West Seattle Storage Units Near West Seattle Bridge
Public Storage in West Seattle is an easily accessible self storage facility located on Avalon Way just south of the West Seattle Bridge.

For two years , I took care of my friends storage unit here who lives out of town – I was in there again today, and Amy helped me and has always been helpful professional accommodating and a clear communicator. Only used this location less than a year but it was a good experience. We started with a 5x10 unit and downsizing to a 5x5 was super easy. The building was super clean, well lit, and climate controlled well. Amy at the front desk was super helpful, friendly and returned calls promptly. I'd store at this facility again and would recommend it.

For the past two years I rented a unit at this facility. I chose it because it was convenient and clean and provided safe, in-building parking. The staff (Pascal and Amy) have been there the entire two year period. They are knowledgeable, reliable, hard working and always helpful. I am relocating to another part of the state and having a tough time finding a storage facility that comes close to this one.

I had all my stuff in a moving truck & was outside of the facility & the door broke with no way to access my unit at all. They charged me anyways even though I was unable to use the unit at all. Poorly ran.
2 rent increases in less than a year. Ridiculous. Apparently a lot of storage places do this. started at $145, now its going up to $225. Buyer beware.

The facility itself is clean, but a little run down. We had no security issues, but the garage door & one of the elevators were not working the entire time we were there.

I’ve had storage units here since 2019. My 5 stars is my review of Pascale and Amy who provide great customer service and management. They’re friendly, thorough and do their best within the boundaries of their job. Honestly they are why I am still there because unfortunately since 2019 I’ve had rent increases twice a year in the 30% range each time. Beyond any inflation figures. I’ve had to downsize my unit considerably because of these unreasonable increases. After scouting other storage facilities, some that are brand new nearby I realized how much more expensive Public Storage is. I recommend to anyone that they read the fine print on rent increases. If it says periodic they can do it whenever they want. Find a place with an annual increase only, and they’re out there. Of course, it’s a pain to move, but Amy was able to contact upper management and maintain my current rate for three months more. Short term solution but I sure appreciate Amy and Pascale doing their best for me.

I loaded up my vehicle to drop some items off over at this location tonight.
1. I was never informed that the front gate was non-operable for what appears via reviews for over 2 months now?
2. You leave the storage units freely accessible via the exit door during operating hours?
3. You have not changed your hours to reflect your broken front door.
Nevertheless, I cancelled and went with a different solution.
Just be honest with your customers prior to them signing up with you, save both parties money and time.

The staff on site were very helpful but the place is not secure or well maintained. My son rented a small storage unit to store his stuff in between apartment moves. The main secure garage door was broken the entire time we were there so they left the exit door open during business hours. My son's unit was broken into, but luckily management noticed odd behavior of person walking around the building and chased them away. He recovered all of his stuff in the hallway outside of his unit. The unit next to his was also broken into at the same time. Next weekend when he moved his stuff out there was another large unit that had it's door ripped off by a car. In addition, only one elevator worked due to other maintenance issues. This place has lax security and poor maintenance. I've used public storage multiple times over the years in other areas and never had an issue. Stay away from the west seattle location until they fix their security and maintenance issues.

Things break down and never get fixed. Inner elevator broke over half a year ago, still not fixed. Now the door isn’t working. What’s next? Then they’ll raise your rates as if they deserve more money. Pretty sure they are buying reviews now as well. Just go elsewhere.

Entrance door has been broken for over a month, and no schedule for fixing it. That means access is only available during office hours, not the promised access hours that are still shown on the website. Now there are a few paper signs posted inside, but no way to know the hours are limited until you get in there. Manager yelled at me when I tried to ask about it.
(And don't even try to talk to a person through their website or phone. You'll just get frustrated.)

The place is great, but prices just go up and up. Ended up leaving for Life Storage and cutting my prices in 1/2 while basically getting the same thing. YMMV.

This place is really nice. Very clean. Obviously well run. The manager, Valarie, was very nice and professional. There is really good access and a large freight elevator to get to the upper floors.
Update: well here it is 9 years later and I'm moving out the last of my stuff. Nothing has changed as far as the quality of this place. The new manager Pascale is wonderful.

Do not rent from them! We moved some things in last year and within 6 months they raised the rate by 50% and just last month raised it again to double what it was when we started. They know they have us trapped as it is a hassle to move things in and out so best not to bother with this company.

We had a unit here a little over a year ago (I just forgot to write a review) they raised our rent $150 after 4 months with no warning.
We moved to this facility from another and received great service, their prices here are much more reasonable. The last facility, only two blocks away from this one up-charged us nearly a hundred dollars more monthly within 4 months of our new contact. Both Amy and Pascal were incredibly helpful.

Avalon location is well maintained and feels safe. Amy in office is great. Helpful, knowledgable, thorough, and very communicative.

I have rented a big storage unit for 3 years and I ve never had issues. I loved to see Pascal every time I drove there. The building can be empty, but she is there and will show up to your unit and greet you, if she has time. Thank you so much for assisting me every time I needed.
During Summer I met John; he is very competent and gave me great suggestions about prices of the units.

Most storage unit companies aren't known for their customer service but the property manager, Pascale, at the Avalon location in West Seattle goes above and beyond. She is so friendly and she truly goes the extra mile for her customers. She is quick to respond when contacted and is always available if you need anything with a smile on her face. Anyone trying to decide between the many storage companies and locations out there won't be disappointed.
My expierence at the Avalon Way location was very pleasant. The lady with the accent was very nice and professional. (I wish I knew her name.) She explained everything in detail and she called me immediately to let me know somethings about my reservation that was different then what I was told through the reservation line.

I was lucky to have Amy assisting me when I was looking to downgrade my locker. She took the time to walk all over the building to find me the perfect locker close to the elevator and with a easy rolling shutter. She also got me a good deal. Very helpful!
Amy helped me transfer to a new space in the building and really went above and beyond to make it simple and painless, including loaning me a lock for the second unit while I moved it. Make sure to stop by the office because they're really friendly here and will answer any questions you have!

Thank You ! Amy and Pascal, in helping to speed up the power of authorization process, which enabled me to act on behalf of Paul(currently bedridden) and access his storage areas. Their oversight with the logistics( lock removal, movers) helped me vacate the storage areas in 2 days and meet the dateline.
