RATS!!! The Area Manager refuses to call me! And, did I mention…RATS!!! Destroyed thousands of dollars worth of my property! What was salvageable had to be deep cleaned & sanitized!! But, no matter how many times I ask, the area manager can’t be bothered to call me.

RATS...EVERYWHERE!!! READ THROUGH THE FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS. TONS OF HOMELESS PEOPLE LIVE THERE. RATS DESTROYED MY STUFF.... THEY CHEWED THROUGH, POOPED ON, PEED ON EVERYTHING!!!!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!!!

Great location and property. Stacy has been the best facility manager I've had at any storage location. The property is kept clean and things are fixed quickly if broken. This is the first time I've stayed with a storage company for any length of time and will continue to do so.

Promise Stacey I would tell the truth and do a survey this month. Fair prices, prime location decent rates if you lock them in. Working elevator and decent tenants. Need help with your move there are people nearby or leads in time of need.

Absolutely love storing here. I have been here for quite some time now and Ms Stacy Always is there to help when we need her to. She is always smiling and always cleaning. Glad to store here. I was in the public storage on swiss ave. for less than a week and my property was stolen and their insurance company Sedgwick are acting like they don't want to deal with me on my property being stolen to this day.

I've had a good experience overall. I have had some hiccups but they were handling professional. Thing don't always go in the consumer way but it how a person deal with you with compassion that make a difference. This is a downtown area and it's near the train track, expected for them to patrol the area and expect the unexpected. Just know the facility units come extremely clean, there are tenants that come with critters but having insurance and peace of mind that your belongings are safe is key. Must have your gate code. Stacey is wonderful.

Clean & managed well I don't like the fact that they put their carts up before 10:00 so if you need a cart you can't get it p.m.

I absolutely enjoyed the customer service and the transparency of this storage unit. Stacy was very detailed about the rules and the rate of the unit. She even did a tour to show me how to get in and out of the unit. Stacy showed that she was really for the people when it comes to maintaining the cleanliness of the location! Also Tay was super patient with assisting me on my account/management, how I can stay up to date on my payments and really took her time to get everything set up for me. ILL NEVER RENT WITH PUBLIC STORAGE EVER AGAIN IN LIFE ITS NASTY!!!!! I don’t recommend because they will go up on your monthly rate which I don’t agree with it I don’t understand it! I will be getting everything out before this month is over! Then there’s rats I saw one running there’s rat droppings all over my stuff I will be contacting a lawyer if there’s damage to my 2500 couches that’s all I care about! I’m preying there’s no damage idk yet because I can’t pick them up due to me being almost 6 months pregnant

Please stop with the fake reviews. Yes, Stacy is very nice, but the RATS in this place are disgusting. They invaded my unit right when I moved my things in. They are not even scared when you open the unit door. They just leisurely waddle away. Also, a lot of homeless people live in these units because it is right in downtown. The building is full of giant holes and disrepair. This whole building building should be condemned. I'm surprised it passes any type of code inspection.

Need a great beautiful location 'view' area to store all your goods... Then come see Stacy at public storage, located right in the heart of deep ellum Dallas 'downtown' Swiss area why drive when you can save gas! Walk, catch a bus, train etc. to avoid any 'traffic. Rats and 30% price I crease with 30 day notice!

If I could give a 0 I would! RUN!!!!!! Far from the location they are the worst and give public storage a bad name! They are rat infested and disgusting! There is always a gate or door that doesn’t work very inconvenient. Front office never answers the phone. I don’t know how they have a 4.5 star status but those reviews must be family or paid for. Or maybe it’s the people that we suspect live there… pick a different location if you don’t want rats to tear your stuff up!

I want to commend Stacy, the manager at this location. She has gone above and beyond over the last couple of years that I have used the storage facilities at Swiss avenue where she is in charge. I really cannot say enough about her professionalism ,and her friendliness, and her willingness to make sure everything is right. Stacy personally make sure that everything at her location is clean and secure and proper, just to say the least. I currently keep multiple storage units across the county, and I have over the last 5 years. All I can say is Stacy is far and away the best management staff I've come across in any of the many other storage rentals that I've been involved with. I have had issues at other storage locations that have led me to take my business elsewhere but Stacy has always made sure her facility is perfect. She knows her stuff and she knows how to treat people.

I would give this place negative stars if I could. It is so rat infested a lot of things were destroyed. I had to wait up to 45 mins for an employee so we could use the cart. I called about the rats and got nothing back from them at all. I went through my unit 2 months before I cleaned it out and was not rat infested. It is so bad there is nesting and droppings all through the hallways. I wouldn't be so mad except a quilt that my Mom actually hand quilted on a loom no machine was completely destroyed.

The worst public storage I have ever seen. The place smell like mothballs…which means your stuff is going to smell just like that. They have a rodent issue. Some of my items have been shredded due to the rats and I found a lot of rat droppings in my storage area. Also there are huge holes in the ceiling that weren’t there before. They hike the prices up but your stuff is getting ruined by their rats.

This place is extremely disgusting! It’s infested to rats. We sent a complaint to the staff at this location at the beginning of the year; 10 months later the situation is not resolved and appears to be worse.

I’ll stored at quite a few storage facilities but this one on Swiss is hands down the best. Easy access and the staff is amazing. Stacy is always saying hello and is quick to answer any question our help out where she can. Highly recommended 5 stars all around.

The overly public storage… Considering using a downtown climate control public storage facility. Well there are many options they should not be one of them.. why are you might ask well even if you didn’t I’m gonna tell you. Let’s start by if you need to get the one cart this property has the soul cart for moving products all across this very large complex if you happen to find an attendant inside go buy a lottery ticket because this is a rare occurrence and you would think well why don’t you just call them and tell them to meet you at the office that’s because there’s no sign with the direct phone number posted that would be all too convenient perhaps this person’s at lunch well, then they must have three lunches throughout the day. Don’t forget you have to bring your drivers license or credit card in to reserve this one cart. No it wasn’t always this way. This is a recent change has for the last year that I had the storage facility. You did not have to reserve the carts by getting out personal information but it gets better at least on my last trip here office empty cart locked just out of reach inside the window. I made multiple trips past the little housing complexes that are the multiple rat population control devices, now I see their control devices because I’m pretty sure the city of Dallas has a soup kitchen for rats in this complex because this population will not be controlled. I’m pretty sure I saw one with a painted blue face yelling freedom as it ran away with a happy meal. You must be wondering why would it be a happy meal well adjacent to your storage unit should you choose this facility you will have to pass by the offices of the non-employed citizens of Dallas, who operate they’re not employed business out of storage units from 9 to 5 daily summer smoking offices summer not you can tell generally by the smell in the air But as I went to move my stuff but now smelled of smoke had been visited as if it was a restroom made for rodents I had a chance to ponder this review over the many trips back-and-forth that I had to carry each individual item from the other side of the complex to the loading dock not everything was bad I would say that 33.3% repeating of course.(some of you will get that) it was pretty good however, I would say that three months into my contract I notice my rent doubled and after playing the office lottery and finally getting a hold of someone they said they don’t know why my payments were always prepaid before the due date never had a late fee and I know you’re thinking sure…..he’s just saying that, but no, I really did it was auto pay. Downtown Dallas is not ground zero for human decay it just looks like it so if you want to have the feeling that your stuff is not safe, this would be the site for you. If you’re looking for an adventure or inspiration for your own novel, give it a try however, I am thankful I no longer have to visit or use these facilities.. thanks for reading my TED talk …. Oh, and as a caution or a warning, beware of the rolling doors for sometimes they just will start coming down like a guillotine, but they’re the only thing that separates you from the heat outside, which is hotter than Lucifer’s urine.

Stacy did a wonderful job assisting me with setup! Thank you so much! Updating review…seems after I purchased the storage space it was difficult to get anyone on the phone or in the office. I went by 4 times before I eventually canceled the storage online. She told me I could not look at the storage sizes in person and that I needed to estimate if my things would fit by looking at videos. Of course my things did not fit so I was searching for Stacy to discuss options. After I couldn’t get anyone I ended up going with a competitor. Sucks because Public Storage is right by my apartment. Now I am having to drive a little farther for storage.

Closed my account with no notice so when I showed up to put stuff in the unit with a moving company I was locked out with no solutions

Absolutely horrible experience. Discovered a rat infestation after only being in the unit for 5 months. So much stuff ruined. Tried to get in touch with the division manager, Emily, for over two weeks with no return call whatsoever. Staff was not helpful at all. Place is disgusting and I feel unsafe walking around in there. Go store your items somewhere that is cleaner, safer, with more helpful staff, and most importantly, no rats.

This place has rats the size of a small cat and has the nerve to go up on my rent by $100 (almost 40%). I’m moving my stuff ASAP! I’m not paying to house rats or for them to continue to eat my belongings. Fix your rat problem before you try to scam people out of more money.

I've had my unit for just over 2.5 years. I opened it today to empty it. All my apartment furnishings are RUINED from a rat infestation. Urine and feces soaked all clothes, upholstery, fabric, etc. Went to Target to get gloves/PPE to try to salvage personal effects but most will be a loss. 😭😭😭

PLEASE STAY AWAY ! please please please!!! My unit ended up severely infested with rodents there was literally piles of feces and urine everywhere. Boxes gnawed through. Thousands and thousands of dollars lost including new mattress, designer clothes, expensive furniture , couch etc . Extremely disappointed , I wish they would have at least been honest about them having a rodent issue. I’m beyond shocked and saddened. I had to put my things in storage on short notice because I was displaced during severe flooding in the area and my home having 4 ft of water inside and this was just insult to injury ! Recovering from a natural disaster only to find all the belongings I did manage to save to have been ruined by rodents due to poorly managed facility. Please please please avoid. I should have known better since this is right downtown near abandoned buildings and homeless encampments but my last minute desperation clouded my thinking. I wish they could at least reimburse me the 5 months I rented and cover the cost of moving items out. It’s the least they could do.

Spoke to the manager told her I would be there around 5pm to pay. I was stuck in traffic didn’t arrive there until 528pm. Manager already left for the day even though business hours is 930am-6pm

The process for renting a unit online was very easy and fast even with going in person. Stacy was super sweet and resourceful. Prices are definitely reasonable, despite my handy map from Stacy I did still get a little lost finding my unit, however the unit was clean and well prepared with a lock and information about insurance. Overall great experience, will recommend.

Recently this place threw away my mother's ashes and special items from my children and my S/O. Things I will never see again. If you decide to store anything significant to you please don't store it here.
