Philip listened to my situation and worked with me to get my account in good standing and I was able to begin the process of going through my belongings and cleaning out my storage unit.
I met with Ben to rent a unit today. Ben was very professional and the process was fairly quick & easy. I would definitely rent with them again if the need arises.
Mitch was very helpful in helping me with my first experience renting a storage locker. The facility is clean, well lit, convenient for me, secure, and climate controlled. Just what I was looking for. I am using a 10'x10' locker, which is perfect for my needs. Payment is simple and the cost is competitive with other places in the area.
Yesterday I went to Public Storage to retrieve some things. I saw that someone was in the office, so I stopped to inquire about replacing carts that had gone missing in the past months. The door was opened by Phillip, the new manager of only three weeks. He was aware of the situation and told me he has ordered more carts. I appreciate that because without more carts, customers are forced to wait until one becomes available. While talking with Phillip, I mentioned that I would be looking for a new storage location with more reasonable prices. I told him I had just received a rent increase of 25%, which would make me move. Phillip said he would see what he could do to reduce that. He looked at my account and was able to put a delay on that increase for 6 months. Quite a savings!
I'm very happy with Phillip's responses on both issues. He's very customer-focused and a great representative for the company. He's a 5-star guy in my book!

As for the property, the rates have a sizeable discrepancy from what is listed online and what long term customers are paying. They seem to have automated price increases every few months, so as of Jan 2025 it would have been over double the online listed rate (per the 24% increase notice :-O ). So that was quite the shock! Not sure why there is such a difference in the online rate compared to current customer rates.

Attempted to raise my monthly fee by 20% with less than a month’s notice. Gave me two months to prepare for the raised fee only after I sent an angry email.
I’m here after work with a truck full of stuff to put in my unit and there are no carts available for me to use.
I am moving out of my house this spring and into a larger place, I absolutely cannot WAIT to get out of this storage facility.

Excellent customer service! I wanted to transfer to a larger unit and Phillip went above and beyond to get it taken care of for me. He made sure the process went smoothly and that I got the best price on the unit I was transferring to and he also made sure that I didn't have the pay the admin fee again. Highly recommend!
So these storage unit companies can be quite handy when you need some place to put extra stuff that you don't have the room for. But they are only handy when the price is affordable and they do not gouge you. In the past years there has been 10-15 increases and sometimes twice in the same year. How's that for treating your current customers? Also, this location supposedly has 4 carts, but whenever I go there I am lucky to find one. They have cameras so if someone is keeping these and taking them you think they would know. I am currently leaving from this franchise so if you need a unit and you can handle the high price go for it!

First day signing up - corporate person I talked to was pretty overzealous and I was having trouble getting information from him, but when I got forwarded to the Commerce drive location Mitch was very helpful and answered all the questions I had. Helped us when we showed up, gave us directions and checked in on us on our way out.
Obviously day 1 moving my stuff in, but I was impressed with Mitch and the facility. Temperature was very comfortable.

Two of them had me wait 10 minutes each for a Property manager to be here to show me units to look at never showed up never called me. I’m still sitting here 40 minutes later.
There’s also a lady Pissed off because she can’t get in and no one’s here in the lobby to return keys and locks

When first we used the storage facility, it was Simply Self Storage and I provided this review: Brand new. Very clean. Good equipment. Lana is great!I
Since then, the facility was sold to Public Storage. Lana is gone. There isn't even an on-site facility manager any more. The upkeep of the facility has gone down hill. For several weeks one of the garage doors wasn't working making it difficult to access the garage area. The facility cleanliness has deteriorated. During one winter storm, we couldn't even access the facility.
It appears that Public Storage is acquiring most of the other storage facilities in this area. Not a good omen.
Just moved here and needed to find out about storage for our belongings. Mitch in Customer Service was the most helpful and friendliest person I have met in a long time. All my questions were answered and I am happy. Thank you Mitch!!!

Storage staff has been exceptionally helpful! The facility is clean and well-maintained.
I have had 2 units for several years. I loved that the loading zone is climate controlled. It's also convenient that there are bathrooms available 24/7 on the main level. Since Simply self storage was bought out by Public storage, they raised the rent so much for existing people, while they were giving a big discount to the new people. I decided to move out to another one with a much better price and has a main floor units. While I didn't appreciate them raising the rate so much, Mitch at the office was always very friendly and tried his best to help people. I appreciate him a lot!

I wrote this review when I first moved into the unit five years ago. I would like to add on to this. Mitch has really gone above and beyond.
Feel sorry for the poor people working here! They face the worst management providing the worst customer service possible. Three of four broken garage doors. Never fixed. No signs directing customers. They do not care about customers. Do not move here!
Mitch was fantastic at this facility, we were able to secure storage for six months for my brother. He went over and above to show us the locker, and all the steps necessary to come in and out.
I got a 10’ unit when it was Simply Storage end of 2022 for $108/mo. That was the best value for the money compared to other places that were charging $50/mo or more for the same size unit in an older place. Simply Storage was 5 stars.
Fast forward to not even a year later(last month) and my rate raised to $146/mo and about a few weeks later it was announced that it would be transferred to new ownership under Public Storage, and now in 1 more month (12/2023) the rate is increasing again! To $174/mo, so in 2 months time, my rate is now an extra $74/mo. That’s outrageous and was afraid that would happen. I’m upset it went up THAT much a month in this economy(let me guess “inflation”?). I avoided Public Storage for this exact reason because their prices were so much more expensive and now I’m stuck here because they bought out simply storage.
Oh, my contract with Simply Storage stated nothing about rate increases and conveniently my rate went up about a week or 2 before they made the switch to Public Storage, so then when I had to sign the new contract, I was bound to that rate increase, and the new contract states they have 30 days notice to change rates. I’m not stupid, that’s scummy, I see right through what Public Storage did.
Shop elsewhere if you can, this is scummy. Shame on you Public Storage

Moved out on the first and couldn’t get my refund because I didn’t give a 10 day notice and that was only cause they never answer the phone and the store manager was on vacation.

I worked at this location when it first opened. I was always proud to show clients around and bragged about what we offered. I took pride in how clean the restrooms were, if something wasn't working, I worked to fix it.
Now, three years later, my storage unit costs a fortune, there are absolutely NO garbled cans anywhere on site, not even in the restrooms....which look like they have not been been cleaned in months. Rings!!! Ish
The door to the side of the bldg wasn't working and let the freezing air in.
Sadly, my experience here is less than satisfactory and I would not recommend.

Office responsiveness and helpfulness leaves MUCH to be desired.
