Isn't too bad but the day time service sucks. Makes people wait out side in cold because he only wanted to help one person at a time but can't the rest of us wait inside where it's not freezing 🤦♂️😢

We rented from The public storage on 82nd and was treated terrible. It was the worst experience I have ever had! We was accused of being tailgated and our lease was terminated. When we tried to speak with a manager we was denied. We are very kind people and don't break rules. But in today's world I will not confront anyone if they force their way in behind me. I feel like that's the job of the property to have security or something in place. I left the unit clean and swept and was gone on the day I was asked. But I don't recommend public storage they are very rude and unprofessional. Money saver storage on 92nd and Johnson Creek. They are amazing and kind they have carts available for use and a free move in truck available for use.

Shawn at this location was amazing!! I’ve been having some personal issues and needed to change my gate code but was having a hard time getting there. When I was finally able to get to the location it was literally 10 min before closing. He made it a point to get the code changed for me and even waited after his shift was over to make sure I got it. This was the best customer service I’ve received from anywhere in a long time. I would definitely recommend this location if you need a unit. Five stars all the way!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I haven’t even had the unit 6 months and they increased my rate 30%! I called to ask if this is normal and they confirmed that it is. This is not sustainable at all. 30% increases every 6 months is insane. They do not want long term renters here. The facility is nice and it’s right by my house, but their business practices are shady. Do not rent here unless you’re only only using it for less than 6 months.
Been here almost 3 years with extra space storage then you guys took over just wanna give review to Raymond so professional hate seeing him leave over all you guys still have a great customer service there like the guys did when it was extra space storage
Terrible customer service. I gave publuc storage a notice of departure.letting public storage I would be out on the 1st of the month. And I was out on the first. I left the key and lock ( I didn't get my 50$ deposit). Instead of letting me know that I wasn't out on the 30th they would charge me 110$. Im a valued customer! you would think they would give a courtesy call to let me know to be out a day before. It's funny they sent me an email saying I was out on the 2nd (not true). I know one thing for certain and two things for sure they will never rip me off for a month of rent and I made every payment. Shawn the manager said he would get it waived but they couldn't pro rate but they can waive the fee. And it's a company policy. But of course the pro rate when someone comes in the middle of the month. You guys will say anything if it fit your narrative. I sent a complaint and still haven't heard anything back .
This was my first time renting a storage unit and Justice at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. He answered all my questions and made the process easy. I really appreciate how clean the facility is.

I went to restroom, came back and someone locked my storage space, a manager on duty. Now I have to wait a week or more for property manager to drill a hole and remove the lock..... I am amending my poor review ... I had an issue and I should not have shared it publicly so I am apologizing to management. My issue has been resolved and am satisfied. Management acted accordingly by protecting my belongings, so thank you!!

I’m sorry, but when the website states that 24 hour access is a possibility, you would think when a client calls and says they need 24 hour access just one night in order to get everything moved on time, and they won’t allow me one night, well that is poor customer service. I almost lost a lot of my belongings because they wouldn’t grant me a single night to unload

I am posting a one star for this location on 82nd. I have a storage unit at this facility prior of renting here. I have spoken to Stephen Duffy.. Stephen Duffy had insured me that this was a safe place prior a renting here. Stephen goes on how it's secured. They get cameras in the security is great here.. So I chose this spot everything was going fine until 1 day. I get here in my storage unit.
His drilled out and opened up. So I spoke to Stephen Duffy again about that death and he seen to have no worries about my unit as I lost $7000 and 1 night.. I asked to see the camera's footage he denied nor did he wanted to help to saw a situation just for my safety and other.. And all he could tell me right now is that it's obvious hands. He can't do nothing about it and I didn't sign a insurance plan. Well the day I signed the contract with them the next day they had left a message with me that I didn't sign insurance plan and that it was kind. Of mandatory for me to have it so I went backup to the office signed everything and he told me I was all good they didn't relate to. My that I didn't have insurance. I thought we had signed for the insurance.. If I was your I wouldn't choose this location just because of the death that's happened here.
There's transience that come here they live here and it's just not a safe place.. They will not help you in any way form or fashion not all. They can do is say you didn't sign this force not their fault.. One thing I have to say is that I pay almost $200 a month for the safety in the space here and I don't have either .
I have to say that the staff was 100% completely awesome they were super friendly the two people I spoke with and then another man took the time to send me a voicemail just making sure that everything was okay with the storage I actually haven't made it to my storage unit yet to check it out the key is left inside for me so I can't really say about the actual unit itself but pretty much all units are the same cement walls cement floors you know but about the customer service I think it was wonderful and they were very very friendly more friendly than any other storage place I've ever gone to I definitely would recommend them and the prices are also great

We stored a vehicle for 8 months. It was easy to get in and out and the communication with this location is excellent! Easy to speak with someone on the phone. After the car sitting for 8 months there were no issues of any damage or theft. It was well protected.
On site employee was great. Keeps the place clean, remembers your name. Feels like a small business.
Had a medium size 1st floor storage unit here for almost two years. The facility got better in this most recent year and I agree with other reviews currently for cleanliness, ease of access, and availability of carts. The side street where entrance is unfortunately does attract a lot of transitional activity that seems to come and go over time as sweeps are done.
I’d only recommend them for short term storage though, specifically due to the heavy rent increases. First rent increase came at ~3 months and was a 60% increase. Two more increases and at moveout I was to be paying over twice the original rate I started at. A quick check to their website at my moveout date showed my same size, ground level unit available for LESS than what I started out paying ~2 years ago. So, be aware.

I have rented from Extra Space Storage on a number of different occasions in the last several years. In all cases, through different locations, I got to work with Jeffrey. His customer service is unmatched not only in the storage unit business but just in general. Extra Space has a policy that increases the promotional rate after awhile—not to mention their rate being slightly higher than the competition. Even then, I still choose to rent from Extra Space because they employ folks like Jeffrey. If you care about your belongings, you should also care about who works at the place where they're stored. If it was not for the experience I've had with Jeffrey (and other Extra Space employees), I would absolutely take my business else where.

I am so happy with the knowledge she was able to provide me with and when I am ready I will definitely be back to rent with her.

Got this storage in 2021 because I had to move out of my apartment. I ended up moving states and wasn't able to come back until now (2023) the facility is clean and the staff are friendly and very kind. I was driving to Portland from out of state and the traffic was a nightmare (genuinely don't miss that 😂) Eric was so nice about the fact I had to keep moving the appointment to have lock drilled off later in the day. (I lost they keys during the inter-state move) and when I did get there he was prompt and courteous and even helped me close out my account.
The only reason this place is 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the lack of ac. It's entirely too hot under the hallway lights especially mid-day due to the combo of bright lights, big pane windows, and metal walls. Other than that this place was great if a little pricey and it will definitely do in an emergency.
No complaints. I stored there for over a year and never had any issues.

After 3 months of storing at this location my bill went up $100. Been told by multiple people they tend to do that. Didn't receive a notice in the mail 30 days prior.
After having a storage unit for 4 months, they raised the price $70 per month without any notice. Very professional.
I will never rent a unit from these guys ever again. I have been charged for 2 units because of their own employee told me the wrong information. when i clearly asked if I needed to do anything else on my end he said no but now turns out he gave me the wrong info . so because i didn't leave the lock off the unit even though i asked beforehand i am being charged 111 bucks.

Helpful staff but inconsistent hours of availability to my actual storage unit. It's advertised as 6am - 10pm but the gate is usually locked till @9:30am. Wish they would update the hours accordingly.

The staff at this location have been very friendly, helpful, and professional. I also appreciate how they look out for the community and other businesses that surround them. The prices were very affordable, unfortunately rent doubled for the unit I was renting after four months. It turned out I only needed for just for a brief time. My hope is management and corporate work with tenants if they are unable to afford such large increases.
This place has a very bad problem with theft. My unit was broken into and about half the stuff in it was stolen. I would not recommend this place to anyone! I know I'm not the only one! After all the thefts they have had they still don't have security. Find a different storage unit. Your stuff is not safe here!
The facility is beautiful and feels safe for my possessions, and I feel safe bringing things in and out of my unit alone. I am a woman alone and therefore in more danger from predators than a man or a group of people.
The online rental process is simple and you really never need to see the staff since a cylinder lock and keys will be found right inside the unit for you to use after using your code to get in the gate, large roller carts free for your use are in an area that also needs a code to access and lastly yet another code must be used to get the elevator to open. I couldn't have asked for a better storage solution!

I have used the Milwaukie site on Johnson Creek and I'm currently with their 82nd store. Management and employees are amazing. It's rare that you find an entire staff courteous, friendly and going above and beyond. Both of these places having incredible staff.
Was impressed with the process to rent a unit 100% digitally. Was EXTREMELY impressed when I went to close my account and the representative found a way to get me refunded for the payment that had just processed and closed my account in a matter of minutes.

We're currently in the process of moving to a different storage unit because the guy who runs the place seems to have called the cops on my fiancee for charging her phone outside the place for too long,
I used their services for about 8 months. Never had any issues. Move in and move out were pretty seamless. It was a good experience for someone who never thought they'd need to rent a storage unit!
I had purchased a unit and my code didn’t work for the first 40 minutes I was there I then got it working and it seemed fine however 10 minutes later it once again stopped working,”. I had to go back and re activate the code again and it worked until I returned the next day to drop off more stuff and my code once again wasn’t working the office was closed so I had no way to fix it once again

I have been a long time customer with Extra Space Storage and I am extremely happy with their service. Now that I needed to move my stuff into a bigger unit Cody went above and beyond to help me find the right size. The frost desk staff was very helpful and assisted me in procuring a storage unit that would suit my needs that day. They weren't even from that specific storage facility. That just tells me that specific individual cared about their job. I loathe that Extra Space takes up valuable resources for other places of living or even blank space, but needing storage for just one month, I guess I went with the devil I knew.
So amazing! I was able to set up my reservation painlessly online, the gate hours go to 10pm so I can access the unit even after work, the contract is month to month, and my unit (I got a 5x5,) was super reasonably priced and easy to find! The unit was clean and I felt comfortable leaving my furniture in there. I will NEVER go back to Public Storage after my experience with Extra Space!

Big place. The Saturday worker tried to take a break before letting us turn in our keys. We were moving out it's a 30 second transaction.
I was really impressed with how well manicured the grounds are here at Extra Space Storage, Cody has done a great job and it shows.
My house is very small (<800 sq ft), and I seem to move things from the shed to the attic - but have too much stuff to really get it organized. Extra Space Storage came in really handy for a few years to help keep a few larger items that were taking up too much space when I didn't need them (e.g. portable air conditioner, etc.). Never had any problems with access, and it was always well lit and clean.

I've been using this place for almost three years and they are reliable and honest.
My bill started at $112 and two years later it had gotten up to $130 when I stopped by the office to get an update on the security codes I mentioned my rate increase and the man working at the time immediately went into the computer and figured out a way to reduce my bill.

Cody is great to work with! The facility is clean and well-managed. I feel very confident that my vehicle is in safe hands. I highly recommend using this location for your storage needs.
I'll start and say that the staff is communicative and helpful. However, my campervan was parked there for 1 week and was broken in to, along with other vehicles stored there, rummaged threw and had many items stolen. This facility is not set up or secure for vehicle storage. The gate to the vehicle parking area is on the opposite side of the office, so they rely solely on camera footage and walk arounds. The fence around the parking is 6' tall, which is very easy to climb over undetected. And there is a manual exit door that does not require a code to leave, so once thieves were in, they could take whatever they wanted and freely exit and or open the door to let other thieves in. I would not store your vehicle here until they have upgraded their fence/gate/security.
Extra space storage was clean and seemed nice at first but has quickly gone to extremely dirty and extremely unsecure. They have a huge problem at extra space storage off 82nd and crystal springs Blvd with the homeless population across the street and a lot of trash outside of the location. They have cleaned this up now 3 times since I've been here but it always seems to return. At extra space storage they don't seem to do anything to help secure this location while entering. I've been asked more times than I can count if I have money or cigarettes while in my car waiting to enter my secure code. I'm a single woman and sometimes come after dark and it's more than a little concerning and scary to feel that way when I'm paying so much for this storage at extra space storage. Not to mention they have uped my rent 2 times since I've been here. I really would like it if they would clean the floors maybe once a month. They are really gross and the elevators smell disgusting. Also at extra space storage the carts seem to keep disappearing. They have a big theft problem here and I would not recommend storing your stuff here if u want to keep your belongings. I've talked to many other ppl here at extra space who have gotten their units or stuff parked securely in the lot stollen and they say extra space storage does nothing to help them find who did it. This is my last month here. I'm moving my stuff to a different storage company . My advice is to Shop around because there are other companies that offer good secure units at a good price and have way better reviews that are actually legit.
I've been there for a year and a half now and the place is always an excellent condition safe sound courteous employees highly recommended

Mybunit was broken into 2 different times. Then they raised the rent by over 30% I moved to a new location and paying less for a bigger unit with security cameras in every hall not just the entryway.
Thefts and increasing costs - stay away

So with procrastination being my first language i registered for a parking spot here over the phone the day before, let me tell you when they called me and said I was the FIRST one they called for the ONLY spot available I was more than happy especially since that spot had been bought out but not used prior to for several months and as of the week before to be available. The staff absolutely amazing! Thanks for making this a lucky day!
I have been with this storage company for over a yr. I have never had issues with my rental unit and when I came across times it was difficult to pay I was given many great options/solutions that would help me pay my bill in time before losing my belongings.
Even though my favorite ladies are no longer there,with extra space I will say I experienced excellent customer service and a welcoming friendly atmosphere!

I rent a 9'×20' unit in the Extra Space Storage off of 82nd and Johnson Creek in Portland. A man by the name of Cody is the new manager at this location (for about a week now). He is by far, one of the nicest, most professional and hard working managers I have ever come across in the storage unit industry. He talks to everyone and treats everyone he comes in contact with, like they are the most important person in his life. Even the customers who are rude, and short with him when they first meet him, he treats the same. He is constantly busy, and cleaning up anything he sees out of order. I swear he must polish these cement floors in the hallways like 3 times a week. He starts everyday out the same way he ends everyday, which is by walking the entire property and picking up anything out of place and sweeping the floors. While he does that, he takes time to greet everyone he comes across and he asks them how they are doing. He genuinely cares about people and he takes care of customers. I cant say enough good things about him. I really hope Extra Space Storage pays him what he is so clearly worth so that he stays working here at the complex I rent at. In just under a week of being here, he has turned this place completely around. Thanks Cody for looking out for me and my things!
