We were excited to rent from this location, but after our terrible experience this morning, we will be taking our business elsewhere.
After making an online reservation for a small unit, the manager of this facility contacted us and asked if we would like to tour the unit before move-in. We thought this was very considerate, so we made an appointment for 11am today (12/16/24) to tour our reserved unit. The manager confirmed 11am worked because she would "be there all day."
We arrived for the appointment shortly past 11am, after making a 30 minute drive down from Conifer to find nobody in the office and all of the doors locked. We waited for 15 minutes, called the Customer Service Line posted on the door, and the direct line to the manager. The Customer Service Line just redirected us to the manager line that we had already called, and there was no answer both times.
While we were waiting, another patron who had a unit with this location noticed our frustration and told us that the customer service here was abysmal. There was also a FedEx truck driver who was trying to make a delivery and couldn't because all of the office doors were locked. He waited even longer than we did.
Needless to say, we were VERY disappointed from this experience and will NOT be keeping our reservation. We run a business from home and took over an hour out of our work day to make the trip to this location, which turned out to be a colossal waste of our valuable time.
Grace was very nice and explained everything we needed to know. The facility seems clean and well-maintained.
Talk about a five star to one star experience. This location was great until they started their "improvements". These improvements have caused more harm than good. The gate seems to be on the fritz constantly, the vinyl roof of my hearse was turned bright orange when they painted the unit doors. This not only resulted in a $700.00 dollar repair bill but also a very upset family and the loss of several thousand dollars in revenue, Loss in revenue not being able to access my vehicle because projects were started PRIOR to when people were notified they would begin, and now they want to raise rates. If I can't find better elsewhere at least I know it wont be worse.
James and Cindy are always super helpful and friendly. I can’t say the same for the corporate office. Great place to store your stuff!

I would recommend this facility
DON'T trust this place or James. Back in late April, when I was notified my unit's rent was increasing in June, I immediately rented two smaller units to move into instead. I paid my May rent, giving myself the whole month to complete the move. The next day, when I went to get my keys, James claimed if I could complete my move by the 5th, he'd refund the old unit's rent. I rushed to complete the move in the next two days and James said the refund would be mailed to me by check. It's now September, and I've yet to receive any refund or account credit for that month. Every time I go in to inquire, I get the run around. One time I went to the main office when I'd been mistakenly notified that one of my units had been moved out of (so watch out for that too), and someone who was not James was working there. They contacted their supervisor/manager about the refund issue and they said what James did is NOT something they do, but they would call me later to resolve it. They never did. I went back one more time to confront James and he made the usual claim that there's a note on my account that the refund is being processed, but never shows it to me.
Moved in 2 weeks ago, as I was unloading boxes from my trailer, I had spilled some dirt and rocks that were in the trailer. I went to the front office to ask they had a broom so I wouldn't leave them with a parking lot full if debris. It was locked from the inside, and the girl at the computer ignored me. I tried to go in from the outside door but it was locked as well. I knocked several times and the girl pretended she didn't see me, pretended to be on the computer and answer phone calls. Unprofessional and poor customer service. Customer service is everything. Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for this instance.
My rent has gone up 6 different times since getting this storage a year and a half ago, never has carts or an employee around. Getting pretty fed up with my rent more than doubling since i get it.
James was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the process. He showed me how to use a cylinder lock and the app.
This experience was made so easy by James. I have nothing but good things about this facility and the staff. Thank you!

This storage is always clean.
Public Storage is clean and well kept. The manager James was fantastic. A true gentleman. He is kind and very helpful and explained everything needed to make this a good experience. The only problems I saw were the open ceilings protected by wire mesh and the fire suppression system. The ceilings seem to be a weak deterrent to theft. The fire suppression system seems like it will wreak havoc on all users if any portion of the system activates and floods the entire building.
We’ve been working with James since this location opened and he is fantastic! He has been so helpful with all of our needs and is the reason we continue to rent at this location. He provides great customer service and is always polite and supportive. Thanks, James, for the great work!

Website, email, and text message all told us the unit was ready. It was not. We arrived with a rented truck full of boxes and could not get in. Nobody on the office. Nobody answered the phone. For your first visit, come early. Or better yet, store your things elsewhere. This was false advertising and it screwed us over in the worst way.
Edit: To their credit, the property manage Delilah did reach out the next morning and refunded the lock deposit. They also 'put in a request' to credit the amount for $15, too. That did make us feel better, but I still want to stress that this mishap could have cost us far, far more money than they gave back. Truck rentals are not cheap. If the possibility exists that contactless move in will not be an option, wet need to be warned about that asked of time and the website should advertise it as this sure-fire, guaranteed perk. If the messaging public storage gave us had simply said it was a good idea to arrive during office hours, we would have.
James was incredibly friendly and helpful in helping us sort through making sure our final month's bill was paid correctly and in helping us plan for the move out process. Really appreciate his kindness and assistance. Thank you!
BREAK-INS HAPPEN OFTEN HERE! Our unit got broken into and the thieves made off with thousands of dollars worth of clothes, jewlery and other irreplaceable items such as photos. They opened up the metal grate at the top of the unitThey also left us little messages on our boxes after they pilfered through them that say, "Thanks, granma" (spelled wrong too). They need Jesus after they stole my mother's Cross. I hope they find Him one way or another. DO NOT RENT HERE! HORRIBLE! This also wasnt the first break in as per management, who actually was very kind. May have been an inside job as well. May God have mercy on their souls. They gon need it!
Trying to cancel my contract and can't get ahold of anyone
Signed a contract saying my unit was gonna cost $70 a month and within two months you hiked it up to $95 a month. I feel like that should be illegal considering the contract stated $70 a month and then I have to go through a whole process to get it dropped back down to what the negotiated price was originally. It’s just like having an account at Comcast it’s ridiculous and every time I go to the location there’s never anybody in the office to talk to you about your account. It’s like nobody even works there or they just pop in and out whenever they want.
Everything is online and you can't ever get a hold of a person. I was supposed to move into the unit and the instructions sent by e-mail said the unit was ready and all I needed was a code to access the unit. Although it's indoor you still need a physical lock for the unit which I was assuming was the code given in the e-mail. Also, they had a zip tie on the door that I couldn't remove to move in. Apparently they also didn't specify that a first time move in needs to happen during office hours. I couldn't wait around so I had to go elsewhere. Provide FULL detailed instruction so people can be prepared. The e-mail said everything was ready and it wasn't.
James the property manager was great, returning calls, and making sure everything was going smoothly. Suddenly last month he never returns voicemails or reaches back out. Can't get anyone to help me out. The walkways and storage units are clean and pest free so that's a plus! Rent increases every year but that's part of the storage business and is like that everywhere you go. Again the only problem with this location is getting help from someone when you need it.
The public storage at West bowles and C470 is the best facility because of James. I've used public storage at different locations and all the people are great. James found me a unit with a lower price. That speaks volumes to me. Thank you, James!
I really like the security and number of carts there are available whenever we go. Reasonable online prices as well.
Do not trust the claim of "Contactless Move In". After speaking with a customer service representative on the phone that assured me that I could sign up and move in despite the office being closed you cannot access your unit. They provide a key code to access the building, but no way to access your unit which is locked by a physical key.
Loaded multiple trucks and moved everything here only to not be able to move my items into storage. Came back today the next day when the office should be open but no one is here and the office is still closed after it should have opened earlier this morning. No way to contact anyone.
Very unprofessional between lying to customers on the phone and not showing up to work during business hours.
Don’t go here I paid my storage on time every month then they raise your rent and when you move out don’t trust them I notified the office guy was there only a couple of times that I was moving moved out on 1st then they sent me to collection for not paying the whole month when I had everything on auto pay.
The staff is so nice, the place is so clean, and they have extras like moving carts and security with the phone app.
James was freaking awesome! Not only did he have the boxes we needed so we can move in a few weeks, but he helped me load them into my truck after the purchase. Thanks for being so awesome, James!
Rate increases multiple times a year, I had my rate increase three times in a six month period, so now I’m paying over a hundred dollars more per month. Their prices are high than competitors to begin with, but I was in need of a unit immediately during COVID and ended up renting from them. My rate is now double what it was when I first rented. Not only is the rate increases outrageous , the bathrooms are gross, never have soap, and it’s obvious they are not cleaned. You’ll be lucky if someone is actually in the office, most times I’ve been there, there’s no one available. If someone is there, they are next door smoking and can’t help you.
If you’re even a day late paying, expect them to call you multiple times a day and block your door code until you pay. My payment has taken a few days to process, and my code didn’t work, even though I had submitted by payment online.
I’m so glad to be moving my stuff out this month, I’ve been counting down the days to be done with this place. Hopefully I won’t ever need to rent a storage unit again!

They continue to raise the rent month over month due to “the market”. Manager requested and told me this would be reduced and this request was denied.
We tried to make payments but saw the amount was over what he said to pay so we continued to make the regular payment. We now have late fees they won’t wave. No one communicated that there was a chance for our request to be denied or that it was even a request. Simply make X payment and now we have multiple late fees along with spiked monthly.
Contract pricing means nothing after 30 days - they will continue to raise price as stated by the DM as much as they see fit. Even when we have in writing this will be reduced.
It has been a nightmare trying to get ahold of anyone at the property.
Not sure if management changed but it’s become a bad bad experience.
Property manager James is attentive, very polite and thoughtful of your needs. The total storage unit location is always clean and very well kept

My family and I were going through a challenging moving situation and James was extremely helpful in every aspect of getting us moved into several units. He was very responsive in returning my calls, he physically walked us around to the various units that were available, to see which ones suited us best, he was a straight shooter, very genuine, very honest, very personable, very patient, he was a blessing in every aspect of our dealings with him. He even went so far as to handle the cancelation of my rented storage facility in Scottsdale, AZ, as a result of the disruption to our moving plans. Public Storage, you have a phenomenal employee in James, I hope you're taking care of this man as he's a true asset to your organization. I truly can't say enough good things about my experience at this Public Storage. The manager, James, is the absolute best - I'd give him 10 stars if I could! We moved from out of state and he was in constant communication with me - he reassured me that the units and the facility would be ready to receive our movers. If I ever had to leave a message, he would return my call in 5 minutes. I've never experienced such wonderful customer service. Public Storage is so lucky to have James! He is a consummate professional, friendly, positive and one of the most helpful people I've ever met. He made what could have been a super stressful experience of moving so much better. We are grateful for you James! You're the best! Choose this facility - you won't regret it!

Great location, new and clean facilities. Friendly staff. Parking loading and unloading zone could be better but overall works. Indoor climate controlled space. The elevator doors close a bit too quickly and make it difficult to load... You'll see what I mean. Overall exceeded my expectations and I would recommend.
