** Updating my review ** I just spoke to Kathy, who was so nice and gave me another 3 months at my move in rate! So much easier to take a rent increase after 6 months and I appreciate her looking out for me! 😊 I posted a review 4 months ago on my move in day. My rate is already going up $27. Just be prepared - I thought I would at least get to go 1 year before a rate increase. Disappointing. 😒

Kathy lied big time and got us in the hole! She promised 3 months rent free at the end of December & then we got notification that we were behind at the end of January! February we were able unable to access our storage, we had to pay $450 on the 20th so that they didn’t auction our storage! Not only did she tell us that but she lied and said that she never said that. We spoke with the manager and they confirmed that they have audio & recorded calls, we advised that she went back to listen to the audio and she laughed and covered it up with “we don’t give free rent”. IF YOUR EMPLOYEE PROMISED THAT, then that’s on you not on the customer! SMH! This is the last time we’ll ever use public storage.

Kicked out after I paid for a full month. Just received the e-mail that says everything must be out in 2 days… A phone call would’ve been nice. Tried calling customer service, of course they didn’t have any information for me. They told me to contact the property manager, she’s never there, or never answers when I call. She’s also not very friendly & asked me to give her a 5 star review before I could even get a storage unit. Thought that was weird, & she physically wanted to see it on my phone…. I’ll try again in the morning and hopefully get some answers. I wouldn’t recommend renting from this location. She also manages another location in federal way.

just had the absolute best experience with storage staff in my life at the federal way location on pac hwy and 348th. bethany and kathy are amazing, very personable, friendly, and caring. would highly recommend this storage to anyone. cameras everywhere, you can get in the gate using a smartphone app on your phone, and they are in the process of going through security upgrades and putting in new rod iron fences to keep out the riff raff. pleasantly surprised after my last experience with public storage many many moons ago. bethany and kathy should be commended for their excellent customer service skills.

Was given wrong information over the phone by 3 different people. This is not a 24hr access location. I shared my situation and needed to access the unit early in the morning to make a flight. I couldn't get inside the gate, missed flight and had to reschedule. Manager was on location too but refused to help me. Luckily I was able to cancel my paid reservation through corporate because I never moved in.

Don’t believe all the fake reviews. Hands down the worst storage place I’ve ever used. They close the gate at 5pm on weekends and 6pm on weekdays and there’s absolutely no access after. I’ve used other public storages where they give u a warning if you were you there after hours and a fine if u do it again, which is ridiculous but at least you have access to your belongings 24/7 if need be. There workers here are awful and give zero exceptions to paying customers. I got there at 4:59pm on a Sunday with a full load that took 2h to load and a half hour to get there, but nope the gate was shut down, and to top it off the lady who works there (that I met and spoke to for a while the day before and knew I was a paying customer) was yelling at me from the other side of the gate “we’re closed, we close at 5”. Really Public Storage??? Never left a review in my life but had to on this one. Worst service period. A storage unit that you can’t access if you work normal work hours???? Huh???

Went to rent a unit at the Mildred location in tacoma. After making the reservation, I saw I wasn’t able to my online because I wanted to decline insurance. Went to the office and was unable to rent the unit because someone had vandalized one of the windows to the main office and they were waiting for the police to come. That’s when I decided to stop by the office in Federal Way and speak to Jeannie. She told me that she was able to rent me the unit at the tacoma location from her location in FederalWay. Jeannie went ahead and started the paperwork and completed the rental for the unit I wanted. Jeannie was very polite and very courteous and offered me many options on how to store my items and to keep them safe. Five star experience with Jeannie at the Federal Way store!!!
