Greenwell Rd Virginia Beach. I had rat feces all throughout my unit 0009 after the ceiling caved in on all my personal belongings and they wouldn’t help nor refund anything except let me move to another unit.

Moving from another storage company across the city, chose this Public Storage based on all of the reviews of Mrs. Geo and the staff. Moved in yesterday and the reviews did not disappoint. Staff was very friendly and helpful over what you typically would expect. Unit was very clean and move-in ready. Ran into Mrs. Geo this morning as she was walking the property, immediately meeting her is very pleasant and full of joy, you can tell they take care of this property and space.
Two helpful notes for future renters, unlocking the gate via app can be a little buggy and gate code is not under access code for whatever reason. Not a concern, but since we were moving in for the first time after hours make sure you keep the access code they send via text or look under setting in the app under "Storage Information". You need it to get in AND out. The other note, if you rent online and plan on brining a trailer, recommend scoping the location out before bringing your trailer. Our unit was in the back where there isn't really room to turn around and could be challenging for some pulling a trailer. Again, not an issue at all, just a helpful tip for planning! If you're like I was and on the fence, don't hesitate, this place lives up the expectations and more!

Made two trips to purchase packing supplies at 10 am and 10:30 am. There was no employee to be found anywhere. Called customer service and they couldn't help. Since I cannot get anyone on the phone that can help, went by a third time, still no one on the office. Is the worker ok?

She told me about supplies on sale and even helped bring the supplies out to my car as I had two young children in tow. The complex is convenient and accessible. Rented a unit for $183 in April 2023. Fast forward 5 months, and they've jacked my rent up to $239/month. That's more than a 30% increase in less than 6 months. RIP OFF!

Public storage raises the rent every time they get the chance. I have been a customer fort 13 years, and started this unit at $85 month, stuck in the far back of the storage facility, surrounded by buses, trucks, boats, RVs or anything they can squeeze in a space. Often it blocks one of my entrances/exits so it is quite inconvenient. They have done NOTHING to improve the property, and the gate is often broken/left open which is not safe, and it stays that way for months at a time. Yet they keep raising the rent now they want $185 for same unit I have been renting for years.
I would like to say that Geo has always provided me with excellent customer service. She is friendly and helpful always! Otherwise Public Storage STINKS!

Paid for an air conditioned unit ($125/mo I might add for a 4x10). I arrived on July 5th to put my stuff inside the unit and noticed it was EXTREMELY hot inside. No difference between outside and inside. I let the very sweet gal up front know so we walked over together and turned the air on. She explained to me that they torn the air off at night so it doesn't freeze. Yeah, okay.... I told her I wasgoing to come back in a few days to see if it's actually cool. Here I amon July 9th with 1 more load of items and it's STILL 85 degrees inside this building. NOT "air conditioned" AT ALL!! They are ripping people off because they know most of us don't drop by to check. We'll, I for one don't like my money stolen. I'll be back tomorrow (Monday) for a full refund and will vacate the premises.
UPDATE: 7/21/23 The units AC is still not on a a reading 85 degrees inside. Paying for air conditioning, yet not receiving air conditioning. 😒 even AFTER their response to my review. Disheartening to say the least.

I’ve have worked in customer service for years but I just want to say Geo the property manager here at public storage is the most amazing person I’ve ever had pleasure of meeting . She went over and beyond to help me rent my first storage . I didn’t wake up this morning expecting to have to rent a storage unit , it wasn’t until about 5pm that I showed up to public storage in a panic but Geo actually cared to help me , genuinely. She is one in a million and I just wanted to express how much I appreciated her today . Also the property is so clean , the units look brand new , I would recommend this location 1000 times over . Best storage place I’ve used in Virginia! Highly recommend. I have multiple units throughout the state due to business and personal needs. This one is by far the best when it comes to cleanliness, safety, access, and customer service. Especially Geo! In the last year or two I’ve only needed to contact customer service once or twice to update my billing or other simple matters. Geo has always been responsive, super helpful, and goes out of her way to assist. If you’re looking for a reputable place to store your valuables or junk, look no further.

The manager at this Public Storage, Geo, is great. She noticed that the lock on my unit was too small and she wanted to make sure it was secure. After calling me to discuss, she put another lock on it until I could get there to change it. She’s always looking out for her clients.

I've had a really good experience thanks to Geo at the Greenwell Road Public Storage in Virginia Beach. She walked me to the unit so I could see before signing up. Then she set me up with the Public storage App so I could get in and out using my phone. I'm selling home and needed to declutter so I got a large storage unit. Then with closing date looming, I realized I needed more space so I came back to get another unit and she was just as helpful the second time.
