I have dealt with this facility two different times now. Between the two times I have been here. I have only dealt with two people, Jennifer and Christine.. The two of them have been great. I do know with my experience here I had seen one person a little irritated with Christine however, I was there to see what happened. Christine goes above and beyond to make sure that every client is dealt with this particular incident somebody was just being impatient, and because Christine wasn’t right there, they got upset . I would rather deal with someone that treats me like more than a number so my hat goes off to both Christina and Jennifer for the Customer Service that they have shown they can provide and did provide.
Jennifer remained professIonal and at ease on a busy day! Breeze of a process.

Latch lock does not work. I have to get someone in the office to throw the latch and it take hem 15 min to get it to work. I am down 5 days of getting into my locker. They said they would put in a work order but that would take 3-4 days to get it fixed. The weather is getting colder and I am soon goi N to be unable to straighten out my locker before it does

I am not real happy, I was offered the first month for 1, 2 weeks later they tell me If I don't' make a payment i will be getting fees assessed, I called and the manager told me it was prorated, no a month for 1 is a month for 1 dollar, I will be moving my things out of there before the next month is due, all's she kept telling me was call customer service to explain it no madam, you're the manager you checked me in you should know and fix the issue. That is false advertising. I did not get my month free. Don't rent here this is shady practice.

I have nothing but positive experiences with my storage unit at public storage. In reality it's just a extra room to keep your valuables that you are not ready to part with or think you will use later. However this does not hold true at this particular location for one reason, Christi. This woman is amazing in every sense of the word. Knowledgeable, personable, professional, helpful. She is willing to go the extra mile to insure your experience with Public Storage is always positive. She give me confidence in the company. Without her those storage units are just a place to throw your junk, with her it's a place I'm proud to keep my valuables safe and protected. Whatever she is being paid it is not nearly equal to her value she provides to Public Storage. I tried to hire her away to work for me but she is just to loyal of a person. Double her salary she's worth it.

This was great AT FIRST. But as I was reminded by a very rude customer service agent, you’re on a month to month lease and your rates are subject to increases! And they do! MY RATES HAVE DOUBLED IN ONE YEARS TIME!!!! Do NOT use this company! They’re thieves
Same Ole Bull Crap just a different day with these people, Unit's always getting broken into! Always over charging! Always raising the rent without notice! Always Saying your LATE when you're NOT! Trying to charge you for June's Rent when it's only March! Got everything out of Unit before 7th of March 2024, but they're still trying to say I owe $589.20 for March and June, and today's date is May 11th LOL CRAZY

She is delightful and I look forward to working with her and seeing her when I'm on property packing or unpacking. Christie is a good team member from my experience with her while renting a unit. She stated that if she could do anything to make my experience renting at public storage to let her know.

My uncle has some things in storage I was called to add him as a user so he could get in I get there and Aaron a black gentleman started screaming at me. He did not even let me speak. Threatened to throw my things out and said that he refunded my money and now it looks like I didn't pay my locker. He states that there is no owner or a manager above him. Do not use this facility it is horrible
Yesterday (10/25/2023) I went to the location on 31st to inquire about a storage unit. The manager Christi was very knowledgeable about the multiple sizes of units as well as proficient with the contract and payment options. I feel a sense of relief knowing that my family heirlooms will be safe under her watchful eyes. Her presence at alone gives me confidence in Public Storage as a whole. Her laugh is infectious. Public Storage storage is lucky to have such and amazing and respectful employee. I never thought I would would write a review, much less a storage unit.
Christi go's far and beyond to help her customers, always friendly with a smile on her face. At times going out of her way to help even on her lunch break. Saving me the frustration of having to relocate my storage christi got to the bottom of it and helped me stay in current location.

I've had multiple attempts of break-in and one successful break-in with 30 plus other unit's as well as mine! Very poor security no cameras except at front gate, can't wait to get my stuff that didn't get stolen out of there..

The place has multiple breakins all the time the property is full of trash and the property manager is rude , and if you rent a space. Don't expect to have any power in your unit , and if there's trash any were near your unit because of somebody else's laziness you might get a 280 dollar charge on your account and then they evicted mee after paying a 500 dollar bill to them , and the district manager isnt any better because he's the one who calls the shots and if you message him he will not respond to you I don't recommend renting a space there
I have rented with public storage for 2 years and today go by there to access my storage and it's 5 o'clock PM and I cannot get into the building where my storage is. There's a message that references after hours access so I called it and was advised that many storage units are now not accessible after 5 PM on the weekends and 6 PM during the weekdays . I cannot believe that public storage would change their access hours without alerting their customers and expect us to be OK with not being able to get into our storage units except during office hours
Moved my friends belongings here, for their move to Noland Rd home. Liked their long storage locker, and put stuff along each side, and you could still drive a small car through, as it has doors at each end. Nice woman up front got them checked in.
Ms. Christi Management at 31st street location was kind, pleasant, and very professional renting myself a unit, I'll say your facility in Independence has one of the courteous staff I've been fortunate to have met.

Initially was getting annoyed spent over a hour trying to get a storage and get someone to help but after I met the nice lady working there and she helped get us set up it was fine!
we go out there there is absolutely not a camera one on that whole place and it says on the front door, under 24-hour surveillance a lie
Ktherine was very helpful, she noticed that the original storage that I was supposed to be moving into was slightly damaged maintenance. Hadn’t fixed it yet , so she moved me into a new one. When I was filling out my information I realized I forgot my wallet, and she paid my fee for me.

I rented two separate units this month at this facility. The rental agent (Christi) was very very helpful and professional. The office has all of your moving needs for sale at a reasonable price as well.

Please DO NOT use this storage facility…..they are NOT willing to upgrade security and my work truck has been broken into over 5 times. This is the WORST company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. If ANYONE sees this please take it into consideration
I currently have a storage unit here. I trusted this location with my things and made sure to get a climate control in good faith my belongings of my entire home would be safe. I recently went to my unit to clear some items out and noticed everything that was metal had rusted, there was mold all over my furniture. They told me to file a claim which I have done. I had 2 managers tell me and my husband that the bathroom near our unit had a pipe bust and overflow. They said after witnessing the storage unit that they would note my account for moisture but did not do so! The adjuster working my account is saying there is no proof of water damage (although numerous pics show rust) and is calling it fungus damage and will only pay for $250 with a $100 deductible! Cornelius the week day manager is absolutely rude! And no hell at all! He told me that the other managers from the weekend were not rt and the told me that he did not have to tell me anything that happened in the restrooms that they are not responsible for anything and that’s why I have insurance. I asked him for a conference call with his supervisor and he said no, that was not allowed. Then asked him to have his supervisor call me and he then said no you need to call him yourself!! I also asked if he spoke to the agent and he said he had and that he didn’t see any water damage in my unit. He has never even been there to see my unit which is why I had spoke to 2 other managers. I’m so very very upset about this! And highly disappointed! I have thousands of $ of stuff in there including sentimental items from my grandparents that have passed. This has been the worst company I have ever delt with!!!
if you put your stuff here, you WILL have your stuff stolen. period. They only have 1 security camera. The thieves came through the roof and took almost everything including a deep freezer and all the electronics.
I chose to use this storage place because the lady that works there (Gina ) is awesome , she takes pride in her job , she makes sure everything is clean safe and secure , we appreciate her workking so hard at keeping our stuff safe ! Thank you gina
When I first opened my account here, I was paying $34. Over the course of about 3-4 years, they’d upped it to $57. Not particularly complaining about the price, though the $27 increase over the years IS at a little ridiculous when you go to get on your app and suddenly your account doesn’t exist anymore. All of login credentials, wrong. My email, doesn’t exist. Phone number, doesn’t exist. I found my original paper that I received when first opened my unit, tracked down my account number through last months “thank you for your payment” email (on June 5th) and decide to “create” a new account. Maybe some updates happened, who knows, I gave it the benefit of the doubt for a moment. Until I realized that no, they canceled my unit, no communication whatsoever, my stuffs still in there (nothing in there would have caused it to be canceled if searched for any reason). Regardless of anything, I should have been called, emailed or notified somehow, someway. This place is completely not worth the money for all of the complications I’ve dealt with and now THIS. What the heck.

I rented my unit from the wrong location and had just kinda given up when she contacted me to help figure out how to rectify a mistake that I made. People don't provide this level of customer service anymore, a few businesses could learn a thing or to from Katherine over at Public Storage.

While I was loading my stuff my brother rented a unit from this location, upon looking closer we noticed there's hardly no security, just a single camera watching cars pull in and out the gate, from the offices window (so it can't see much other than make it model the cars coming and going), a few times I was there only saw one person out on the property, a month after moving my stuff into the locker, half my belongings were taken out of the locker all my boxes where gone through, bags containing things were dumped out, clearly they were looking for something, and they found as I said half of my belongings were taken the door or lock wasn't damaged we immediately informed the manager but told us we'd have to supply serial numbers, receipts and pictures of the items I have rented from other Public storages and never had a problem like this, to the manager of this location, up your security, it seems like your doing the care minimum, and more should be done to match other Public storages in the area, I suggest anyone considering renting from this unit go to the one off noland, or the outer road along 291, but that's just me
