My experience here was great. Kimberly was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. She greeted us with a very welcoming smile and walked us through the process of getting our unit and downloading the app to make it easier for us to get in and out. Kimberly is lovely person she assisted me with setting up my unit answer all my questions, she is totally awesome.
Poor lighting, difficult access. There’s no lights leading up to the gate. There’s only one functional exterior light on the building (Building “B”). Literally have myself and seen plenty others unload in near darkness (phone camera makes it appear lighter than it is). It’s a hazard. To get into the first floor there is a swinging door with no automatic open (like a disability button) that makes it very difficult for a single person to navigate into the facility, and would be near impossible for someone with significant disabilities. Security it’s important but be prepared to enter your code repeatedly ad nauseam. I guess I need to try the app to see if that makes it easier. Honestly, just an oddly very poorly thought out storage facility.

Terrible experience at this storage facility. The app almost never worked to provide gate, door or elevator access so I'd always have to get out and enter my code. One of the elevators would be down on busy days meaning it took twice as long if your unit was upstairs. They raised the rent over $50/month for no reason. And finally, they use bait and switch allowing you to schedule your move out for any day of the month but do not indicate that they don't prorate or refund for unused days. So if you pay for all of the month and move out on the 2nd, they won't refund you for the other 28 days and they can re-lease your unit to someone else and double dip on the rent for the same month. Super shady. I will never rent from Public Storage again.

OLD:
Elevators are out, and I am just 100% unable to get to my storage unit on the 2nd floor. The stairs are located a maze away from the dropoff area, and all the doors are locked when trying to go up! It's only meant as a fire staircase. So if the elevators are out, you just can't get to your storage unless it's 1st floor

Kimberly was delightful to work with! I came to Maryland from Ohio frazzled, and she was kind and courteous as I asked questions in my moving daze. The facility is clean and easy to use. The price is reasonable and the space accommodated all of my things.
Update:
I’ve spoken to the District Manager. Accommodations have been made. Ironically, Kim called as well wanting to speak to make things right as well. By then, I had already spoken to the District Manager. And also wondered, why didn’t you and your team do something about the situation the day of?
Currently renting 2 units. Renting the first unit wasn’t bad. Renting the second unit was a major issue. I wanted to see the space in person to make sure it could accommodate all of my items since I was in the middle of downsizing and was told no. I had to do everything online. I took the risk and rented a space online like Kim said. The day of the move into the second unit which also was in the second building was very difficult to get into because concrete was being poured down at the entrance. No apologies, no accommodation. Just an oh well. Luckily my movers were understanding. Now a month later the price of the unit is going up. I’d planned on clearing out both units by the end of the calendar year. That timeframe has definitely changed.
Very kind and thorough
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with this public storage business.
The manager called (have the voicemail to prove it) me and insisted that all customers are required to have auto-pay turned on. This seemed odd to me, so I asked to see this policy in writing. Instead of providing the policy, she gave me a bizarre excuse, claiming that "they don't have a written policy about not having cats or dogs... so the same applies to the auto-pay policy."
When I persisted and asked again for the policy in writing, she abruptly hung up on me. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
There are several other storage places in the area, and I strongly recommend taking your business to one of them. Save yourself the hassle and avoid this place at all costs. They are not honest.

Sheila. Thats my new favorite name for my favorite public storage employee. She is the type of person you instantly fall in love with. She is a customer focused employee and makes sure that the customer's wants and needs are addressed. If I didn't already have a grandmother she'd be the next in line for that role if she'd be willing. Shes too precious and she deserves the world! Please public storage corporate head this review and take care of her as much as you can! Prime example of a star employee youd see under something like undercover boss.

First time renting a storage space. After looking at other places and comparing service with prices, I settled with Public Storage at this location. In my case I don't want to store items where they can be damaged by humidity or bad climate control. The customer service provided by Kim and Juanita was Outstanding !! They answered all my questions and even got me the best price. Can't complain, they keep the place clean and very welcoming. I definitely recommend this place.

This place is clean and secured but what's the point if you can't get to your unit. The elevator is out and I can't access. Can anyone help me or them out. I need to drop off a bunch of bins.

I am making room in my house and needed to remove items that are in the way until I decide what to do with them. I had a smaller unit and knew I would need more space I was able to transfer to a larger unit for $1 more a month. Thank you Anthony for your assistance.

I have really enjoyed renting from this facility. The units are clean, and having a climate controlled space has made a big difference in the preservation of my things. I just spoke with Kim, the manager about an exorbitant rate increase. She was able to make some cost saving adjustments for me. Kim is the greatest.

The place is very clean and I feel safe with my things being there. However, it’s a no from me for the staff. Very rude and not helpful in the slightest. Immediately I walked in and I have never been treated so poorly. She had a terrible attitude and was unprofessional. She also left the building and posted a sign to return at 4:45 and she returned at 5pm (so I waited for over an hour and was not courteous at all) She ruined the whole storage experience for me, unfortunately.
