I had the best experience ever at this location. Kimberly went above and beyond for my daughter and I today. I had accidentally parked at the wrong set of doors and she stopped what she was doing to help us find are unit. She didn't just point us in the right direction but instead took her time helping us with 2 huge carts full of boxes and walked us all the way to the other side of the property to are exact unit. She even showed me where to park at in the future and helped us take back are carts. I was completely shocked by the level of customer service that I received at this location. I rented a Public Storage unit recently in the Richardson area. I had questions about paying my rent in person at other locations closer to where I live. I was near the 2200 Avenue K location in Plano. Vanessa and Nick were there, and said some places only have the self-serve kiosks. I prefer to pay in person to a human being, and get a confirmation receipt printed out. Vanessa answered all my other questions as well when Nick was assisting another customer. They both were very knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Thank you both!

I am a long time Public Storage customer at several locations beginning in the 1990's. All the employees I've met over the years have been very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Storage is fine. The getting automatically signed up for insurance you have to cancel is really annoying and kind of shady. The storage center also closes right at the closing time and your code won’t let you in, which is odd, I haven’t had that problem before with storage centers.

Just kidding , but she did everything else in a professional and helpful manner. If the owner is reading this, please fix the threshold on the elevator. Wow! I've had storage units at other places, but Public Storage at 2200 K Ave. Is just amazing. Kim at the front is one of the best at customer service. As with anything you set up by computer, there will be glitches in the real world. Kim absolutely solved every single glitch, there weren't many, with amazing speed. My unit was pristine and ready ahead of time- I was a day early - and there were ample carts that allowed me to get everything stowed in record time. My experience with Kim and this particular facility (2200 K Ave.) has been just stellar!

Opened a storage building this past Sunday. Latasha was great signed me up fast. She explained everything to me and I got in on a great rate. She also let me run home and grab my own lock instead of buying one from her. She showed me a few units and it was fast and she had great customer service. The whole staff was great at this location.
I have one note and its for the DM of the property. I think you should be able to price match the locks you have to have. You can get them cheaper other places I think if you priced matched it would allow you to buy everything at one place.

They have increased the rent recently. I think my storage building rent increased 20 dollars a month. I pay almost 100 dollars up from 76.
Update on 5-24-24
They have increased the storage rentals up from 76 to 100 then 120 now it's 167 dollars for a small storage building. They are just increasing prices every year for no reason. There is other storage building half these prices.

I want to personally say thank you to Kim for going out of her way to write an email to rectify a situation on my behalf. It may have seemed like a simple thing, but it meant a great deal to me. I also want to commend Kim for how she treats her customers. It is rare to find someone who is kind and goes the extra mile these days. Each person thus far has done the same. THIS is the difference that sets apart one facility from the next. Recognizing and applying the Golden Rule, honoring your word and client experience actually meaning something. I have really enjoyed using the Public Storage at this location, as I have used PS at other locations and have found this location and staff to be very helpful and accommodating. The facility has always been clean, and well-lit. With the added features of having to use a personal passcode to get in and to use the elevator as well as the facility being completely monitored with cameras, I have always felt safe coming to my storage unit even when the office is closed at night. I would highly recommend this Public storage location and Kim for great customer service and storage needs.

After having a horrible experience at uhaul, I drove down to Public storage off 14th. Heather referred me to see Ms Kim the location off of K avenue as I needed a climate controlled unit. She walked me through setting up my unit, went through the whole process with me, showed me how to use the elevator, etc etc.
Literally one of the best customer service experiences. She literally made this so easy and assured me that my things are safe & I feel at ease knowing she works here!

I have been a customer for 10 years, at a site that now operates with a kiosk instead of a person. However, I have found the manager at the storied location a few blocks south to be the best manager, best go-to person, and the most help. Her name is Kim. All these positive reviews are true. She has helped me extensively over the past couple of years. She has helped me with accounting issues and saved me money. If it weren't for Kim, I would have moved out last year. Do Not rent from this location!!! Kim is very fake… She starts out nice to get the business, but once you have been there was a while, she shows NO interest or concern to help any more and she is also Very Rude and “ Short Temper “. She has been there for sooooo long that she thinks she owns the place! Many believe she should be fired and replace ! It’s time!!! Kim must Go! The facility has it problems… Mainly because it is run by Kim … This location need a new attitude and fresh face with a new manger to service the customers effectively, throughout the lease agreement. Staff are not available when needed, nor are dollies, which are supposed to be, and they have doubled my rental rate since Jan 2019. And despite claims of "climate controlled", it was well over 80 degrees in there the last time I was there...probably closer to 85.
I was told, as were others that day, that they do not have enough dollies available for use, that the office is not open regularly during business hours, and Tara (district mgr) was no help whatsoever. She did not even bother to go look at any of the entrances for a dolly. They overcharge and underdeliver, and they are rude and condescending.
Kimberly was very helpful and made the sign up process super easy. The space is very clean and well lit.
We have had the best experience at this location thus far, and we have Kim to thank for! She has always been so helpful and truly cares about her customers. Consistency is key and Kim is killing it! Great follow ups with all inquiries and very personable. I know I will be a long time customer here. Thank you Kim!

Pros:
-great app to open gate, doors, & elevator—especially for the Texas summer!
-elevators have been fixed for a few months now
-They bought ~4+ new large carts (for two of
the side entrances I use): those really make moving in/out a LOT quicker, and having so many helps others are there
-clean, climate controlled, several options of sizes
-easy access a block off I-75/North Central Expressway
-Pay for their $25 lock: it’s more secure than the cheap 2 for $20 ones I got at W-mart
Cons:
-I don’t recommend using the south entrance from Ave K (the one right by the side gate): the concrete ramps up & then down, threatening to scrap your underbody. Use either of the two entrances to the front parking lot just north of it and just drive to the gate. (That also gives you safe time to pull your phone out, start the app, and be ready to open the gate when you get to it.). (Just watch for walkers from the retirement home next door: they like to walk in building’s shade in the morning.)
-Hope he elevators don’t go out again (maybe just pandemic supply chain delays?)
-Be a good tenant and out the carts back in the inside entrances when you’re done with them, please?
Kim was very helpful in moving my unit to a smaller unit. Saved about 50% on all that extra space I wasn't using, and they can rent out my old unit for 20% more than I was paying for it haha. Thank you for your help Kim!
This location has THE BEST people. Kim, the manager, and her staff are extremely professional and thoughtful. I have a long list of things she has done to help The Campus of Care Global Healthcare Corporation. But yesterday, Kim helped us tremendously.
We left a pole with wheels outside our storage unit and she thought quickly. Instead of tossing it out, she held it in the office thinking that it belonged to us. She knows her clients and we appreciate that.
Our research institute supports women and children, and the units are used to house diapers, wipes, formula, sanitary products and medical supplies. In this pandemic our work has proven to be most necessary. Kim saved us from having to order a new leg for the steel shelves. Thanks Kim for a job well done.

Much lower price! Needs lighting in 10x20's. I originally thought this PS location went up $170/mo. My mistake. The PS on Audelia went up $170/mo. We moved out of that new shocking price increase. People are getting pushed around lately by rude rent gouging. Not the "America" we want. Disrespectful. Bring your own 4-wheel cart, & your own 2-wheel hand truck. These are often stolen from PS, so...2200 K Ave is nice.
Someone stole all of the dollies that public storage provides for moving. They have not replaced it and is extremely inconvenient. I'm paying way too much for storage space that has no way to move.
My day begin with an eviction so the day was going by fast at all... However I was very happy to get my things in storage....the process was very fast and simple with Kim help... Great Customer service.
