This place has sewer rats. I have had to throw a lot of furniture and clothes away do to the sewer rats. I was told from the manager a few months ago that they couldn't do anything about the sewer rats. I am in the process of looking for another storage facility. Starred off with 2 storage units there, downsize to 1. That's how much I had to throw away. Soon I will be moving my stuff out. On the other hand, staff was great. No complaints about the staff.

This review is not for Public Storage in general, as their customer service at headquarters and corporate policies are abysmal, but for the assistance we received from one employee at this site named Danielle, who was very helpful when our catalytic converter was stolen in their (very insecure) Chesterfield site. The local staff we encountered in Richmond were all courteous, but you can expect the worst customer service experience of your life from the headquarters of Public Storage.

CROOKS, DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. They raise your rent substantially every few months and use the legal clause "rates may change" to get away with it. My rent started at 113.00 and after 3 months went up to 140.00, after another 6 months it went up to 163.00. There are numerous reviews of this happening to other people which means it is their policy to raise everyone's rent every chance they get. I will never rent from these crooks again.
