James at the site in Little Canada, MN was awesome. I had an issue with my original unit the lock was missIng. James was able to get me switched over to a new unit without an issue. He was very courteous and made sure that everything went smooth. I can’t recommend James and Public Storage enough.

I’ve been renting with public storage for over 12 years now, over multiple locations. Please don’t rent from public storage after my situation. This location was atrocious, I was in the process of moving from one location to another. I started the rental at the end of February in hopes to start the move in process throughout March. The manager Charles seems to have a tendency to overstep his authority and lie about customers on public storage records. On March 12th I received a move out email that indicated I requested to move out. I at no point requested that. When I showed up to resolve this issue, Charles notified me that they do this as regular business practice to get the attention of their customers. This was now the second time I had to show up to the office without good reason, as I was improperly charged for items I declined when signing the contract. When I asked Charles for their policy on this move out practice to get customers attention, he told me that his district manager would be in touch to explain that it was in their policy and best practice to do that at public storage. Again 12 years of business and at no point have I encountered this with with public storage. Charles notified me that he would reinstate the storage locker to my account. Upon receiving this I exited the office to go gather something from my storage locker. At this point Charles came out of the office and told me that I wasn’t allowed on the property. He proceeded to call the police on me for going to look at my locker. Unsure why as he had let me know less than 2 min prior that he had reinstated me to the locker. Three police officers showed up to the location one blasting past me asking for Charles by name. It appears this office is familiar Charles, from other reviews it looks like my situation happens frequently. After the police issue was resolved in a professional manner they directed us to contact Public Storage customer service, as we no longer have a storage unit. Charles has reported to our account false negative remarks. I asked Public Storage if they could get me the contact to the district manager as I wanted to clear things up. District Manager Benjamin Seghers refused to take my call after multiple public Storage escalations to speak with a district manager. Moving in on Feb 28th I paid $109 (prorated for the last 2 days of Feb and thru March) to cover my payments until April 1st. After being “moved out” by Charles (without my consent) I was only refunded $14 for my rental up until March 12th. They will move you out without your permission and fraudulently take your money as well. Please don’t rent from public storage I would never wish this emotionally distressing situation upon you and hope you never run into the type of location manager Charles and District manager Benjamin Seghers they have at public Storage.

Property manager actually called the police and had me removed from the property for trying to pay my storage. Definitely in the top five worst customer service experiences. First of all 2 days ago I received a move out receipt email and I never requested that and payment wasn’t due until June 1st. I called the location and was told that some guy called in and said he was moving out and the storage locker was cleaned out. I told the lady that I’m not a man and I never made a phone call and everything is still in my locker. She quickly corrected it and told me everything was back to normal. This morning I get there at 9:00 and my code doesn’t work after trying it numerous times. I call the office only to learn that they're not open until 9:30. So I walked down to wait at the door as I’m trying to get a hold of the 800 number. I noticed a woman walking into the side door and I go after her to ask if she works there and a guy named John comes up behind her and I tell him what's going on that it's pouring down rain I can’t get into my locker and I’m thinking it’s because of the mistake that public storage had made a few days ago. He tells me he does not get paid until 9:30 and I can come back then. Meanwhile my stuff is getting wetter and wetter. I was very shocked at how he responded to my crisis. I get that customer service is a dying art but the person that is living on site must have better people handling skills. And isn’t that why there is so done that lives on site? To handle emergencies when they arise? I called and left a voicemail for the property manager to get ahold of me and I’m hoping he or she does because there are a lot of people looking for work right now and they need to find someone else.

Rate increase after u move in.

"dear public storage" why you increasing prices with out any reason, For the last year rent of 5x5 storage increased from $40 to $79, now I get email that you will extra charge $50 deposit for Combination Lock Deposit. I'm not ready to pay you that money, and would like to reduce rent payment.

This company leads you in with a low rate and quickly raises the rates every few months. You do not have a contract for a rate so be aware a rate that starts at $79 can go to $309 fairly quickly. This is not a good option for long-term storage. The units themselves are clean and well-maintained good security and customer service at the site. It’s unfortunate that they price gouge but this is done at a corporate level, not at the individual storage facility.

The price of rent is increasing for no reason. They just sent us a notice that the price will increase, for last year I got 2 notices, rent had increased by 90%. Dear Public storage - please explain WHAT IS THE REASON? It looks like  5x5 storage in a couple years will cost as 1b apartment.

The manager was rude. She stayed inside her vehicle with the window down 1/4 of the way. She then started yelling something to us which we didn't hear cuz we had the radio on.

Angie helped me out in so many ways on getting my storage as this was my first time Even when I my code wasn't working she noticed and open the gate for me I see she's a very hard worker and I think the company is wrong for letting her go just from a customer's view If I where you I would rethink your decision hard and maybe reconsider that's just my opinion I really do think you're making a big mistake and that's coming from my heart I gave you a four star I would have gave you five star if you weren't letting go of a good employee

I would recommend to never use this storage facility they randomly place locks on your storage and can’t access your stuff and it’s way over priced. I’m moving and now I have to go home unload my truck reload it and come back tomorrow so they can unlock it. I will never use public storage again.

Terrible. Eveeytime I show up. Door is locked. I come to move my stuff. This is the WORST parking lot. Snow covered every entrance. terrible maintenance. Hopefully I don't break my ankle today walking on this slipper surfaces and walking through your mounded up snow against our doors.

I put 1 star even if I hadn't rented from here. But the fact that I have setup an appointment to come look at the property units and nobody was at the rental office and nobody was opening the door!? This isn't a good first impression for someone in search of a place to rent. I could already see that it's very unorganized. Where are the workers!? Why set me up when nobody is there?? Is it even open? Apparently, it's open but no information on their whereabouts. Horrible service already. They're not allowed to put any signs at the door informing ppl that they've stepped out of the office for awhile. Why?! Very ridiculous when they set up an appointment just to leave ppl confused and wondering what tf happened and wasting ppls time! We got places to go and got things to do, just saying. Half an hour of waiting of my life I won't get back! I will be looking else where that has better service

Angie is an absolute angel. She was so patient, helpful, upbeat, and friendly. I have never met a nicer storage facility manger!!! Also, the Units here do not have mice issues like many other facilities I’ve been to.

Currently have a storage unit and recently the rent went up a whole $100 if not more. And they display/advertise that there storage units are climate controlled when infact they aren't.

Angie the manager has helped me with a refund due to the garage door being too small to fit my landscaping trailer. I wished that she didn't have to do a refund and I wished that I would have a storage big enough with a wider door. I give this place a 5 stars because Angie has done a great job. And as a business owner myself good people who can work for you are hard to come by. In the future if I need any storage room this will be the first place I will be looking into again.

Very patient considering people were lined up and the one unit had stuff still in it when the guy in front of me moved in. Another had mold issues and then the unit that was assigned had a broken door. Only reason i was in the office was because there were no dollysin the u it i previously rented

I like this facility because of Angie. The other day there was a guy there with a monster commercial refrigeration unit. It looked like it was going to take Angie hours to get this guy signed up and loaded into the facility. Yet she was great at multitasking and able to help me and the refrigeration guy at the same time.

Angie was great in that she recommended a couple of low cost van rental facilities. She also recommended that we go to a facility to buy low cost straps to immobilize our items that we were moving. Very helpful. She is also very on top of everything that is going on at the facility. I recommend this facility specifically for all the help that you get from Angie. I have rented for years at the storage facility on highway 55 in Minneapolis and it was ok not great. This facility is great !

Angie is very very very helpful. She was great at giving us tips on what we were able to do to move in and move out and store things. We needed to rent a moving van and Angie had some great ideas. I have rented from other rental facilities and I have never had the amount of help that I got from Angie. I own a sales organization and I tried to hire her away from Public Storage but she is loyal to the company. I do not recommend businesses lightly but I wholeheartedly recommend Angie and Public Storage on County Road B in Little Canada.

Angie was super helpful with information on units. Me and my bf went here to check the units and she was kind enough to show us one in person. Eventually we came to a conclusion of another place and she was kind to offer information to the other storage facility and even helped us set up to reserve a spot and we got a time. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for units.. Staff are kind and wonderful services. I’ll definitely come back to this location for myself personally in the future.

Property managers Mark and Angie were great. I had to upgrade to a larger unit after arriving, and they were able to get me switched over in just a few minutes. The new app gate access is super convenient.

I went in earlier this week to get a space but white dude in the front didn't want to help me because I didn't reserve it online. It's as if I was a burden to him. Rude as heck.

So its website advertising "Lock This Rate" when you rental there storage space. But then there promise is a lie after several month rental they decided to raise my monthly rate by nearly 10 dollar more. After you make your move out in middle the month they don't give you your differential credit they owe back. Stated on there website said " if there is a credit owe back it will be credited" but this is not at the end of the month yet. The part time worker name: Tom; he is totally rude, and doesn't treat there customer properly. First of all the gate code for the access gate doesn't work and MR. Tom is acting like if I were lying. In future will not be using public storage as a storing due to there poor customer services, poor maintenance of the property. Example: the gate door to the main unit building is broken it was said to be fix soon guess what? It is another lie been over 4 months and it is still stuck closed. 2; regarding property maintenance there are several area have thick ice cover and it was never cared to be de-ice out which make harder for customer to walk around to unload and load there stuff, light source in building they were blown out in last 4 month but never get it fix, building area door and gate was heavily flooded and manager was never cared to check or clean up until I decided to show up at my newly unit I rent then the manager went there to clean up the flooded area this is not acceptable at all. Well done public Storage you will greatly loose customer due to your poor maintenance.
