I could not give enough stars to the employees. They were so incredibly kind, understanding and helpful during the process of me trying to find a unit that would be large enough for my needs. It took days of back and forth on the phone with them and every phone call was a pleasure. Huge thank you's to Ian, Kim and Alana for your patience. You all went above and beyond my expectations. Ian went to a second location just to take measurements for me. Alana waited on hold while I made other calls to get information and Kim waited for several minutes while I tried numerous times to submit my payment that I still could not get through online. Customer service with the Public Storage locations at Cooper Point Rd and Black Lake Blvd is 100% the best I've ever experienced. You guys are amazing and I can not say how much I appreciate you all. I reserved a unit for $80/ month. When I arrived they said they had given the unit away and only had bigger ones. I told them I can’t afford it and would go somewhere else. They apologized and said they would upgrade me for the same price. When my first bill came it was $158! And all subsequent ones.
After several months and a lot of reaching out to different staff memebers a manager finally contacted me. I was very happy with his service and he was able to refund the extra money I spent. Though it took a little more time and energy to finally speak with a manager than it should have, I am very grateful and happy that they took care and kept to their initial words on pricing.
I have been a customer at this location for about a year and a half. If I have a question or comment about my rental, I know I can always call Ian and get the matter resolved expediently.
The storage units at Cooper Point Road provide reliable security, and the onsite staff, particularly Ian, are incredibly supportive. When I raised a concern about unauthorized access, Ian promptly took action to enhance security measures, ensuring a safe environment for customers. The manager Ian has been super helpful on multiple occasions. He was a life saver my last visit when I was attempting to move a massive kayak into my unit alone and he helped me get it in. Also its a pretty nice storage with reasonable rates for Olympia 😊

Rent is now almost doubled for the same unit I moved in on at writing this. I never missed a payment, and have been consistent to date. I asked for a rent adjustment to come down on price and got one. Two months later took it away and put me at the now almost 2x amount I started at. I looked they have the same unit size at half my price available.... But need me a current customer to pay double... Short term storage is good, long term look elsewhere for a better and more consistent deal.
Staff is very congenial, willing to answer and explain my endless questions and concerns .
I have no complaints, would recommend Public Storage to anyone who is looking for some safe place to store their 'overage' at home.

Great customer service, clean facility, easy to find unit numbers and easy to pull a trailer around in.
Rented a 12x30 unit from August 2022 until end of January 2023. Service was great overall with an off-site onboarding and zero engagement with local staff. That said paying $428 a month is rough and they were going to raise the rate to $533 in Feb 2023. They were doing some exterior painting the day we moved in that caused some issue but all good. Access was always easy with the app but happy when we found our place in December and started moving out slowly.
Not so happy when the majority of our boxes were filled with mouse droppings and nests, despite no food items. We literally loaded up our home in Chicago in July and moved it to the moving truck that we drove and moved the items ourselves into the unit. Pretty sure we didn't pack up any mice.
This place has a serious mouse problem with mouse dropping on paper files, clothes, everywhere. Then in January (as we were preparing to move out) they raise our rent to $533 per month which was a 24.5% increase PER MONTH. No thank you.
Spend the money you spent on painting on mice removal, otherwise, you can keep your mouse infested units and let someone else get fleeced but beware. Cheers!
We are extremely pleased with the storage service at this West Olympia location. Mainly because of their Business Office, Excellent customer service and professionalism from this sites Office Manager, Kim.
Although there are other Public Storage Locations available in Olympia area as well, It has been so reassuring that no matter what our emergent storage needs have been or are or which site you may have business with, Kim has always been readily available to us and to other customers and made sure we were taken care properly and timely, It is certainly a relief in today's world. Thank You!

Employee: Ian has excellent customer service skills! And, I must say, That in these days of: self check out, recorded voice messaging, kiosks & lack of personal interaction… I truly appreciated the “in person” approach & to see an actual friendly face of this company. Never really had an issue with storing my stuff here. Super easy to set up and end never had to deal with a person. Beware of this being long term storage though. I am sure it's probably a corporate thing but Public will continue to raise your rates while still offering the lower rates to new customers. Ended up trashing a bunch of my stuff just to get out before I got increased on again. Then they sent me an automated email for 10% off for 6 months when I went in to submit my cancellation online. Pretty shady if you ask me.
They just upped my rent from 163 to 200 unacceptable thats ridiculous jump when You've been there 11 damn yrs sad
I would have just left a voicemail but their phone doesn't have the option to. It is extremely inconsiderate to your neighbors how you have the loud, obnoxious alarm blasting ALL NIGHT EVERY NIGHT "you are in a restricted area, the police have been notified, leave immediately" repeating OVER AND OVER AND OVER. It keeps us awake, and for no reason because the cops never even come!! CAN YOU STOP PLEASE so I can sleep??????

This is the most inconsiderate business to live around. They have their maintenance crew working LOUDLY from before 8am even on weekends. They don't care what kind of customers they have as they throw trash and make noise at all hours. I wouldn't trust my stuff there
