Public Storage Self-Storage Units at 134 John Wesley Dobbs Ave NE, Atlanta, GA

DO NOT RENT HERE!! FACILITY HAS BUGS AND HOMELESS LIVING THERE!! Any positive reviews are from YEARS ago and not reflective of the current filthy storage facility conditions. What a horrible place to rent! It’s very disgusting with a broken elevator and not well kept at all! The floors smell like mildew and the units look very dirty. Homeless people currently living in the units where they pee in the hallways (smells of urine) and throw their half-eaten FOOD and WASTE overhead into other people’s units!! There was rotting food in our unit and BUGS all over our belongings! We are horrified with this experience and will be taking legal action for the negligence to keep our items protected. We rented this unit because it was only 5 minutes from our midtown apartment and were in a hurry to move. We 1000% regret renting here and will never rent here again. We reached out to the property manager and still have received no replies! I wouldn’t wish this unit on my worst enemy! DO NOT LEAVE YOUR STUFF HERE UNLESS YOU WANT AN INFESTATION OF BUGS AND HOMELESS PEOPLE DISCARDING THEIR WASTE ALL OVER YOUR UNIT!

This is absolute worst storage location. On a busy Friday there absolutely no one working. We needed to have our lock cut and this is what I was told: 1. I will put in a ticket for the Property manager to call you-never happened 2. We only cut locks once per month- never heard of this before 3. We will out in a ticket and the lock will be cut in 72 hours 4. The regional manager does not help with this horrible experience bc they focus on operations. I will keep pursing this absolutely poor experience. They have no commitment to working through problems. They acknowledge all positive reviews and ignore the negative ones. Total sham!!!!! And a poor representation of Public Storage

Do NOT use this facility. I was given an incorrect code to get into the building. I tried calling the property manager a few times and left messages that I Was trapped in the gated parking lot for quite some time and left messages for the property manager and never heard back. I finally was let out of the parking lot by a customer that was in the building who verified the code I was given did not work. I never received a call from the property manager or public storage my whole move was messed up and I had to find same day accommodations and now they don't want to refund my money. Called the property 2 days later and spoke to Justine and she was happy to close my account and said I needed to call customer service for a refund which I did immediately after hanging up with her and spoke with Alfred and he said they should have issued the refund and because my account was closed(2 minutes ago) he couldn't help me. Now I have to file a dispute in the midst of an out if state move!! Such a scam!! Zero stars given!!!

Great customer service and nice

Worse possible experience ever. Service is piss poor. Unit number was on 7th floor, went in my things had bugs/insects all over them. Damaged my items there were no bugs when I originally stored and felt safe Storing since it wasn’t the bottom level, it was climate controlled and it was supposed to be protected from the outside elements. Nobody is ever in the office there has always been an excuse for this when i call the customer service number. On the phone I’m told that it’s not a self service location but that’s all I was getting was self service. Was told to go to a nearby location to handle something (in atl nothing nearby is nearby) arrive at the location I was told that the info given wasn’t accurate and they couldn’t assist me. I have more negative than positive things to say about this specific location I would never use again or recommend to a dog to spend the night.

The absolute worst place to keep your belongings! They will call about late payments but not when there’s a leak(from their AC unit) that’s making water enter your unit. Some of my items have mold on them from the AC leaking. When I asked how that managed to happen I was told “ they don’t know” I left my name and asked if a manager could reach out to me and that of course never happened. I have several pictures of my items prior to putting them in the unit brand new! I can’t wait to discuss this matter! In addition, my unit was not locked properly one day I left, I asked if they could temporarily secure it for me due to my work schedule. They assured me they couldn’t do that. I even spoke with the property manager via email and her stating they couldn’t put a lock on it. I go to my unit a couple months later and there’s a new lock on my unit that I didn’t place there. Once I got in contact with someone there they told me they put a lock on it because they had an inspection from state! So it took a state visit for me to get some help but when I asked they couldn’t do it. I also received no call letting me know that either. They are never there during business hours. The staff doesn’t want to work! The place looks horrible and they keep going up on the rent. The WORST & MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE THIS HAS BEEN FOR ME!

My door to my storage recently got kicked-in, someone attempted to break in .The front desk manager was very helpful and understanding ,empathetic. She got my storage unit changed to a more reinforced unit, metal sliding door gate,nice. Perfect Enexellent customer service.

Anitrice at this location was so very helpful. She went out of her way to make sure my belongings were properly stored away safe, and I received the lowest rates for the perfect amount of storage place. Thank you again Anitrice!!

Five years ago: Five stars for Bryant, a very helpful manager! Three stars for parking. It's a bit tight but the location is perfect.

I called to get some information on a few units and Justine was very helpful and polite. Even tho I didn’t end up getting that unit I will definitely refer my friends in the area to rent there.

I just went to the John Wesley dobbs location and the worker named Heather was so nice and patient with me! I go to college in Atlanta and getting a storage unit was such a hassle but the service and help that Heather provided was beyond exceptional! It was really a blessing in disguise to get the size room I need in such a short amount of time, and I am beyond grateful !

It has been less than two month since I first opened an account with Public Storage and already my experience has been nothing less GREAT!! Justine, the employee here, is the young Lady that has shown professional knowledge and sincere courtious towards me in my dealings with her. I make it my business to always speak to Justine in a nice way when our paths cross to see that smile. This downtown Public Storage is extra convinent to my place of employment and other places I frequently visit, I plan to establish and maintain my account here. Called in today to inquire about a unit spoke with a nice lady by the name of Justine she really answered all my questions explained everything to me great customer service I will be renting!

Manager was very helpful, explained the process a clearly. We had no surprises. The facility was clean and our move in was successful.

Had my stuff there a year. Of that, maybe four months had reasonable access due to construction. Elevator broken, extremely rude staff. Expensive for limited access. Location to house only good factor.

I don't know if the lady on the phone was having a bad day or what, I just wanted information on the unit before completing the reservation, she was incredibly short and rude and in the end I just really, really didn't trust the woman there. Kind of a shame though the price was definitely affordable. Hopefully she develops a better attitude or gets some customer service training if she continues working there

Had to pay for two months of storage when we weren't even able to access our units by car. I was supposed to move out within a month and with no notice, they shut down the only entrance and still made renters pay full price. Over 400 dollars gone. If I had been made aware of this before renting a unit, I would have gone elsewhere. Awful hours that allow very little time to do anything substantial if you have a full time job. Rude staff.
