The man in the office in the afternoon has awful people skills and has come out of the office to watch us load and unload our truck every time we have been here during our recent move. He is frequently not available in the office because of this.
Access hours for this location are ridiculous as well, with gate access ending at 5pm.
The 10x10 hallway room they rented to us was fairly cheap, but it also smelled mildewy and had terrible lighting. I don't know if we might have just been unlucky, with a unit that was needing maintenance or something, but
Because of the repeated issues with the very undiplomatic man in the office?
I personally wouldn't recommend this storage location. Especially not to anyone who needs or wants to visit their storage unit with *any* level of frequency, or who only needs the unit for a few months while they relocate their home or small business.
Kelly is a good guy
And I have never had any problems with the facilities
However, the rent increases. Can become concerning
Although they have been receptive to my requests for skipping the increase for months at a time.
This will definitely have a priority when I am choosing whether or not to stay or find someone else to offer me a better and more consistent value for my money
I will also include that security is some of the best available in the area with often management being on site 24 seven
Kelly and all the employees have always been helpful and definitely deserve five star

We were at public storage unloading a 26' uhaul. It was 98 degrees. We are in our mid sixties, with health issues. Our helpers didn't show up. Justin came by & introduced himself. He came by frequently to check up on us, making sure we had water, & that we were drinking enough, & taking breaks. I thought that was excellent customer service. Above & beyond.
Kelly, the manager, also introduced himself. He helped my wife figure out stuff with the app when it wasn't working right. Thank you, Kelly. They both earned 5 stars. Wish I could give more.
This is a review ONLY for staff. Kelly, the onsite manager is amazing. He’s been helpful trying to figure out the app issues. When he couldn’t get it, he gave me the help center line, which is impossible to find in the app.He’s also always very kind, saying hi whenever he sees us.
I’ve also dealt with Justin. My husband & I had all our helpers bail. We are 64 & 63, & it was 95 degrees. We had a 26 foot U-Haul. Justin kept coming down to check on us. Making sure we rested, had plenty of water, and that we were actually DRINKING the water. He was very kind.
Overpriced and run down, next to zero security features. Go pay the same for an indoor coded access storage unit.

The customer service here was above and beyond excellent. The online ordering of a unit went smooth, and they were very quick to respond o any of my calls. The gentleman even loaned me a lock when I told them that I had a lock to use but couldn't find it at the moment. When I started moving stuff into the unit, I realized that the lady had left a lock in the unit for me, which I returned immediately to the gentleman and worked hard to find my lock quickly. When I found the lock, I switched them out and returned theirs. Now, what kind of storage unit does that kind of nice thing? Most would just tell you, "Oh well, sounds like a personal problem" and make you buy one. People who are willing to trust deserve my respect and make me work harder to keep theirs.

Kelly, the manager of the facility, was very professional and had a great customer service attitude. He made the process of renting a unit very clear and easy. Just closed out our account with this Public Storage. Stored the company truck here for about one year. The few times someone left garbage, it was picked up promptly. Something damaged was generally repaired quickly. And the Staff was always polite and professional. They would help, assist and direct you as best they could.
Professional and clear, everyone was a pleasure to deal with.
I was very happy with my experience today at the public storage. Kelly helped me figure out how to get the code from the person renting the space, ( who is back in Maryland). Then, he helped me get into the space & vacate it.
I was having a hard time backing a trailer, so he let me go through the gate & straight around. Very nice experience! Thank you very much!

Kelly,the location manager, was fantastic.I made a mess of trying to do a new unit when all I needed to do was make a transfer. Kelly was understanding and calm and worked throught the removal of my mess and setting up the transfer without any additional costs to me. He was willing to stay late, as I did the transfer right near clossing (another challenge from me). Again, Kelly saved me time, money and met all my crazy needs! Thanks Kelly

I had an issue with my personal car, dying while in the parking spot that I rent. I called several tow companies, even had one come out. They refused to come inside the gate to get my car.
Kelly stepped up, and offered his contacts to get me taken care of.

Update: public storage wouldn't return my money even though I returned my unit unused the next day 🤬 this lady on the phone said "just because you changed your mind" bruh, I was bamboozled.

The unit I rented was advertised as 10x10. I rented a trailer and towed my stuff over 1000 miles, to find a unit that is 9x9 and all my stuff will not fit. All their advertised 10x10 are actually much closer to 9x9. 9.2x9.3 Literally.
Big waste of time, money and effort. wont rent from public storage again....and I am a long time customer.

Have been at this space for 1 year and have had the payments increase 3 times already went from 130-193-250. With no notice on the last increase. They have confused my unit with another unit (that was next to mine) cut off my auto pay an said my unit was emptied. Ran down to the building the next morning and turns out it wasn't my unit but my account was charged from a fee the unit next to me (that moved out) didn't pay for. The employees are kind but that doesn't make up for the mistakes. As well as the rapid increase every few months is ridiculous.
I have used storage units in the area But this by far was the best experience Mr Smith was more then accommodating And the 24 hour access was a plus. Secure clean and well worth the price. Highly recomend this place

There is no way any positive reviews here are real. They upped the price of my unit twice now, once with a two week warning and now with no warning. Shady company. Put your stuff literally anywhere else.

Used to be amazing customer service and just walk around great place but now customer service it terrible and the employees probably should be sober while on duty and definitely shouldn't leave locking ppl inside the gate and refusing to give them gate codes but maybe that's just me

I highly recommend you choosing any of the numerous storage facilities on McLoughlin. Unless you want to deal with terrible customer service and you items being damaged. Only had the unit for a few months but have had debris and water sprayed into my unit on several occasions. Been in touch with the Regional, she is no help either, I will never rent anything from Public Storage.
After complaining about the issue, I just got a notice that my rate is going up from $94 to $128 a month. I will be moving my stuff out this month to the Uhaul down the street, used them in the past with no issues.
Wish there was a rating lowering than 1 star cause they don't deserve that. Please see photos below and yes this is the inside of the unit.....

Neva was great handling my check in and a small issue i had.
Kelly gets FIVE stars while the facility itself gets about a 2 today. I got the warning that keys and locks would be replaced on my unit and I would have my keys sent to me, but they never were; and when I went to the facility to get the keys from the front office the office was locked with no one inside -- during the posted business hours. The sign even said "We're Open!" Whoever was supposed to man the office didn't -- and it's only by chance that Kelly showed up even though he wasn't supposed to be on duty, and he unlocked the office and got my keys. I was grateful to Kelly for taking that extra step after driving 30 miles to get to my unit to take some stuff out. I would've had to drive 30 miles back empty-handed had he not served me even though he was not on shift and didn't have to.
As for the facility itself: If you're gonna promise replacement keys sent in the mail you've got to mail them -- which you had about a month to do since the email notice was sent out. And if you're going to post "6:00 am - 6:30 pm" for operating hours, then somebody should be there and the doors to the office not locked; either that or post hours that accommodate any absence by staff during the day. Kelly's deference (-) the fail for not sending me my keys or having the office open = an overall 4.0.
