My experience was horrific. I moved in Public Storage in Memphis in 2023 and kept a regular check on my unit. It rained most days in May and my unit was invaded by rats and water has saturated my furniture and things i love like my dead mother things she left behind for me. The company met me with resistance, the property director Healther and was made to feel like oh well AND. I’m a nurse who caught through Covid and I’m disabled, I need bilateral k eye replacements and a hip replacement. I’m on a fixed income after having to fight for my social security. I don’t understand the lack of accountability and sympathy for your customers that have paid you faithfully though my daughter and had to sleep in our car sometimes because the state of Tennessee had no resources for a mother and her child until I could go to court for my SSDI. It’s been a hell of a right for my daughter and I to get back settled and to find ground and now this. The insurance company is now giving me grief to replace my things we are in an apartment with absolutely nothing but a mattress on floor and trying to get up without my medical equipment is horrendous. I’m letting you k no own to o read your contract thoroughly. They will k no it support you if your unit is destroyed in any way and the insurance company works right alone side them. Enter at your OWN risk!

I stored my 2001 Ford Mustang at the Public Storage located at 4500 Winchester Rd. I went to pick it up yesterday and found out my catalytic converter had been removed. I was warned that people be climbing over that gate . I don't know exactly when it happened because it has been there over 5 years. I did check on it a lot but did not see it until the tow truck picked it up . MAD!

For starters, Cosha has elite customer service skills. She was extremely helpful & thorough while explaining the unit size/reservation process. After examining the potential unit, I noticed the unit next door had water/flooding damage. Unfortunately, this veered me from purchasing a unit at THIS location. After voicing my concerns- Cosha assisted me with purchasing a unit at a better location. The units need some work but the staff was excellent!

I stopped at Public Storage to pay to have my lock cut and replaced. Ms.Chris told me the property manager was onsite but attending to units that were going up for Auction at the time and she would ask her to remove and replace my lock prior to her leaving the site. She then informed me if the property manager was able to cut my lock prior to closing she would call me and have me come and secure my storage. I thanked her and informed her I might not make it back today but I could come in the morning but I'd appreciate her phone call either way. When I was turning to leave,Ms.Chris saw that I was pregnant and asked when I was due. I laughed and told her tomorrow at 12 is what time my csection is scheduled I was coming to get the carseat but I can come back in the morning. Ms.Chris said "no you can't you need to be resting before going to the hospital..let me go talk to the property manager and I'll call you as soon as she cuts the lock.". I thanked her again and left. By the time I made it to the traffic light @ Winchester&Perkins..I was receiving a call from Ms.Chris informing me my lock had been cut and changed and I could come back and pick my keys up at anytime.. I went back to get my keys and was shocked to recieve curbside service..Ms. Chris brought my keys out to me and wished me good luck and congratulated me on my upcoming delivery. I was so very pleased and happy. This is beyond customer service this is human service which is rare. This location is lucky to have someone as thorough and empathetic as Ms.Chris..she didn't have to do any of the things she did to ensure I had one less thing to do in the morning and that I got what I needed..I appreciate her acts of kindness more than she knows. I truly want to thank her for going over and beyond.

I have been paying for this storage for ovef 10 years and went to check on my unit...everything is dry rotted...plus the customer service over the years is getting worst and worst. Kris at the front desk should be fired and Tasha should get a raise. I am NOT praying another cent to these people...I finally had enough...today marks my end with this public storage on Winchester...Good-bye and sell my belongings in Storage Wars...I am giving you notice today that I DO NOT want this storage unit any longer and all my property is being relinquished to you all and do as you see fit. Thank God this experience is finally over...take the remaining balance from the thousands of dollars I have spent over the years!! I understand that it's a public storage, but if you don't have bathrooms for your customers it's kind of ridiculous. I went to the storage to pick something up, and I had to use the restroom. So I asked if I could use the restroom and I was told that the restroom was locked and nobody could get into it. What kind of place locks a restroom? If you don't want people to use the restroom just say that! Glad I'm done doing business with this place.

The nasty person at the desk see us waiting for the door to open because it's not working even with the code and she tells us as she's leaving the office that she's off the clock. That she is not going to help us. Until we block her from exciting she finally decided to open the gate. Very rude person. She should not be working at this place if she can't help folks out

Had to get my things out, after five years the cost was going up again. It was cheaper to get a new unit somewhere else.
Cosha was great. Answered all my questions, laughed at my bad jokes and got me set up in no time. Clean office too. Good people.
This place does not even deserve one star… stored a vehicle and came back two weeks later parts were missing of the car… asked about the cameras and just so happens the area that was rented to me is not covered by the cameras which I think is a joke due to the fact only a couple of screens in the lobby had video streaming from the camera the other screens were black which indicates they are not working or turned off. I do not recommend!!
