This location has metal corrosion and causes major mold damage. It’s hard to get a hold of anyone, and if you read closely to your contracts which you should do before signing anywhere, they do not promise any temperature controlling and they are released from any issues if mold or metal corrosion does occur. Highly highly recommend going somewhere else.
I have left my vehicles in outside storage...never had any problems, nothing was ever hidden from me. .very nice managment professional.

BEWARE of HUGE RATE INCREASES! In one year the monthly rate increased 46%. Called customer service and asked why rate was higher than the non-promotional rate, and was provided a vague answer and they could do nothing about it!
For short term, 1-3 months the initial rate is great. But then watch out for frequent increases that they will not adjust.
For the facility, very friendly staff and it was clean and well kept up.
Long-term rental, skip Public Storage.

Have had a unit here for about two years now and have always had a pleasant experience. Recently experienced exceptional customer service from Sally on a couple separate occasions and also from Nick.
EDIT to my initial review: One year later and once again rate goes up to $60. I understand that rates go up as time goes on, but when the units are selling online for $29; that isn't a good look to a loyal customer. They adjusted my rate down to $49 for the next three months and then it will go back up again. Wish the manager Sally would do more for me when I've had timely payments for 2 years now.
I normally don't write reviews like this, but I am so upset about how this facility has treated me- I just had to share so others are aware. I have been a good, consistent paying customer of PS since 2018. My current space of 6 months has been at this Diehl Rd property location in Naperville. I just received a 180% rate increase on my space. When I called and told them I couldn't afford it, I was told I needed to understand how "their costs have gone up". Their costs- really ?? This is a billion dollar company - what about my costs? I just graduated from college and have student loans to pay, rent, car payment, etc. They have no concern for my costs going up. A 180% increase is ridiculous! It's not about costs going up- it's about greed! They said there is nothing they can do to help me. I will be telling all my friends and family about my experience and encourage them to consider renting elsewhere.
Dee was real friendly. She made renting the unit real easy. Update: the staff really came through for me this month. I was running late and had some late fees. I was finally able to make the payment but had some late fees on my account. They reversed the fees at a time where it really helped me out. I can't thank them enough for being such a great staff. If they have space available rent here.

Amazing customer service. I walked in to check out the facility and Sally answered all of our questions. She walked us through the property and showed us multiple units. She was very patient and friendly. When we were ready to rent the unit, the e-rental portal was easy to use. We were able to reserve a unit and move in the same day.

Insane 35% rent increase after just a year of being there! Rent in any place in the world, including the most expensive cities does not increase by a whopping 35%! I have always had autopay and paid my bills on time and never had any issues. I feel like the online advertising of the monthly rates are unfairly taking advantage of customers if the rate is increasing such a massive amount. I have spoken to support but all I have received are boiler plate emails that the rent decrease requests were not approved. The advertised prices currently on the website for the same unit I have are way less than this increased price I am now paying. I think my only option may be to look at competitors because this increase is unsustainable.

I had hesitations about getting a storage unut, mostly due to listening to other people’s horrible stories. However, I went to this location got a great rate, it was clean and well lit. Also Dee, the manager was EXCELLENT at explaining everything to me. I am so relieved to have found this place and Dee, she made the experience soooo much better. She knows her stuff and her personally is upbeat, I appreciated that. If this location is best for you, please go for it. I thank Dee for her great work!

Moved our items in about September 1st 2022. We were supposed to get $1 for the first month and then pay $99 per month after that. We were set up on auto debit and it took me a few months to realize they were charging me $120 per month instead of the $99. That came to light when I got noticed that my rent would be increasing to $145 per month just 4 months after moving in. A 50% price increase from what we initially signed up for only 4 months earlier! I called to complain about the initial overcharge and also to voice my displeasure in the price increase . The Gail in the office who is very pleasant said that she wouldn't charge me the $145 but she was still going to have to charge me the $120 per month going forward. So 4 months in I had a $20 per month increase in my rent. Now I'm 7 months in and I've just received notice that my rent is going to increase to $145 per month. So apparently you need to be prepared for quarterly price increases. At this rate my rent will have doubled within a year. Absolute bait and switch tactics. I don't know if it's just this public storage or if that's how public storage does business other than that it's a clean facility and there's usually parts available to use.
First impression: Nice unit, decent price. Some folks are having trouble getting the elevators to work, and there aren't enough hand carts.
But wait, there's more.
Edit 1.
After being here for a couple weeks, I have a warning for anyone considering the place.
If you're not out promptly by closing time, they lock you and your vehicle in the parking bay. You cannot get out. Your code will not work, and you are stuck there.
I don't mean you can't get in, I mean you CAN'T GET OUT.
Your code will not work, even to exit the parking bay.
So, bring a sleeping bag, some snacks, and a bucket to pee in, because you're stuck for the night.
Edit 2.
After being in the unit for several months:
The parking bay door is broken, and permanently stuck open, 24/7. It has been this way for weeks, and no one has fixed it.
Edit 3.
The door eventually got fixed, but now the door at the other end of the bay won't open. So, to get out, you have to wait for everyone else there to come and move their cars/trucks out of the way so you can back out.
Edit 4.
Every item in my storage unit. Furniture, boxes, tools... Everything has a thin layer of greenish mold growing on it. Have to get out of this place asap.

Main door broken again and stuck open.
Works to my advantage this time, clearing out unit.
Because I cleared out on last day of the month, main office tried to charge me an extra month rent.
So glad to be done with this.

Clean and secure, well maintained. The only concern I have is the temperature. I've had my unit a week and have been in the bldg. on 3 separate days. It is absolutely frigid inside, in the 40s at best. There is no way they are turning on the heating in the bldg. Also, there are only 3 carts available. Bring your own or expect a long wait at times.
I had a billing issue recently. I called the local office and Ashley not only solved the issue with me within a few minutes, but she was extremely kind and personable on the phone. I wish I had someone with her professionalism and high quality demeanor working for me. What a great reflection Public Storage!!!

This place will tack on every single charge they possibly can charge you if you’re late even will cut your lock off that you paid for from them and tell you that you have to buy a new lock. Place acts like they care about at the end of the day your just a person they can force you to pay what they want you to pay. Stay away from them.

Place is swamped with people. The roll up door didn't work and no carts to get your stuff to the elevator. Just a pain to get your stuff in and out. By the way the elevator works with your password and it times out in like 30 seconds. Not enough time to load the elevator.

This is a new building. It's well organized, clean and well lit. You or your movers are able to drive into a covered building for unloading. There is a climate controlled portion of the building with an elevator and Julie is fantastic. She can answer whatever questions you may have. A great place. Addendum...if you can, move your things in or out during the week. The weekends are usually busy and inside parking can be a challenge. Please park on the RIGHT side of the drive through so other customers can get in instead of being stuck either inside with no way to get out or stuck outside and waiting for those who parked on the LEFT.

I have a space this current location and was in the process of moving .I closed my acount and then needed them to reactivate my account because the new place where I was supposed to move too gave me wrong information. I contacted the location right away and spoke to David. He was very proffessional and undestood the situation. He immediately made some calls and talked to numerous people and made sure he was able to reactivate my account with no additional costs.He made sure that he was able to help right away and get everything done I needed.He went above and beyond to make sure I wouldn't have any issues when I arrived back.This is truely one of the best customer service experiences I had with any storage locations.Thanks again David for all your help.
