The 5 stars are for the employees like Nancy that do what they can to keep the ones that keep this place in business the customer happy cuz public storage itself does not value their long time customers they have raised my rent not really gave me any break or made me ever feel like they value there customers at all only rape me every few months rent goes up im paying 201 for a 10 x 15 i have found many other places for 50 dollars cheaper that won't raise it for a year and when they do it is like 25 dollar raise so im not happy with business but the employees are one and only reason i am staying for the moment .. customers satisfaction is very important for successful business eventually others will take your business especially when i get taxed again im find better rates and put it on front street! I wish public storage valued the customers cuz then i would be able say im satisfied but in the 3 or 4 years here and 3 at the redwood i thought that relationship would mean something but it obviously dont so be smart look other businesses for more customers satisfaction plus storage u wont find it at public storage!

I liked this location and the workers there are awesome, however there was a 34% price increase after 6 months, meanwhile the same price I was paying was still offered online for new customers. I asked if they could change it and they said they could only take off $10. I asked if I could change units (same size) at that location and they said I could get kicked out for “price jumping.” This is a company problem, not a location problem. It’s pretty slimy. I got another unit for my old price at a different location closer to my home. It’s a pain to move, but it’s only short term for us and it’s a smaller unit. I’d rather move our stuff than support public storage’s shady business practices of taking advantage of their renters. I’m sure not everyone that is renting from them can move as easily as we can, so they stay because it’s too big of a hassle to move. It makes me sad for those that are stuck dealing with the absurd price increases. If you are going long term, I wouldn’t recommend this company.
It’s great if you are only planning to stay short term! however, if you’re not, they hike the rates like crazy and it’s ridiculous. I keep trying to put in for a rate change and it’s denied denied denied. I think my first three months I was in there to raise it to stop it from raising the first time but now it’s been raised two or three other times since then. . I would just be Larry. It’s a great place if you need extra storage in a pinch, but if you’re looking to leave your things there be prepared to pay out because they just keep hiking and hiking it up. Nancy Is a sweetheart and tried to change the rate from going up, but she said she does not have the authorization and is not in charge of what the company decides to do. I don’t think it’s a very good way to thank loyal customers. Even if I am to switch units, I can’t get the good rates that are online and if I do it will end up raising also so what’s the point :(
I cannot believe how easy and simple it was to get a storage unit. If I would have known this, I probably would have gotten one away long time ago. It was a contactless purchase. I didn’t even know that something like this existed however, when I did have questions, I was able to meet Nancy who is absolutely wonderful, she is such a doll and a pleasure to work with thank you public storage on 3600 W. Well I am now updating my review post one year of having this unit I was at 5 stars now I am taking it to 1 because I am beyond frustrated. Here is my new review.
At first it was so wonderful getting a storage unit here however a year later and they have given me so many increases that it’s ridiculous! Nancy is great really amazing don’t get me wrong I just wish she had the ability to fix the rate. I have gone from basically 75 a month to last month my bill increases again to 182.00 like for reals? They give you great rates to get you in there and then they just keep raising it and raising it and raising it and it’s absolutely completely not right for them to do this. I would be very leery getting a storage unit from here if you plan to use it for more than just a few months because literally about every three months, they will raise your rate $50-60

The facilities are nice and the price is great. They have a cool app you can use to access the gate, which makes it easier than rolling down your window and awkwardly leaning out to try and punch in a code. The best part so far has been my experience with the staff. Working with Nancy on getting my unit set up was an amazing experience. She was knowledgeable, friendly and just all around a great person to talk to. I will be recommending Public Storage to everyone I know that’s looking for a storage space.
I got locked inside the gate and when I put my code in it said people go see the manager this was 8:30pm at night there’s a 800 number on the key pad to call so I did call it and after 5 times trying I finally got ahold of someone in Las Vegas she opened the gate and set me free but I waited for like an hour for someone else to come in or out and nobody showed up Carolina was great she called me back and asked how I was doing. I thought was great and had great communication great customer service Carolina was the best

1 service representative was talking so fast that I couldn't understand what was going on. I was also having problems registering online. I talked to a second service agent and they were trying to UPSELL me.
They do not understand what I'm saying and I don't know if it's a communication or language issue and then I had to hang up and block the first agent and then they kept calling me harassing me to commit to the reservation. I had to call customer service to complain!

Everytime i call to ask questions nobody is available in the office, no one is ever in the office when im at my former unit even though it was during office hours. Expensive storage units especially for the size. Poor security for the property. management just doesnt care about the tenants. Update: trying to charge for a full months rent when there was no way to tell them before the month I was vacating the unit. Plus trying to charge me $500 to remove any remaining items left. Horrible place to rent from.

I rent a unit at the 3600 West Valley location EDIT I WAS PLEASED UNTIL THEY CONTINUE TO RAISE PRICES it has gone up over $100 in 7 months I was paying $190 now it's $293 this is just wrong I would avoid this place there are other storage facilities I'm moving into a much larger unit for $80 cheaper at Towne storage
I rented a unit here for 11 months. Accessing my unit was simple, especially with the Public Storage app, so I didn't have to remember a gate code. Other 'tenants' were always friendly and welcoming. And the manager (I think her name is Nancy, but the lady with purple hair) was also so friendly, welcoming and helpful any time I spoke with her or needed anything at all. My only complaint (and the reason I didn't give 5 stars) was how much the rent went up in 11 months. The rent ended up being more than I could afford as a single parent, so I had to find somewhere else to move my stuff. You do pay for what you get though. My new unit is not as secure and I've already had several problems even though I've just moved my stuff there this week. And even though this Public Storage location was far from my home, I would stay there in a heartbeat if I could have afforded to. Definitely recommend renting from this Public Storage location if you need a storage unit and can afford it.

I gotta give it to this place I was very skeptical about leaving my personal belongings in one of these because of all the horror stories I’ve heard. But thanks to Nancy (front desk) I’ve really changed my mind. She’s been super transparent, extremely friendly, and well informed about extra help outside of just storing items. The Place is really clean no rodents or insects. The manager did a real good job making me feel welcomed. I wish they would open up sooner. I don't drive so I use carts to move everything around. Having earlier access would be great. I would have gave it three stars if it wasn't for the manager being so helpful and nice. She's really down to earth understands about me not driving. It's great to have a manager that understands my situation.

Moved to this site from another Public Storage facility because they have later hours. Came to find out Nancy was running the place. She had been working at the last place I stored things. She runs a tight ship and I was happy to see her. Smooth, hassle free experience. She helped cancel the insurance I did not need (homeowners covers me), and refunded the $’s for a lock I also didn’t need. Good to know she lives onsite and checks up on things. Unit was clean and even had a light. Nancy is the best and knows what she’s doing. Oftentimes it’s the people who get thanked the least, that need praise and our appreciation the most. Glad I made the move, not only for the extended hours but for a 1st class manager on the job ! Dave T

Worst customer service I've experienced as well the employee looked and had her hair done and had a big piercing looks unperfessional. I walked in, she was on the phone with a customer that obviously was behind on his/her account. And couldnt even tell me to give her a min until I tired to get her attention and when I did she told me in a rude way "you need to wait" and rolled her eyes. all I did was try to show her the address on my phone to see if I was at the right location. And I feel like she took even longer before acknowledging me. I waited a good 10 minutes and left ,Cloudnt even get her name because her name badge was backwards. definitely took my service elsewhere because if I'm getting a unit I wouldn't want to deal with this every time I need something.

The property manager Nancy treated me like I was a friend rather than a customer. She made sure to answer any questions I had without making me feel like I was bugging her. It had been the first time renting a storage unit, and I had rented a unit to small and needed to upgrade after hours or I would loose all my belongings because I had to have all of it out of my apartment by a specific time. Nancy took the time to move me into another unit that was going to fulfill my needs. She did not turn me away because it was after the office closed which truly shows how much she values her customers. Due to her being so nice and her willingness to help I will only rent at this location.

Had a storage unit here for one month and Nancy at the 2935 s 3600 w facility helped get me into a unit that would fit all my stuff, taking the time to measure units and get me into the right one. Helped me find a good deal on it for a 50% off first month which was awesome! Nancy was awesome and super helpful!

Such a great experience with them. Nancy helped out and was so friendly on our first day there to get a storage unit. Walked us through it step by step and answered all our questions. Overall me and my sister had an amazing experience. Nancy was the best!!
Megan was friendly during every interaction I had with her and answered every question I had during my stay there, even the stupid ones. We will miss her.

Until they changed manager it was good molly was the best things were done right and even tho she stayed firmed and let nothing by she kept a good attitude and nice to the people who rent storage space the new chick Meagan and the staff act like their stuff don’t stink and just rude I couldn’t stay so I left to another storage company
This was not at all what I expected from a major Chain. not only do I have to drove 3hrs to get to my unit but was unaware the hours could be changed with out new Contract. So for a month of trying and no return Calls because no one picks up the Phone when you do call for a month paying fuel Prices for nothing and right after they have raised the price on my unit. Last time I actually talked to someone who Said sorry to hear the hours would be going back to normal due to a security issue. Thats all they offer to Clients that have been there almost a year? reading my contract again. would say thier security issue was not mine but the money For no access has gotten pricey good thing I have recites.
Terrible Experience. The unit was padlocked when I got there. The office was locked and empty (this was a Saturday at 2pm during office hours) so I called and left a couple messages, but there was no answer and no return calls. My friends who came to help me and I sat out in the sun waiting, until eventually I had to call another storage space and go with them.
An hour or two later I did finally get a call back. The lady told me she was running two storage sites as her reason for being away. When I told her the unit had been locked she “explained” that I had locked the unit myself that morning. Said she had double locked it to keep my stuff safe (which, again, I’d never even been there). Also there was no 2nd padlock so I don’t know what she meant by locking it herself or if she was even talking about my storage unit. Probably just overworked, but I did find how confidently incorrect she was to be frustrating.
However she told me she understood and would give me a refund, and if that had been the end of it I wouldn’t be writing this. I got the refund today and it was only $21 of the $51 it cost me.
Their prices seem good and maybe it was just an off day, but at least refund my money after you mess up. I would definitely recommend against using this storage site, because if they mess up your move they’ll still make you pay for their mistakes

The only problem with that storage unit isn't they close at 5:00 on Sunday and they close at 6:00 on weekdays and that's usually about the time that when you're done loading your vehicle to bring it to the storage unit you got just a short amount of time to unload it that's a very bad drawback
Had no problems until they randomly decided to start closing at 6pm!! There were people gathered outside as confused as I was, like how do you just the time up on people with no warning and no explanation.
We drove from our new house after work. Would have been really nice to be notified that the gate closes at 6 instead of 9 now! They change the times you can access with NO notice!!!!! Unacceptable.
I wouldn't get a storage here yes there nice but there hours are ridiculous now before they stayed open later but now it's not even worth it. Go somewhere else honestly.

Molly was extremely professional she not only politely excuse herself from the multiple phone calls she received on her private line she also proficiently answered all my questions that were counter to information found online and she did so with brevity and competence. I strongly encourage utilizing this facility.

Molly the on-site manager is AWESOME! She was very nice, helpful, and clearly explained everything and answered all my many questions. She definitely cares about her job and it shows. She lives on site and checks all unit locks twice a day which is very comforting too!
