Limited access. 6:00 am - 6:00 pm hours not only applies to the office but also to the gate and your storage unit. So if you need to access your unit during the week, and you work a 9 to 5, it can be inconvenient. My first time using Public Storage and running into limited access.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The customer service was impeccable. They were attentive, patient, and offered great suggestions. If you are caught between a rock and a hard place look no further for storage space. Ask questions and watch and see what happens. You do not have to stay locked in to unreasonable rates. Thank you ladies for all that you do.
The company in itself isn’t very proactive, but this location especially I would not recommend. On 10/05/24 I was inside my unit and while I was in there my lock and key came up missing. It was after hours so once I left the building, I could no longer come in. The following day I came as soon as they opened to search my unit. There lock was no where to be found. At 9:30 I went to ask the front office staff for assistance and they refused to run the cameras back. She said that since she was here there was no way that anyone could have taken the keys. They didn’t offer me any service, but to of course purchase another lock at 21.79. Public storage only cares about getting as much money as they can from a client. They also have very limited hours that you can access the facility. I wouldn’t recommend Public storage to anyone looking for a storage space.
Just spoke with the district manager at this location because all week there were no carts available. You had to wait for hours, but nevertheless instead of him apologizing he continued to make excuse. He didn’t even offer a credit😡😡but instead told me they were not obligated to have carts for us to move our belongings . Go somewhere else🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️🏃🏾♀️

Storage space was easy to reserve and access. Some items collected dust and residue over a 3 month storage period, requiring me to throw them out. I tried collecting my belongings on two separate days and on both occasions, issues with the building forced me to abandon my trip.
Please hire more professional people. I went to look at the unit before I paid and decided not to because of the poor service (to say it nicely) I received from one of the property managers. I decided to go less than a 1/2 mile away and give my business elsewhere.
Staff was rude and unhelpful. There were only two carts and they were taken and so I had to carry boxes individually to my locker. It was hot humid and musty on the level of my locker and smelled like mildew even though climate controlled is advertised. I told the staff and it wasn't until two other people confirmed that they even believed me. They just kept saying noone else has complained.
This is by FAR! The best customer service I have ever got at a storage facility ! Courtney and Barrnisha were super friendly and knowledgeable. They take pride in their location, it is super clean and the AC is blowing like it’s snowing. I wish I could give ten stars! Thanks girls!😁

10/10 do not recommend. Had storage since 2/22 in 9/22 they advised me of a system glitch that “vacated” me in the system but that my payments were received and that my belongings were safe and secured despite them cutting my locks. They supposedly secured my things with a new lock and all was well and they continued billing me until I discovered after 3 consecutive visits with a 26 FT truck rental ready to vacate my storage to move into my house with my belongings only to discover my things GONE! No trace of auction or evidence of my items being legally processed out in system and now my storage unit that I was paying for is filled with random stuff from someone else that cost me 300/month! After the discovery that my things were gone I asked to be vacated and they billed me for another month! This is a breach of our agreement and the lack of accountability by management to hide or make this go away is unreal. I’ve made contact with their escalation team, local management, and filed through the insurance services I was also paying for to no avail. I’m having to involve an attorney for my belongings worth over $100000 gone in a flash and all they can say is that team is no longer with the company. They struggle with burglary which is why they close the space when the staff closes at 6pm daily. But they doesn’t help when it’s an inside job! Save yourself the headache and take your things elsewhere!!!

This was the WORST experience I’ve ever had in storing my furniture. Roaches, customer services, ghetto people, trash all over the parking lot, you can ONLY come during business hours I mean the list goes on!!! I will NEVER use HOOD public storage ever again. I’d rather pay a higher rate then deal with this!

No one ever answers the phone!!! Or returns your call when it is imperative. Also times I’ve been up there, there wasn’t an employee on properly during office hours.

I needed to store some of expensive electronics. I contacted public storage to inquire about availability and hours. I was advised there was availability at the Northside Drive location and the latest I would be able to access the facility is 9:00 pm. I rented the storage unit and began moving the equipment into the unit. I arrived at the unit for my second trip at 7:20. I was unable to gain access. I contacted the customer service number and spoke with a customer service representative. I was advised the actual access hours were from 6 am to 6 pm. I informed the customer service representative I had been advised the access hours were from 6 am until 9 pm and that not being able to access the storage unit was most unfortunate, because I had no place else to place the second load of electronics. The customer service representative became extremely rude and short and advised me I had received and email indicating the hours were from 6 am to 6 pm. I asked to speak with a supervisor. A supervisor came on the line. She said her name was Kandice. She was even ruder than the original customer service supervisor. She also told me I had been sent an email reflecting the 6-6 hours , eventually, after I asked for the name of her supervisor, she rudely hung up on me. I have been a public storage customer for less than 5 hours and won’t be a long term customer. The call center apparently sees the customers as not worth taking the time to speak with and this company does not stand by the representations they make. Get your free month and clear out, it’s not worth the disrespect demonstrated by Kandice in escalations or the equally rude original customer service representative.

I've had this storage for months and they increased my rent without notice more than $60 when I called them ask why they only dropped it by a few dollars still way too much.
When staff answer phone they basically tell you that as long as you get here before my lunch you can come to get the items you won in auction smh 🤦🏽♀️ it’s just the way you talk to people like common courtesy goes a long way I’m just saying. And it’s in the after noon you tell a person long as you here before 6 because we close at that time if we calling in the afternoon to see if it’s okay to come now it was no need to mention nothing about 6pm I’m just saying

Donald lee hollow elk location. DOESNT HAVE ANY CARTS. Thor prices are ridiculously high! They just went up 40 to $50 which idk why so now I am paying almost $300 for a 10x10. You can’t access your storage after 6 on weekends and 5 on weekends. Very inconvenient. They don’t answer the phone. Don’t get me wrong the staff is very helpful but the business itself can be ALOT better! Also it’s not $1 to sign up bring $60.
