I was not aware of the rate changes. Twice in one year and the price has gone up almost $100. They don’t work with you on the upcharge and there is no way of knowing how much they will decide to add. This is not realistic or affordable. I’m in the process of moving my things as I can’t do $300 for a 10x15 unit.

Had to store my BMW for a couple months during a PCS. I set up the app and it was extremely easy to use. My only issue was they claimed and advertised the first month was free but it wasn't. I was charged $430 for around 70 days for a 10x20 unit.

When I first needed a storage the customer service rep was very knowledgeable and super sweet she went beyond to help me get clarity I’m sorry I can’t remember her name a few weeks later I had some questions and I was supposed to get a refund for lock which I never received I called up Ms. Susan was very nice about it went out of her way to get me answers and kept her word she called me back and resolved my issues with no problems the customer service at this location and Pembroke is truly one of a kind they all displayed compassion and great communication skills and willing to help and educate customers I would recommend over and over

Got a great deal on a climate controlled unit for their labor day sale. Paid for everything online and when I got to my unit I had some difficulty opening the door. I called and spoke to Susan. She took the extra time to swing by my unit even though she was at a different location, fixed my door and then hung around until I got there to make sure I could open it and I was good. All of this happened within 1-2 hours of me calling. Hands down the nicest and sweetest lady that will go above and beyond. Glad I rented with them!

My experience was so easy I did everything online my access code was sent right away after payment my lock was in the storage as stated. February 3 was a very stressful day for me and my daughter! All the emotions from moving out of our childhood home and the downsizing that came with it was more than I could beer when I came to check in at the Public Storage here heading to Poquoson. I believe she was training. Another young worker, and at the same time she was multitasking and not making me feel rushed. She was going to let me look at the lockers storage and size before I ever even got it. The customer service went beyond expectation when she Went into her own pocket to let me borrow the taxes for the Storage. I had tapped out from moving expenses and everything else. At that point she did not make me feel less then for not being prepared This woman was doing a great job relating to me, and it meant a lot this particular day. I did not even catch her name. I believe she was the Store manager, but I told myself that I was going to take the time and write a review on her even though it has taken me well over a week lol she also made Me smile taking the time to show me all the details of the app and then telling my daughter that she needs to put it on her phone too and she showed us the tricks To the latch. I’m going to get her name please hold. Distressed from move public storage from Hampton, was my breath of air🙏

I am not normally to write reviews, but I will be the first to read them. Lately, I have been reading reviews on every company for moving/storage because I have had a pretty terrible experience since I moved here from San Antonio, TX.
For starters, I am active duty military service member who was in DESPERATE need of a storage unit and immediate assistance. I looked online and found Public Storage on Armistead. This location was convenient, but of course I wanted to read the reviews. ALL OF THE NICE REVIEWS ABOUT SUSAN was 100% accurate. DO NOT believe anything else.
From the moment I walked in, I could tell Susan was who I read about because she was so sweet with the customer she was helping. When it was my turn, she asked me a few questions and looked up what she could find. While she was looking, she say that I was completely distraught and decided to take a moment to ask me if I was okay. She was attentive to my needs and assured me that she would do all she could to help. She even told me that if she could, she would hug me because she knew I was having a hard time. She was deliberate in explaining how the process would work when it came to obtaining what I needed. I was able to get the storage unit quickly and at an affordable price. She was detailed in explaining the payments along with the terms and conditions.
Because of her, I was able to put my mind at ease and get what I needed. If you are looking for a convenient storage unit near Langley AFB, this is the right place to go.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Not only will they not prorate a move out and charged us $296 for NINE DAYS, the move out was a contracted job with orders to CALIFORNIA and they absolutely refused to prorate the amount. They overcharge for their facility as well! Very poor facility conditions when you can definitely get an indoor unit cheaper at extra space storage to be exact, ALSO, extra space storage understands relocating and prorates even if you aren’t and just move out with notice. Just save yourself the time and money and go ANYWHERE else really! MILITARY BEWARE. Also the only thing done to “improve” was have her call my husband, confront him about the review and ask it to be removed.
I had an excellent experience at this location setting up the storage unit. Lady Krystal and Lady Susan service was beyond spectacular. Lady Susan was very thorough in her “up selling”. Being that I had all I needed and was in a rush. So much of a rush that I lost my wallet and realized that I had dropped it at the location. Called the young ladies and I could hear Lady Susan scream “here it is!”. Much appreciative of the ladies.

The virtual sign up and ease of ordering a space was simple and affordable. Additionally, the staff assisted me with the insurance questions without trying to muscle or upsell; just info and assistance. Highly recommend if you need storage space.

Wanted to reserve a unit didn't need it for a few weeks. Took the money right out of my bank. Then was going to take more the next day. I told them to cancel the reservation. They took 193 and gave back 143. For nothing they are crooks. Don't trust them.
