Kearns Storage Units Near Bangerter Highway
There is no shortage of great self storage options at this Public Storage in Kearns, located at the intersection of Sams Boulevard and 4015 West, one block north of 5415 South.
Just off of Highway 154 and about two miles from Interstate 215, this location boasts a variety of cheap storage units, consisting of indoor storage units and outdoor storage units in different sizes.
For days on the ice at nearby Olympic Oval, a 5x5 storage unit at this location can serve as an over-sized sports locker to store skates, clothing and athletic equipment year-round.
Businesses around South Valley Regional Airport know the value of a little extra space. Commercial storage customers can grab a 10x20 storage unit to keep extra office furniture, documents and supplies right near the workplace.

TL;DR so far not impressed.
I've had a unit here for only a few days, but it has not started well.
I needed a place to store things on short notice, on this end they came through, the man who helped me over the phone was polite and efficient. He earned one of those stars.
The introduction rate of $1 for the first month is bogus, because you also have to pay registration fees and MUST buy their lock.
My unit is "inside", and I was told there would be dollies and/or carts available from the office. Be ready to take those carts up/down stairs while you are in there. Small sets, yes, but stairs nonetheless. The joke about the office is that it is never open! I've stopped by multiple times a day this week (during their posted hours), every time the office is locked and empty. When I call the service number, it rings a while and then I get a voicemail. No on site service whatsoever.
And then there is the gate system, which occasionally locks you in. When the keypad tells you to go see the office manager, don't do it. Otherwise your car will still be locked in, and you will be locked out!

Shelby has been so amazing through my whole process of downsizing my storage unit. She's answered all my questions and made it so easy for me.
I wish I could give less than a one star. Complete waste of time and money. Property manager lied to me about my payment and had gotten debt collectors involved because he gave me false information, then tried lying again when I called him out for his lies. And tried saying I didn’t properly clean my unit out, and is now trying to charge me more for that. Office staff are all stupid! Especially that property manager. Stay away from this scam
I’ve been using this storage unit for almost a year now and surprisingly no complaints. Actually, I received some of the best service at this location during the times I couldn’t remember my gate code or my unit was jammed. Amber rocks at her job and I thank her for being so helpful!
I've been locked out of my unit for most of the time that I've had the unit. I've been told by the people in the office that there is a 3 hr loitering policy when I was there trying to reorganize my unit. Now I can't access my unit passed 5 pm the gate won't let me in supposably because I was living in the unit is what the office people said but Ive never slept in my unit nor have I ever tryd to stay inside of it overnight. Now I'm trying to move my stuff out of the unit but yet the gate won't let me in more than once in a day so how am I supposed to move my stuff out when I'm in a 30×10 unit size which is a larger unit there is no way I would be able to move all my stuff out in one trip.

During my four plus years of renting a 10' x 10' space at the Kearns facility I have always had a very good experience, especially with the manager, Shelby.
Unfortunately, my experience with corporate Public Storage has not been so pleasant. To begin with there have been numerous difficulties with my online account and I have been unable to sign-in for nine months. Additionally, in the beginning my rent was only $80. withing a month or so it went up to $110 which I expected. Within a year it when up again to $130, still not bad, but I talked with the district manager and my rate was reduced to $110. Later the rate was increased to $160, and after asking for a reduction twice it was reduced to $150 for six months, at which time it was increased to $160. Finally, on 1 April 2024 the rate was increased to $206. Having had enough, I opted to build a shed in my back yard and have moved my storage into the shed.
It seems to me that Public Storage should examine its policies, for I feel that I, a faithful customer, who consistently paid on time and in full, have been chased away by their constant rate hikes, corporate greed, and inefficiency in fixing online difficulties.
If you want to have a long-term storage unit maybe you should expect the same treatment. The local personnel, however, are very professional , helpful and friendly.

Great prices. Clean facility. Did the whole reservation over my phone. I use the app to open the gate. Best part was Bill at the front desk. Helpful and friendly. I hate moving but this at least made the storage part convenient.

At first I loved this place. They had great customer service, great prices and good units. However, after the first few months it's been awful. I've been trying to get in for the past two weeks to have someone help me as I went through a hard time recently when my father died, i got behind on payments then got it all paid off before going to auction, because my unit was set to go to auction they cut my lock off and put one of theirs on which is completely fine I understand for sure, but now I have to have them take off that lock and replace it with my new one to access my things. Every single time I call or go down there it is during business hours when somebody is supposed to be in the office and every single time nobody is there. Not a single soul. If I can't find someone to help me in the next week I will be taking my services elsewhere. As well as contacting corporate because apparently their employees don't care about their jobs.
DO NOT STORE YOUR PROPERTY HERE, IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY!! This was the worst storage experience I have ever had. Their customer service and security is horrible. If you are looking for a secure place to store your property this is definitely not the place to go to. They constantly leave the gate open so anyone can just go in and have access to your property/storage unit. I came to my storage unit and found that someone had tried to pry open me unit door. When I alerted the office about it they did not even apologize or make the effort to go and check it out. I definitely got the impression that this happened so frequently to their units that they just did not care anymore. You do not get what you pay for here... store your belongings somewhere else for a better price and more security!

I ran on hard times in life and I lost everything. I was 14 days late to make the vital payment to save what I had lost. The emotional toll ruined me and I almost gave up. I just wish I had that last bit of time. I could've saved everything and I would have been okay

Worst Place ever - never actually open other than during business hours (who can go to the storage unit during work hours). The employees are horrible (at the West Valley Location). I would recommend going anywhere besides here! They have hidden fees and up your monthly payments every couple of months- they only have to give you 30 days is what they say!

She was helpful she helped me find my unit, the one perfect for me and even asked questions about what I would be putting in the storage, to accommodate size and give me a better rate. She gave me the personalized storage unit for myself. There was a mixup with payment one time, but it was quickly dealt with and we figured out a way for me to pay cash instead. Shelby is a phenomenal employee with great customer service. It made every detail about this place get five stars. And I'll recommend this to any friends asking about storage space. Thank you Shelby.

I love this place the gal in the office is amazing.
This place was great for my temp storage that turned out to be long term! Shelby and the management were always quick to answer questions. The gate access was a breeze, especially with the phone/app access so my code was not always necessary. Great security and I recommend Public Storage for your needs!

These people are wonderful I actually got there at 10 to 9:00 and they close at 9 I didn't realize the gate will not open at the closing time I had to call them if you really opened up for me and giggle with me it was too funny. The staff it was very helpful and informing me of what I have to do next time it's clean, well taking care of, and the people are so helpfull
