This is one of the best storage facilities around Errol was very helpful in facilitating my move.

This message is for owner of this facility, unfortunately I happened to visit this facility, November 18,2024 almost between 11 to 12.00 am ,I had a simple very easy question, are there any spaces or storage available so I can park my motorbike, person at front desk was not an ugly person, he had an ugly attitude,lac of professionalism, as I entered I smiled said him hello , how are you, while basically he was supposed to welcome me, but he had a long ugly face,he did not respond to my courtesy, and very disrepectfully in a negative way says no, while I had another question too, as I wanted a 20/20 storage unit for my lot of extra stuff to get accomodated, but after this person negative unprofessional behavior, I went to another storage facility and rented store there, so who is in loss you loose a customer a business just due to a rude, unprofessional person, I had no problem just in next 30 minutes I rented a big storage, so my suggestion to storage owner is hire some professional, trained person at customer service, not a Mafia boss who has no respect for customer. Please take care of your business atleast at this specific location have a professional person with manners who knows how to deal with customer, my bitter experience I would never ever enter in public storage facility again

Errol is the epitome of 5-star customer service. He always helps me and is extremely courteous. Public Storage Draper Drive is lucky to have him.

I tried to write a separate review for my latest interaction with this Public Storage site (#27189), but I only found a way to edit my earlier review. -------- 1/2024: Almost a year after the day I had help from Kaylea (see my review copied below), I had the opportunity to meet Errol, the new manager, and his assistant Reese. Both were very patient answering all my questions and helping me get the larger unit I needed. I am sure they answer the same questions for almost every customer, but both were professional and diplomatic in providing service and showing care about how I could meet my storage needs. I hope the company is able to offer promotions or at least bonuses when managers do such a wonderful job. Thank you Errol and Reese! --------------- Earlier review, circa 2/2023: What wonderful service I received yesterday at the Public Storage locarion at Draper Avenue in Fairfax, VA (#27189)! Kaylea was very professional and courteous in listening to what I needed and not only helped me meet my storage requirements, but also saved me time moving. She even opened the doors to let me in a minute or two before the scheduled opening time! I also have to mention that Jackie, the regular manager, is ALWAYS professional and courteous as well. The property is clean and nicely maintained, too. Their bosses should give them both a promotion/raise AND a bonus! Thanks again for the great service, and thanks for helping me start 2023 on the right foot. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. They practice the"bait-and-switch" method. I’ve had a unit for one year and the price increased twice and has increased more than $100 dollars in less than a year. I started out @ $268 for a 10x20, then it increased to $333 within a few months and is now at $387. They keep increasing the rate every few months. I plan to get rid of it as soon as I return to the States. They try to pacify you with the promise of a rate decrease but you get rejected within an hour. I guess paying the rent on time, having two units with the company gets you no benefits whatsoever. When I was renting, I spoke with two people who were moving to a new storage company due to the constant rate increases. This storage unit company is gouging people. Go with a company with a lease rate. Public Storage are month to month.

They changed ownership, and now they are ratcheting monthly rent up by 25% every six months. Don't let the introductory rate fool you! Only rent here if you can get a 5 year lease. They even jack up the rates on military stationed overseas!

This was my first time purchasing a storage unit. I started my application on line and had a few questions so I reached out to the store and I spoke with Errol. Errol was so informative and made me feel comfortable with my decision. I came into the store and Errol’s customer service was excellent. The customer service made a stressful day of moving better.

I'm updating my review from a 5 to a 2. Everything seemed great at the time of the rental. I found out later that they got my name wrong and the steps to fix it were a huge hassle. Additionally they doubled the price on me within a year, banking on my reluctance to move all my stuff. I was able to find an identical unit for 1/4 the price at a location nearby. 2 stars because my items did remain safe in their care.

Service was great. Jackie and Kaylee, public storage reps made rental process of the unit very smooth. Explained everything and in details.

The manager of this location is AMAZING! She really communicated well and worked with me while managing my space! Very good place.

Rented a space from this place and the door latch didn't work! I could not completely close the unit and put my lock on. Pathetic! So, I went to the office on the first floor (which was supposed to be open on Saturdays according to the website) but it was closed! No one was there! Unbelievable. I had to leave the unit only partially shut and hope no one steals my stuff. Stay away from this place, messed up doors and no on-site service.

PROS: New. Clean. Convenient. Well maintained property. Usually, there are plenty of carts available. CONS: Staff is marginal. Communication needs improvement. The app needs updating and debugging. I found out that PS at this location increases your storage rent every 3mos. Mine went up $67/mo in one lump sum after 3mo for one storage room. What?? I have rented from two other PS locations in the DMV as well as other storage facilities (indoor and outdoor) in other states. Same size rooms. Never were there such policies.

My buddy and I were there on July 5 and everything was quick and smooth the place is clean and well maintained just what do you expect from a storage space and a big shot out to their well trained staff 😀 like Jacqueline 👍 who assisted us that day before that big storm hit. us !!!!

Absolute lifesavers with very affordable rates, I was able to move inventory between locations seemlessly.

Clean, new, easy to access units. DO NOT LEAVE AT CLOSING TIME. Give yourself at least 5-10 minutes because that gate locks at 9PM sharp and the only way out is to call non-emergency help or jump the fence 😅

Kaylea is amazing!! I had booked and moved into my storage unit on the same day. I was locking up with the lock PS provides, and the key broke inside of it 😑 I asked Kaylea for some help but unfortunately she couldn't break the lock. She told me that the lock cutter only comes once a month and she had already come that morning! Kaylea said she'd try to get her district manager in sooner to cut the lock off for me so I could access my stuff, but it was a bummer to not know when that could be. Not even 5 minutes after I left though, Kaylea calls to tell me she reached out to her trainer and figured out how to get the lock off! I was overjoyed, and so thankful she thought of another solution to get me back into my unit! She really saved the day 😊😊❤️

This has been the best storage experience I’ve had. Jackie was extremely helpful getting the unit and access set up for my business, and the facilities are excellent. Plenty of large carts, automatic doors, good lighting, and easy open storage doors. Gate remains closed (unlike some competitors’) and access is easy. Can’t imagine anything they could do better.
