Even though my storage unit is located at an unmanned location right down the street from Josie's location, she gave me a call within my first month of renting my unit to ask if there was anything I needed and if I was pleased with my storage unit. Good customer service these days seem harder and harder to find, and GREAT customer service like Josie provided is even more challenging! What's impossible to find today is happy, pleasant and efficient service, however here you'll find it with Josie! She's just awesome! I have 2 units in this facility, one in the Newport News facility and another in South Florida, by far this is the best most personalized service you can get. Josie recognizes and remembers me whenever she sees me. She's ALWAYS pleasant even when it's about to storm and she's cleaning units :)...so refreshing to have this level of professionalism and service. I'd recommend 100%!

Everyone that works at the facility is super friendly and great most of the time. Except for when I moved out and nobody was kind enough to tell me that even after I had only stayed there for four days that I would not be receiving a refund for my rent. Total scam artist and I am very upset after I never missed a payment. And I was very understanding when rats came and destroyed all of my stuff. This place is disgusting and they don’t care about you

I’ve had need to use storage services many times over the past 10 years after moving to VA to be with my ailing mother and ultimately to lay her beautiful soul to rest and settle her estate. As I conclude my time in VA and move back to my home state, I will say that my experience with this Public Storage has been extraordinarily exceptional to all my other storage experiences. I was able to secure a spot with no hassles. The gate access worked perfectly and the space was clean and well lit. The billing process worked seamlessly and the pricing was fair. On move out, I met Josie, the location manager, and she was really wonderful. She provided clear instructions about what needed to be done to close out of my unit and it took no time at all to take care of everything. But beyond how helpful and competent she was, Josie was super pleasant and kind. Having a service professional show you, the customer, kindness and respect is what makes for a good experience with any business. Thank you, Public Storage! Please tell Josie how much I appreciate how helpful and nice she was during my stay.

I will NEVER forget that this location stole items from my storage unit. My basement floods (fall/winter) so I chose to store items here. I had quite a few sentimental items of my deceased son which were stolen. Valuable may I add. The manager at the time actually had the AUDACITY to cry when I confronted her AND called the police to report. My lock was cut and storage was foraged (in a way that I knew it was a woman). The officer on the scene said he could read the employee body language and knew that she was lying. She pretended to review the camera (and I wouldn’t be surprised if footage was erased)and acted as if some thief jumped the fence and “broke into MY unit”???????????? Why are the cameras available ma’am 👀 Run run run run run. I’ve told as many customers that are willing to listen. I finally had the time/capacity to relocate my remaining items to a different location. Employees are theives.

Their phone representatives are fantastic the property is garbage. The monthly payment has gone up 200 dollars in the last year and the squirrels are still destroying my stuff and when I throw my ruined items in the dumpster on the property I'm told I'm not allowed to dump.....in a dumpster even though it's called a "dumpster" the incompetence is exhausting. Can't wait to get what's left of my stuff out and never see this place again.

I took advantage of a promo at the Hayden Road location. Upon my arrival for check-in it was obvious that the unit that was confirmed did not match the measurements or the location that was indicated in my email Virtual assistant at the property attempted to assist us to no avail. I was ready to give up - take the truckload I was ready to store back home and search for a new storage company I was that frustrated! Last ditch effort, my husband called and reached Josie at the diamond Springs location. After a short trip down the block to visit Josie, she transferred the wrong unit to one that suited our needs and she saved the day! (And this customer)! Had it not been for Josie that day? I certainly would not be a public storage customer today! Thanks for all you do Josie to keep satisfied customers!!

I came in today with an issue and Josie fixed my problem right away! She was the best. Took a stressful situation and made it easy as pie! Moving is stressful and I want to thank her for her professionalism and attitude!

I called to reserve my storage unit and told the man all that I had and what size would he recommend, once I got to the storage it was too small and it was past 5, Ms Josie had already got off and was finishing her day and instead of just telling me to wait till morning bday she clocked back in and helped me out change my storage and made sure I was okay, moving is so stressful and nothing has been working out for me since I started, but she changed my outcome for that day and I’m so happy she was able to help me, definitely recommend this location. First, I would like to thank this Public Storage! Not only did they help me secure a unit, but the manager was extremely informative about the app, and she even helped me download it! Josie, I believe was her name, is an asset to this company! She was friendly, walked me through the auto-pay, and told me that they had boxes for me to purchase. I LOVED the new camera system that they have installed, and every angle of the property is covered! If you need a storage unit, look NO further for Josie is the kindest, most helpful person to call and get the best unit for your belongings! I would give Josie higher than 5 stars, but unfortunately, it only offers 5! Stopped there a few minutes ago to inquire about renting a space. The girl working was very sullen and rude. She didn't know anything about the sizes and the only thing she could tell me about prices is that they change every day. WHAT!!!!! If this is how you treat customers then thanks but no thanks. I'll go somewhere where they have manners!!

Im currently in the military and overseas.The people here helped me out a great deal and stayed in contact with me and helped me with every possible issue that came up. I would definitely use their service's again and would recommend anyone whose in need of storage to highly consider them.

Affordable and they had something available when I needed it. Was able to do everything online but when I interacted with a staff as I finish out my contract they were very friendly and helpful.

How do expect to charge full price and dont have working lights in ac units?

My husband and I rented online which we never do but we need a space fast that was inexpensive. The online process was super quick to complete and with the company sending an email with all of our information it felt more secure. We got there early today and Josie was so helpful. She left a lock in our unit so when we got there we didn't have to worry about anything. Our space was clean and much bigger than we expected and for the price it was perfect. We've rented at other storage facilities and they all sucked so this being such a breeze was a nice feeling. Josie needs a raise for her hardwork.

My move in experience was excellent. The property manager walked me through all the steps I needed being my first time renting at public storage. However, My move out experience was like moving in except, the property manager yet again whent to great lengths to help. Ms Jose, the property manager, inspite of experiencing some unfortunate sicumstance, at the time of my moving out, with her mother having suffered a stroke the day I was moving out and was not able to accept calls, eventually got back to me to answer my questions and help me move out of my storage. Ms Jose is definatelly an extraordinary person. Thank you Jose!

This place is a ripoff every year the rate climbs. The first year it was 120 bucks a month. After 4 years we are now over 300 a month. They take advantage of long term rentals with rate increases. While offer deep discounts to new customers. The same unit I rent is 189 dollars if you are a new customer. But 312 for a customer who has been in the unit for over fours years. I have also never missed a payment or been late. So if you can avoid renting a unit do yourself a favor and do that.
