Bad service and expensive

I went in to get a storage unit and I was greeted by the property manager Jeslyn. I was very impressed with her as she explained everything to me in depth and left no questions for me to ask. The property was very well maintained and it was overall a great experience with great customer service!
NEVER, EVER CONSIDER RENTING HERE. First of all, don't believe any of the recommendations calling out staff for great customer service as this is not a staffed location. They are all fake reviews. After reserving a unit we showed up with a moving truck only to find out the gate system was out of order. After 45 minutes on the phone, only reaching a person after 20 minutes their call center concluded they could do nothing and no person was available to come to the location and fix the entry. We were then faced with a moving truck and crew being paid by the hour with no where to deliver our goods. After finally receiving a call back from a manager of another location later that day we were finally told that the system there had gone down in an electrical storm 48 hours prior but they had done nothing to alert renters of the outage. We were not the only ones affected that day as a line of people and trucks were lined up outside the facility also locked out. To say that this location was inadequate is not harsh enough. This is management and a team that does not care and only wants to collect rent. We were surprised at the rental rate given the other options in the area but now understand why. In this case you do not even get what you pay for!

Today l rented a unit at Public Storage in Herndon. The sales agents name was Kaylea.
Kaylea was 100% professional and super sweet. The place was immaculate!!! The entire process was very smooth and extremely fast. She explained all the details, walked me to view the unit and even convinced me to purchase the insurance for the unit which l feel was a wise decision.
Based on my experience today.
I would definitely recommend this Public Storage to friends and family as well as anyone who is looking to find storage. I would like to say thank you to Public Storage for allowing me to have such a unique experience by providing such and excellent sales agent!

Kayleigh was amazing, super helpful and got me what I needed in a timely fashion.
I wanted to make sure kaylea got the credit she deserves. We had a difficult experience booking a room over the website. It claimed it was a 1st floor but when we got to the unit it was on the 2nd. Kaylea helped us out by quickly finding us a unit on the 1st floor and was able to refund the lock fee when we bothered her during her break. In addition, the unit was clean and easy to access.
I’m giving this place a 5 star review for the amazing customer services of Kaylea, the cleanliness of this site!
The nicest front desk I've had in a while
Rented a storage outside and did not like the space. I spoke with Barry same day as renting, and I just wanted a refund. Barry and Mia were kind enough to find me a space inside and transfer all of the paperwork! I was worried I was going to have to find another location but I didn't have to! 5 star service!

We rented a space over the phone, and PAID, only to show up and be told someone already had it and they couldn't do anything. Staff doesn't seem to do their job at all.

Crystal at Centerville is very arrogant and provides pathetic customer service, highly not recommended.. the place is not manned and I had to keep visiting them as no one answered the phone or was at the desk

If I could give 0 stars I would. I've been trying to access a very expensive interior unit that I rent for WEEKS but lost a key. I'm currently and very unfortunately renting multiple units. I cannot ever find anyone working nor does anyone answer the phone. IT'S INSANE. I'm livid. They also have a HORRIBLE corporate customer service so there's absolutely no way to find an employee or manager to assist with anything...ever. The whole company is trash and will never get my business again. I will be sure to let anyone and everyone know of my experience. Please RUN, don't walk, in a direction of literally ANY other storage company for your storage needs.

I had a really great customer service experience here! The manager, Crystal, was friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean. All these things made me feel comfortable storing my belongings here.
I was impressed with the facility and the manager at the site Crystal(?) I think was her name was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, my buddy already found a space someplace else. If I needed a spot to store things this would be the place.
I was actually so impressed that I ended up renting a space from the location and Crystal was super friendly about helping me again.
Crystal was great, I was able to reserve my storage unit and was out in 15 minutes.
Crystal was excellent in her approach and displayed a very inviting disposition! I tried visiting a few locations prior to visiting this Herndon location; the one prior to this one, was really a turn-off, as the sign said they would be there at 2:30pm and it was now 3:00pm. Once I finally caught up with the person after calling the National phone line- her response was, “sorry, but I’m not there”. Well, I’m sorry they didn’t get my business and glad she wasn’t! Because Crystal at the Herndon Centerville location is the greatest!
Recently, I rented a unit at this location and couldn't have had a better experience with Crystal at the front desk. She answered all of my questions and helped me find the unit that was the right size for my family. This Public Storage location is very clean and easy to get in and out of as it's right on Centreville Road.
Our experience in Herndon 20171 public storage was great because of Crystal Thomas. She made all points clear and well prepared for all the concerns we had.

Happy to recommend this place. After renting here for a while, I just upgraded to a larger unit and Crystal at the front desk helped make it a seamless transition. She got me a great deal on a bigger unit. From all of my interactions here, I’ve always received courteous and helpful service.
This particular location is a little far from me, but it’s cheaper than some other storage places in the area and there’s a gas station near it with super cheap gas. The area feels safe.
RAM was extremely helpful when I visited this morning with a issue on my unit and he immediately resolved it

Our business has used this storage facility for many years and we've always had an exceptional experience! This location hands down has the friendliest and most accommodating staff. Crystal goes above and beyond in providing top notch customer service.
We are moving paper files from our office and chose Public Storage off of Centreville road. The facility is clean, well lit, and easy to access. What stands out as exemplary at this particular location is the customer service. On our first day moving boxes, Crystal came over to introduce herself and see if we needed anything or had questions about the space. While the facility is in great condition the biggest pleasure with storing at this location is Crystal's friendly and personable customer service. We have a unit with U Haul down 50 and believe me when I say their customer service team can't hold a candle to the one here.
This location was in the middle of some much needed renovating as I was moving out so I’m trying to account for that as I write the review. This place has some great rent special rates however after 4 months be prepared to have your rate increase a significant amount. A lot of the outside 10 x 20 units are really dated. They are often dusty and dirty and full of spiders. The thing I didn’t care for the most were the walls in the unit that were made really thin dry wall that was almost as thin as cardboard. One day I opened my unit to find a portion of the wall in my unit slowly starting to give because the neighboring unit had too much stuff in their unit. I put in a repair request that took a month and a half to get fixed due to employees (I won’t say any names) giving me the run around. When my wife attempted to get the ball rolling on the repair while I was away they were nothing but rude to her and told her that I never submitted a request and had no spare key which was magically found along with the work order form when I threatened to show up to the office and play the video of an employee telling me that the repair would be done the next week. The repair job done was a cheap hack job as shown in pictures. Moving out wasn’t too bad but they did misplace my spare key to my lock however an employee by the name of Emad worked relentlessly to find my spare key to my lock and made the move out process easy. If anything ask for Emad if you want to get anything done. He’s a great employee and all around guy!
