I have had the worst experience so far at this location, and I've been with Public Storage for years (new to this location).
I paid $1000 to move my stuff in to this location, only to find that the door was broken in two places on my move-in day. No one ever checked it before move in. A neighbor said the person there before me also reported this door broken and they never fixed it. They promised they would fix the door within 5 days and would call me with updates.
No one ever called. No one is returning my calls.
I called again today and the person on the phone Casi said he doesn't normally work there, can't look anything up, has no notes in the system for my account, and can't do anything. I asked about the work order. He said he doesn't know how to look them up. I told him I gave them a copy of my key to fix things and he said he doesn't know where it is.
I asked for his boss's name and he said Dawn is the district manager but doesn't know her name or her email.
What exactly is going on at Public Storage in Irvine?
Now it's raining and I'm worried that they have lost my key, can't help me, and never put a ticket in in the first place despite what I was promised. This is very stressful and I would be happy if they can make it right. But it's all been bad so far...

Update. We are so glad we store here. If it wasn’t for Christina we would have left. Christina the property manager is AMAZING!!! I’ve had to switch units to upgrade sizes 3 times now and she’s been more than happy to help me find the best and cheapest option for my personal needs. I’ve noticed (because I’m at this location almost daily for work) that not only is she kind and courteous to everyone here she remembers me by name and goes out of her way to say hello everytime I see her!! To me this means everything. I provide local moving services in the OC area so Ive been to hundreds of local storages and without a doubt this is the best location I’ve been to!!! If I could I would give Christina and her crew 10 stars!!!! Great job.
Absolutely worst customer service ever! I’ve been at this location for a little over three years and am moving my things today. During the process I’ve sorted boxes into piles outside of my unit to donate and keep. I left to go drop off donations and came right back to load some more. Upon my return I was approached by one of the rudest workers I’ve dealt with in a very long time. Telling me that I’m a liability by putting my things into the hallway and that every time I come and go I have to put everything back in my unit even if I’m gone for a few minutes. I asked for an exception as I will be doing this a few more times, I’m pregnant and moving boxes back and forth is not easy, and all of my things would be gone within the hour. She proceeds to give me an attitude and was not willing to work with me in any way whatsoever. I was so baffled by her unwillingness to work with me and her awful attitude I didn’t get a chance to catch her name, I’ll update the post if I’m able to get it. I am thankful I will be leaving this location.

This story facility is probably one of my favorite stories facilities in Irvine. The staff is very accommodating and my favorite feature of this place is the keyless entry for the gate and all the doors to the facility. Instead of having to punch in your code you use your phone to open the gate and all the doors to the facility. Definitely recommend this place they also have good specials a different times of the year
we dropped a uhaul truck key down the drain when we just got there. thankfully christina helped us out by fishing it out using a string and a hanger. she’s amazing!

Public Awareness complaint filed with the BBB and Federal Trade Commission
I rented a space paid the amount of 233. I then decided to down size to a smaller unit. Then I changed my mind after being told I would be charged for both units. Then I went to the storage space on Jamboree only to be told I have an outstanding account at the Red Hill location. So they took my money paid for a unit I didn’t purchase and when they refunded me my money they only sent me a check in the amount of 221.25.
The space on Jamboree told me the unit I signed up for didn’t have climate control, Which was the furthest thing from the truth. I purchased a unit same building that had climate control and the AC was working perfectly. However they charge me an additional fee for a climate control unit that I already paid for.
If you come here, ask for Christina. She was so helpful and considerate of my needs and an absolute joy to talk to and work with. This is my first time getting a storage unit and she made it absolutely pain free. Thank you so much Christina!

Best experience I've had working with a storage facility. The grounds are spotless and well cared for. Christina, the property manager, is phenomenal. She anticipated what I would need before I even knew I would need anything. Very helpfully helped me to find my new unit and stayed while I learned how to use the lock, as it was a kind I hadn't used before. She even added a little more grease to the latch on my unit to ensure it worked smoothly. Can't recommend this business and location enough!

One of the workers was harassing a person who was listed as an emergency contact all because he couldn't find my exact unit. She called me, yelling at me as if I could solve the issue.
Instead of being a helpful worker and guiding him to the correct unit, she disabled my entry code and kicked out my emergency contact out of the property, and threatened to call the police.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend it unless you absolutely can't find another spot. I'm so happy to have moved my stuff elsewhere.

Can't find a worst company to rent with.
I would gladly rent someplace else for better care, services, and rates, but they have monopolized the surrounding area that I live in.
They are incredibly predatory and do not give a single care for you or your belongings.
If you can find another place to rent from, please do. They will increase your rent by 30% every 4 months until they bleed you dry.
What they are doing is inhumane and sick!

If I can give 10 stars I would. I have 8 storage units here. I can not rave how clean, professional, and the amazing customer service I have received from this facility and their staff. The manager Christina is over the top amazing. She goes above and beyond to make sure her tenants are happy. Christine has notified me on a couple of occasion when my staff had forgot to lock up the storage. She always goes out of her way to say Hi and make you feel welcome. Amy, always follows through when I need help. Kudos to the staff for providing excellent professional customer service across the board.
Very clean space with reasonable price. Friendly and professional staff. I waited for like 10 minutes though when I first got there since nobody was at the front desk and the door was locked. I called but Amy came back soon after. She helped me check in and my code wasn't working to open the gate so she called the manager for help. She showed me the direction to my unit and told me which door would be closest to get to it, as well as told me which other door would be easier for the truck to unload my stuff - I was thankful she took this extra step to make things a little easier for us! I went back on a different date, forgetting how to get back to the unit. Christina was super nice and friendly and showed me how to unlock the doors again. While moving my items, door 3 didn't stay open properly and closed so she helped me to unlock again. Super great customer service! Highly recommend this location

She took time out of her property to assist me in mine where they are hardly ever in office nor do they return your vmail in a timely fashion- the Cowin property needs to pull it together. The storage is well maintained and clean(even the restroom was clean!), and Christina was so helpful! She helped us organize our stuff and take our things from the storage. Her office also sells some tools-scissors, tapes, and boxes at a pretty good price. I had a good experience in this public storage.

Got here in the nick of time to get my account set up and auto pay right before closing time. Desmond, a long time employee, got everything squared away in that short time and didn’t make me feel I’m a hurry. A very personable staff on location and explained all related inquiries I had about storing my property on site. Even got the app set up and running so thar i can easily access the gate without getting out my car. The employees here are definitely well trained it seems, which is why I’d recommend this Public Storage. Which I hope the other locations have as well informed people like Desmond and Katie.
