The people and environment at Public Storage are nothing but inviting and welcoming! The employees are extremely courteous and helpful. The entire place is emaculatly clean-everything up to and in living the restroom. There is more than enough parking where-if needed-the staff will keep an eye on your running vehicle for you cuz-due to mechanical issues-you can't shut it off! They will welcome you, service you, and conversate about anything with you. I would on any given day highly recommend them!!!

Always friendly staff, clean storage environment and great prices! UPDATE; I am officially changing my review to a 1. And, will be moving out of my unit as soon as we secure other storage. Since we (my husband and myself) opened an account and has had multiple units with this particular property, we THOUGHT we could trust them. Not only do they raise unit rent. (Seemingly every 6mos to a year.) But, come to find out that the premises isn't as secure as we thought! Needless to say, our unit was broken into and numerous items were taken. Including small insignificant things my late parents left me. We reported it to the person at the desk and was promptly given a name of the person whom allegedly did it. When asked about camera footage? We were told that, "Oh, the cameras were down. But, we got a good picture of the person!" And was promptly given a name yet again. Then, we were handed an insurance form, police report number for the wrong police department (which we found out the department with out own detective work), and was told to contact the insurance company. If you have no other options, do yourself a favor and get a unit with a ceiling in it. And, get multiple locks if you can. And, be ready to shell out more and more money the longer you have a unit there.

I would never recommend ANYONE to use this company. Our property was invaded by rodents. The rodents damaged some property and we had droppings in out clothes and shoes. They offered a measly amount of compensation. Prior to that public storage bought the facility without notice from the company that was the owner when we originally started our storage contract. WE HAVE NEVER WANTED TO DO BUISNESS WITH PUBLIC STORAGE. In the past our storage unit was broken into and we were not compensated then either. We believe the theft was an inside job. Stay away!

bought a new lock and went to get my stuff and the key never fit. I was accused of losing the key even though he put the key on my key chain cuz I pay for my nails. Funny thing is that the key fit into the locks around it but mine. He's on some shady stuff. Just because my son went to prison doesn't mean that his stuff isn't important to his family. His child's things, his tools are important to us. Question how do I know nothing wasn't already taken out of his locker?

If I could give 0 stars I would. I purchased a storage unit over the phone because no one was actually at the location when my parent went to rent the unit for me. They gave me a unit on the second floor that was not easy accessible, due to me being pregnant and having to move my entire apartment here until my other one is ready. The walk was so long there was no way I could get all of my things to the unit. I called and asked if they had a different unit I was told yes but they wasn’t sure where it is located and if it would be more convenient. I asked for a refund and was told no because I should have cancelled within 24 hours, which I was never told by the way. I bought the unit on the 5th couldn’t view until the 7th and they wouldn’t make an exception. The seal on the door was never broken and they just got a free 51 dollars from me. I WILL NEVER use this storage facility. Horrible experience and horrible customer service.

Very reasonable pricing for storage.. at least for my smaller unit. Plus 1$ for the first month is an amazing deal! Staff at this location is very friendly and helpful as well. Clean facility too!

I was just helping a friend move his stuff in there and since the tweekers all camp nearby we didn't feel safe leaving the hatch open or even entering the building without having to keep looking behind us. The right side entrance as you're looking at the building, a pane of glass was shattered, by the squatters and tweekers. They keep the carts to help you move your heavier stuff or to just use so you can take in a lot at a time we're locked up, because of the recent events of the squatters and tweekers nearby. So it was very inconvenient to have to bring everything in one by one. Plus the storage closes at 9:00 pm sharp, so if you have to do any moving after you get off work, you have a limited window in which to do so. I wouldn't recommend this headache at all, ever.

Cube smart storage got 5 stars from me. Since Public storage took over it’s been horrible. I get an email stating my unit wasn’t secured and I need to go and check as the facility can’t touch the lock. Well that was incorrect! Several units were broken into and mine was included. This isn’t their first break in as the desk personnel told me! It’s inside and secure and I have never had a storage broken into. It must be an inside job as someone has to let them in and the guy said they can’t look at all the security cameras due to so many to go through. Although, it happened the night before so that’s not too much footage to look at. And they aren’t filing a police report. My lock was a brinks and looks to me like it was sawed off. I will get my stuff out of there and cancel my storage. This is horrible service and I don’t believe the story.

Five stars! The store manager, Harmony, was helpful, insightful, precise, and showed a level of professionalism and care that keeps me at ease knowing my stored items are in capable hands.

Katherine was great and friendly

I have been storing my extra furniture and keepsakes at this location for over three years and I am very pleased with this facility. Love the management team here! Customer service is first and foremost and they always go above and beyond. I would like to say thank you to Katherine and Bill for helping me out this weekend after I misplaced the key to my unit. Got everything moved out today, 8/16/22. When I return to KC all of my extras will go right back into storage at HWY 40 Public Storage because the staff at this location is very helpful and caring. Not to mention, the facility is safe, spotless, well lit, climate controlled and very reasonably priced. Thank you again!

Zero dock height areas which are ideal for moving trucks. Nobody is ever available to assist with better access to the facility. Instead of unloading your items and walking maybe 50 or 75 feet, you're often forced to instead carry your items 375 yards to your unit. It's ridiculous.

I have absolutely NO idea how this place has good reviews. The beginning of the year someone broke into our unit and stole our expensive tv and Our things were picked through. But only noticed that the tv was gone. But today we went up there to put things in the unit and literally EVERY SINGLE THING we own is gone. Our unit was up to date. No reason why everything is gone. Not even a piece of paper was left behind. Even the glass from the first time it was broken into was swept up. Apparently no footage for this incident AGAIN. The only photos I had of my dad are gone. I don’t know why this happened. It’s like they just let people walk around just to steal whatever they can find. Please for the love of god if you value anything that you own PLEASE do not take it here. My heart is broken. I can’t replace any of the things stolen from my boyfriend and I. -Rebecca

For some reason they can’t figure out how to get my gate access code to work.I was told “they haven’t had a general manager for three weeks now”.Every time I call no one is there.I was also told the district manager doesn’t respond.So who do I talk to about a unit I haven’t reached all month ? Katherine is nice.But,that is about it.

Katherine was very friendly, helpful and always willing to take the time to answer any questions that I had. She even took the time to take me to a couple of different storage units, so I could see what size that I would need. It is always very clean! I recommend to see Katherine for your needs and questions!

We had a very stressful move on top of it being so hot outside. Katherine was the onsite employee that helped us and she was so friendly and helpful. I appreciate her patience with us and I would like to thank her again.

This place is ridiculous the management is horrible and rude! I have attempted various times to speak to upper management or administration regarding the adament Refusal to contact tenants on the 2nd floor after multiple thefts reported due to lack of fencing overhead. Even the independence police said they advised them to notify their tenants so people could be more vigilant about their property. This saddens me, especially when the entire company is not empathetic or understanding when people lose sentimental things money cannot replace.
