Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 2105 Avon Industrial Drive, Rochester Hills, MI

Was just up at Public Storage today helping my mom pick out a storage unit, an was Helped out by John! He was excellent was attentive to our needs an was very clear on explaining everything we needed to know about the unit an storage facility. Was friendly an kind couldn't have asked for a better person to greet us when we arrived. Helped us set up the app as well an showed us how to use the gate code. Was glad he was here to assist us.

When my mother died, we put some of her furniture in storage until we fixed up our house. John at the Rochester Hills Public Storage was extremely helpful and kind. He got us into the correct size unit on the ground floor near the exit. Transferring the furniture to the unit was easy. The moving company was impressed with the ease of the delivery. Today, I received a call from John concerning my credit card that is used for autopsy. He wanted to let me know that the expiration date was next month. He arranged a time for me to come in and update the information. I felt that was a nice gesture. I don't think about paying my storage bill because it is automatic.

I am currently renting a storage unit and would like to rent another one. John was fantastic! He was very helpful when I called. I wasn’t sure what size unit I needed, so he offered to show me a unit to help me decide. He even gave me some great tips for storing my belongings.

Ron is excellent. Helped me out with an issue I had. Ended up getting me a better unit! Would def recommend.

I've rented at public storage for a few years and always very happy with the customer service from the managers. Today I stopped by and had questions and was helped wonderfully by John. He knew so much and was very polite. Great customer service and made sure all my questions were answered.

Just rented a 10x25 unit. Ron was very helpful and patient. He showed my husband and I the unit, and assisted us with the minor details when we rented on line.

I am extremely happy with everything about this place! The staff was friendly and helpful yet professional. I like how handy it is to get in and out and how clean they keep the facility. I would highly recommend this facility!

I rented my storage unit five years ago when it was Beyond Self Storage. I was happy with them, no complaints. When Public Storage took over a year or so ago, the place has gone down hill. They do not keep it clean. Look at the elevators when you are there. You would think at least they would be clean, but no, they are disgusting. My rent has almost doubled in the past two years while under Public Storage. It’s just not worth $250 a month for a 10x10 unit. They just lost a customer of five years due to their greed and lack of concern for their facility and customers. I would never intentionally rent from this company and have heard the same from many other people as well.

Unfortunately, nobody maintains the facility, or the work requests to have things repaired. There are multiple lights in front of unit that do not turn on. Every time I go into my unit, I have to bring flashlights. Update: Still not fixed after 3 weeks.

I have had plenty of negative experiences at public storage before, but Michael of the Avon Industrial Dr Public storage was the most helpful and awesome guy I’ve ever met in a storage facility. He was full of tips and tricks to make the storage experience as smooth as possible. A shame the stars only stop at 5. I’d come back just for him!

They wait for you to be 1 day late on payment and if you have a unit with even 1 nice thing on day 2 they will sell your unit to ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES for LESS than you own. Take your stuff. Then charge you the remaining balance. DO NOT USE ANY PUBLIC STORAGE. MICHAEL IS ONE OF THE SMILING SCAMMERS

Rented two spaces when this location was Beyond Self Storage and never had any issues until Public Storage took over the property. BUYER BEWARE - this company will start raising your rent within 4 to 6 months. My rate went up 55% and the place has gone downhill. Constantly had issues with bugs in my unit and the facility is filthy. Bathrooms are gross with no working hand dryers or paper towels. Even though there is an office onsite they keep the doors locked and you can never speak to a manager without having to call the 800 number first. Do yourself a favor and don’t support this business.

The unit is new and clean. Michael, the manager is very accommodating and answers all of my questions. He offered an alternative bigger storage unit on same price when I lost the smaller unit I reserved . Michael is very pleasant with excellent customer service. !!!!

Beware of this place. Not only do they have the doors locked with lights off 50% of the time raising MAJOR concern for their security, they are CON artists. They will sell your stuff DAY 1 of being late for LESS than what you owed then send you a balance for the remaining money. Them having no one in the office helped make this payment late and i WILL be seeing these para- sights to humanity in court.

The unit that Michael had reserved was not available because of a problem the tenant. Michael put me in a larger unit at the same price. Very good customer care.

I have my storage here for a year and Michael the manager made it the best experience I’ve ever had with the storage company. Always clean inside the storage and outside the storage. I moved all the way out to Brownstown but if I needed a storage again I will make the trip all the way back here just for Michael service and clean pest free location👌💯💯

When I came to take stuff out, my belongings in the unit looked like it was tampered with, not sure how? However, I did use the lock they forced me to purchase. When I tried to talk to them about the guy behind the desk, he looked drunk, high, or maybe both. He said sorry 8 times, he also said to me if he knew what happened he would tell me?! Not sure what that meant. Now I'm not sure what am I missing because I don't have time to inventory my stuff. Buy their lock, and lose your stuff! The gate is open often for no reason and the building smells like urine once inside There is rat litter everywhere, but don't bother complaining. If you have a complaint, anyone you talk to will tell you they are the property manager. There is no access on the weekend after 5 pm or all day Sunday. Good luck calling the 800 # They all lie about everything. Their prices are fluid, don't make the trip if you are looking for a good deal. They will get you no matter what. Just expect to pay $50-100 more on the first day. If I had time I would move my stuff out of this dump.

I have been renting units from Public Storage on Avon since last year. The rental process is easy and affordable, and the property is clean. Michael is awesome. He is knowledgeable, patient and polite. The process is quick, simple and I know our items are safe.

Our experience with Michael at the Avon industrial location was outstanding! He was personable, thorough in explanations and just generally a nice guy with high energy to do business with! We stopped at another location across the street before we met Michael. The sign on the door across the street at another Public Storage said the manager would return at 4:00 p.m.. it was 3:40 p.m.. She must have seen us because we never even knocked. She came to the door cracked it open and rudely said, "I'm on my break you'll have to come back at 4:00". I will never do business with that woman, but I would do business with Michael at Avon industrial 100 times. You can't go wrong with him.🤩

Here I am on 7/21 to pay my storage, which granted is 20 days late. This facility cut my lock off and told me I need to buy another one. Total breach of contract as my payment was not mor than 30 days. Now they want me to pay for another lock. Absolutely not! You stole from me, you fix it!

Within 3mo. of moving in they went up "$42"!!!!! because they feel they can & did! Will Never use again or any that do! Supply & Demand BULL...PRICE GOUGING IS PURE GREED & CUSTOMER SERVICE UNFRIENDLY!!! ITS CRAZY & ROBBING PEOPLE DURING TOUGHEST OF TIMES!!! As soon as I can I'd rather get rid of most thn store it & began again & will!

I have a unit at this facility and recently wanted to downsize. I decided to come into the location on a Saturday morning to do so and was warmly greeted by the manager on duty, Michael, at the front desk. I explained my situation to Michael and he listened very intently and then he told me all of the options for unit spaces that he had currently available. I even asked for a quick tour and he was happy to show me around. Michael was very nice and easy to talk to. I really liked how thorough he was as he explained the details of the units, the current prices, the process of downsizing and other things about the facility. It was great customer service and very helpful!

This place is really clean and doors are automated. Which is really impressive.
