Horrible experience with Public Storage! They were shut down for an entire week by the city, leaving me and about 37 other people stranded outside, unable to make payments. We were told to go to another location, which was a huge inconvenience—many of us had walked there! On top of that, they recently went up on their prices, yet the service has only gotten worse. Some of the employees are downright rude, never answer the phone, and treat customers with no respect at all. It’s like they’re always mad and act like we’re beneath them. How does a business get shut down to the point where the city changes the locks on them, and they can’t even enter their own building? Absolutely unprofessional and frustrating. Avoid this place at all costs!

I had a unit for about a year, currently moving my items out of my unit because I can’t take the mold anymore it is growing on several of my items and I’m tired of cleaning it. I have gone to the office several times and no one is ever in the office I have gone each day for the past week waiting for a half hour to an hour each time outside the office and no one comes and this is during office hours. I tried calling public storage and can’t get anyone on the phone it’s all automated even when I ask to speak to a person. Tried the online chat with a real person and it was also automated saying it couldn’t understand what I asked for when I asked how to file for damages. The place is overall clean but trying to catch someone in the office or someone to talk to there is very difficult. I have talked to several other people waiting outside the office who have stated they have also come several different times to talk to someone in the office and no one is ever there. I figured leaving a review might be the only way I can talk to someone in person so now I’m trying this. I’m running out of options at this point.
I have called here for two months waiting for a manager to contact me regarding a refund check for a storage I bought at their auction. Since February I have been waiting.

Instead of doing what would be the easy solution for her, she saved me some money on a new lock by offering some WD-40 to try to get my lock working again. My rental rate has double from my original rate. These rates are ridiculous. Soon, l will have to vacate my unit because l can't afford the continued price increases.

I have been a customer of this PS location for a several years and now no longer need my space but wanted to let others know what a great facility this is! I've never had any negative experiences here (other than a couple glitchy entry issues on their mobile app.... but I've always been able to enter and exit manually if needed)
In this age of on-line & impersonal transactions in just about every business, I believe in pointing out the importance of communicating in-person at times and then complementing the people who do it very well. The on-site manager Patrice at Public Storage in Lauderhill has been a great help with any issue and is always positive and professional. She is very pleasant and will go out of her way to help resolve questions, calm riled customers or simply to provide information. I feel she is great asset to this company and should be recognized for it!

I have rented a storage unit at this location since 2019 and have had an overall good experience. What I like about the location is the ease of access and accessibility to my unit which is in the A/C controlled building. Also, Patrice the property manager is phenomenal. She is always helpful, professional, and pleasant. Goes above and beyond to ensure the customer is satisfied, and will work along with you if there are any issues with your rental property and it's management. I cannot speak of others, but having the relationship with the front office definitely helps things run smoothly. Thank you Patrice, and team!
Although the office staff was very nice, in the end the service was terrible. We scheduled our check out 1 week before leaving to make it easy on the office. We completed the move out on May 29th, notified the office on the way out, and removed our lock. Even though everything was completed before our scheduled move out on May 30, we were charged on June 2. I contacted the office on June 4 and quickly received an email that I had a credit that would go back to my payment method within the next few days. As of June 19 I have not received my refund so I called again. I was told that the refund was approved on June 14, and they mailed a check. I was given no explanation why it wasn’t processed on June 4 when it was submitted or why a check was sent. I then spoke to Steven in escalation and he was the most apathetic I’ve ever spoken to. He stated it had been resolved, they sent a check and it was my fault for not canceling the auto pay, which I never set up. It was set up by public storage I had been renting this unit for over 3 yrs and had used Public Storage in the past, I never will again.
The property manager Patrice was such a pleasure to meet. She was able to help me with all the information and my concerns. My unit was clean and ready for me to move my items in. The service there was excellent and professional. 😊👍🏻

Rented an outside 10’x10’ space on-line a few days ago. Moved in after office hours and found a gash in the rollup along with the dent made by whatever banged into it. No bare metal means they know about it. Went in to the office today to change to another unit. Customer Rep, Patrice was all attitude and impatient. Only speaking in corporate blah blah. Couldn’t even a direct answer with a simple yes or no. First unit she sent me to only had a 4’ wide door, as opposed to the normal 10’ roll. One would think that detail should have been disclosed up front. Second unit… their last of that size, she stated… had a dirty floor which she did mention.
Can’t wait to see the billing mess this swap brings. Already had to pay some sort of fee for the swap, albeit a buck. Just going to have to see how it goes from here.
The unit I rented was supposed to be air conditioner on 3rd floor was awful hot like outside and staff is never in office when you need them or call on phone I never rent here again and won't recommend any family or friends to neither awful service

This place is horrible. Management is terrible. I have had until here for 3years. I never had any problems until this new woman became manager. I paid my bill for the month of April.Then a few days later there was a paper on the storage door saying I'm being kicked out for being here to much. That's just crazy. I sell things online and have a lot of stuff i put in storage. So im there daily to get what i need. Being its not a big unit it take time to get want i need. There are other people there who are working in there unit when there not supposed to be but no one is bothering them. If I'm being kicked out i should not have to pay for the month if April. My Attorney agrees. There for i should get a refund of my payment. It just feel like harassment.

Helped a friend move items into this storage unit and after moving all day we get to this location at night and the elevator was out of order. This was even after they said they would have it fixed earlier on in the day. Unfortunate for us, their storage unit was on the third floor!

I was moving some of my stuff. I asked to use the restroom for customers. Rashma that was working there, did not greet customers. When I asked if she can open the restroom she said she doesn't have the keys and that we cannot use the restroom. She lied, and said that she goes to another property to use the bathroom. Rashma did not make any effort to look for the keys nor provide any apology. She did not care. Not a good experience.
