Excellent service and great staff
I stopped by a couple weeks ago to get information on a storage unit because I am doing a big remodel. James was at the counter and was super helpful explaining all the options and benefits to me. I have looked at a couple other places and the service was not as good so it makes me feel better about choosing Public Storage when my remodel starts. I definitely plan on coming back in a few weeks to start moving stuff.

My experience at Public storage with Robert was great! He was very helpful. I needed 3 TV boxes but the location only had 2. Robert provided a solution to either go to a sister property or he could bring one to the location tomorrow. I asked him to bring one to the location and sure enough he did. I like that he went over and beyond to make my moving experience better.

I travel often and so the majority of my possessions are kept in storage. I swap in and out when I’m back in the state. James at the front desk has come through for me SO MANY TIMES. He’s always patient when I’m rambling and goes above and beyond to find a solution when I have an issue. The location reminds me of a castle. There is a moat of grass on all sides, a fence, and then roads that don’t connect. The only road that does lead to the units is specifically for the units. I always feel pretty safe. It’s well lit and has a decent sunset. They do have pretty strict rules around being there after hours. You can’t be. Plain and simple. I was once and..they know. You get a call and reminder. I’ve been here over a year and had no issues. I’m adding a review now because I had two units and decided to leave the other chain and combine here.
Moving my belongings from the apartment to the storage facility was a taxing experience. James, in particular, went out of his way to assist me in determining the most suitable storage option. The facility offers after-hours access to my possessions, and the well-illuminated parking lot provided a sense of security while moving my belongings late at night
James has such a positive attitude and was so helpful. Highly recommend.

I've been a customer of the Carmel Public Storage facility located at 1099 North Rangeline Road since August, 2021. Kevin was the original Property Manager, now followed on by James and Bill. My experience with each of them - from move-in, to now moving out, and with Public Storage online, has been exceptional. Most recently, I have chosen to relocate to Southern California. James has been especially helpful to me coordinating PODS, the pick up of donated items by St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, along with coordinating with my eldest son for a proper turnover of the unit. I can't thank James (and Bill), and Public Storage for the quality safekeeping of my belongings as I made a transition in my career and life. If you're considering using a storage facility, please visit the Carmel Public Storage facility on 1099 North Rangeline Road - they'll treat you right! I rarely take the time to review a company or its service. And when I do, it usually turns into a vituperative attack. I have been a customer of Public Storage in Carmel, Indiana for ten years. The facility is fine, and I have had few issues, but such places, these days, are everywhere and usually at a more reasonable rental rate than Public Storage. Since Abby left this facility in 2014, the N. Rangeline Rd. P.S. has been managed by little more than a warm body. But recently, I had cause to meet James Y. concerning an issue. I could not have been more impressed by James Y. He is an innovative, efficient, personable, customer-oreinted individual of the highest order. James' service to me was exemplary. Public Storage has something special in this young man, and I urge them to do whatever it takes to keep him around. The five-star rating is due to, you guessed it, James Y.
This is a much better storage unit experience than Extra Space storage as the units are substantially more well maintained and the units are far more accessible. I was able to move a box truck full of items incredibly fast and easy with the ramp that leads right into the main lobby.
Also, wanted to shout out Karen, who was an AMAZING rep and helped us with every facet of the move-in process. She's wonderful to talk to and is very helpful. If you're looking to move-in I highly recommend interacting with her!
RODENTS - highly wooded area! Beware!!!
Please consider renting from somewhere else. This location is surrounded by trees and the units are not sturdy enough to keep out rodents. The ceiling of my unit containing all of my belongings was broken into by a family of mice. The damage cost me over $3000, along with over 80 hours of sanitizing every item I own because it was covered in feces. Unfortunately, the people at Public Storage don't care about you and are protected by contracts, so you won't receive anything if this happens to you. Not only did it happen to me, but others at the same location. The employee working at the time told me this was not the first time this has happened due to the location being surrounded by trees. Please learn from my mistake and save yourself the time, money, and energy that all of us have wasted who have been impacted by the rodent infestation at this location.

James was highly engaged as the site manager. He was patient, helpful, and runs a great operation at this location. Oh, and the recent repainting of the entire facility gives the whole place a bright new look! It would be an easy decision to re-rent space at this facility or recommend others to do so.

I came to this place knowing that I needed a storage unit, but I had no idea of my options or what would be best suited for my needs. Not only did James take the time to explain everything to me in detail and in a way I understood it, but he also took me to different units so that I could actually see each one in person. He helped me figure out what would be best for me. He made sure I knew how to use the lock. He showed me the area to park that was closest to my unit. He showed me the different entries and the carts and even went so far as to walk with me to the gate to ensure that my code worked. I have been in the customer service industry for over 25 years now, and I have rarely experienced a level so above and beyond like that. His great personality and sense of humor only made everything that much more memorable. Thank you James.
The people here are great, and they're very responsive to your needs and questions (both in person and via phone/email). James and Bill have helped me out a lot. I also had a good laugh with an area manager of some sort while he was in (Beau/Bo, maybe?). All told, the people there seem like one big happy family, the grounds are clean and the prices are good!
Bill (who looks kind of like an older Shia LaBeouf, in the eyes) was an extremely helpful gentleman who helped me figure out what the best deal was for ME--not the store, but me--and that made a big difference. James was also super friendly and helpful the next time I came in, and he's a very likable guy.
Basically, you can get storage anywhere, but it's the help you get that makes the difference, and these guys made the difference.

As a long-time customer of Public Storage at the Carmel, IN address, I was greatly helped by Property Manager Tajuana Cole when I came in to pay rent for our unit. When she mentioned that the rate had increased, she talked with me about the possibility of downsizing to a smaller unit. But since none was available at that time, she helped with keeping my rent at the same rate for a limited time period until a smaller unit would become available.
Tajuana's customer service is excellent, as is her natural friendliness. She is definitely an asset to Public Storage.

Unit is secure. Pricing is not to bad. Ultimately, Abby is what sold us on renting from here in first place. Her customer service is amazing.
Edit (4/28/22): After so many years of having a unit here, only positive is the staff. Units are not well kept, access doors are "out of shape" (either always covered in spider webs/debris, rusty, or doorstops don't work/hard to get to work), and rent has gone up significantly each year. We started rent at approx $180 each month and we just got yet another notice of an almost $100 increase monthly. We are now paying $486 a month!! Units have not changed, location has not changed, services have not changed, care of property def has not changed...these price hikes are ridiculous.
I stopped by the Carmel Rangeline location today to pay my bill in person for a change. I spent some time talking with Tajuana and she was so helpful and informative! While talking, we reviewed and updated my information and discussed current rental rates for different units. She answered all of my questions and gave me ‘service with a lovely smile’. Tajuana is an asset to the company and a good person to be in a position where she has contact with people! She sure made paying the rent much more pleasant!
Tajuana Cole helped me arrange for my unit. She was so accommodating that she offered to delay her lunch to help me secure the last climate-controlled unit left. Thank you so much, Tajuana!!! :-)
