me at the storage unit. Lena was incredibly sweet and helpful! I managed to get everything taken care of much more simply than if she hadn’t been working there.
Also, I highly recommend buying vacuum sealing mattress space saver bag.

Place is horrible. Cant get in to unit after 6pm. Service is terrible. Dont order a unit online as they will give you a unit with an 8x8 pole in the middle. Signed up for auto bill pay and their system didnt register it. When you fill out their customer service survey and tell them about issues you get your rent increased.

Fantastic brand new and easily accessible. I just wish they had non office hours for access, other places have access from 6 a.m., as late as 9 p.m., the early morning access would really make getting in and out regularly a breeze

I like the indoor parking but getting a cart is a headache now.
At first the carts were just there to use. Then they locked them up and you had to go to the office to get a key, except sometimes nobody in the locked office so had to wait
Now the carts are supposed to be on each floor but they are not sometimes so need to search around or stand around and wait

Lena and Chester were the best customer service reps I've ever seen at a storage unit.
Beware of significant price increases that appear out of the blue. I was notified that the rent for my space was changing from $181 to $231---a 28% increase---from one month to the next (after just six months of being there). When I asked why, I was informed that the company "uses algorithms" and decides what it is going to charge you based on the market value of the space. They use the month-to-month agreement against you to allow them to rapidly increase the price once you're in and a great deal of effort has already been expended. This is a particularly despicable practice, because those renting space, who may or may not have a lot of time or extra resources, must move all of their belongings out within the following 30 days to avoid paying the significantly increased rate.
(Update: The friendly staff at the storage facility were able to get the rent increase postponed by 3 months to allow me a bit more time to complete the move-out. This appears to be one of those instances where hard working, well-meaning local staff are held hostage to cold corporate policies.)
I wish I could give 4 stars because I like the manager, Marie, so much!! My issues were with the building and Public Storage, as a company, and so much of that is out of the control of the staff. I had ongoing issues with the elevators and app / door locks.When I moved in, there was only one functioning elevator and it resulted in me renting a second unit on the ground floor for the sake of time. I ended up moving to another storage facility down in SeaTac, which has turned out to be a rat-infested dump.
The good: This storage facility is clean. I never felt unsafe here as a customer. There is covered parking and free carts to borrow (1 per household). There is an on-site restroom, even if you must go to the office and get a key or have them come unlock it for you. The people who work there are very nice and I learned some helpful self-defense techniques from Marie. Marie didn't hold it against me when trying to fix the app on my behalf caused her whole system to crash over a weekend. She is awesome! While I certainly pay less in SeaTac, I miss the convenience of this location, the cleanliness and safety. Staff do rounds and really keep an eye on things.
The not-so-great: Be aware that the shape of 5x10 units is narrow (it's not the same as a 10x5). It can be tricky to access items in the unit and take longer to pack/unpack. The elevators are unreliable and the app to unlock the doors can be, as well. There are restrooms, though they are locked due to local crime and the only available one is on the ground floor (it still requires a key from the front door). The hours of access are limited. As a company, Public Storage offers great introductory rates but then raises them (this is pretty common) so don't get too comfortable if you're on a tight budget. Ask questions. While the facility was new and clean when I was a customer, I did see people storing bulk amounts of food and water in their units. I know now, due to my experience at the place in SeaTac, that this attracts rodents. I hope management is keeping an eye on this and investing in preventative services.

I originally gave the place 5 stars when i checked in. Building and units are new… place is nice. However today my rating dropped to 3 stars. Mainly due to disappearing staff who locked up the office and left leaving customers waiting to return and get carts. Then when the employee returned they were rather rude about everything. Its a nice facility… too bad the staff is not as nice.

I was shocked at how secure this facility is. You have to have your access code to open the gate, and the office is inside the facility. The customer service was excellent ( I should have read all of the details from the text message I received from renting online...so user error.) It was super easy to get a cart because you have to check them out. I have been at facilities where the carts are MIA because folks leave them wherever. The storage is super clean and does not smell. My last storage unit had a wood floor and wood storage. There were fragrance items everywhere, which covered up the must., and my stuff smelled when I pulled it out. Anyway, this place is over the top secure, and super clean. Also, it is reasonable priced. I am very happy that I chose this place, and I highly recommend it.

The office called at 12pm because I missed my move-in this morning I lost tack of time packing. I told her I could make it at 12:30 so she put me down at 12:30pm. When I arrived at 12:29pm I saw an employee at the office so I parked my car in front of the office and tried the door but was already locked with a sign said they will be back at 1:30. I understand people take breaks and stuff and I would’ve appreciated a heads-up.
