The elevators are a joke. You can spend 20 to 30 minutes. Just trying to get to your floor. Not worth it. I'd rather get a unit elsewhere.

Have been attempting to reach office regarding the elevator not working since we rented a space 9 days ago and are on the third floor. We had to carry what we had by hand up the stairs with the air conditioning out as well. So went by around 12 today to continue our move and elevators are still out of order and no one at the office it was locked up. It was easy to rent and is a good space I'll say that but no luck with reaching management regarding the issue. Didn't get a picture of the office locked up but if i return again and it is then I will post another review.

RENTERS BEWARE! Public storage is an absolute SCAM. They offer great starting prices and then continue to increase every few months until the unit is back to original price. I’ve been renting my unit at this location for 11 months and in that time my rent has gone from $107 to $184/ month while new customer deals are only paying $70/months for my same unit smh. Elevators have been broken for almost a month with ZERO sense of urgency to get them fix, but I’m not surprised because they have inspection cards that are crazy old. Office staff rarely answers the phone and will just tell you anything instead of genuinely saying they don’t know because they don’t. Climate controlled? Ha that’s a joke , sometimes it’s hotter in the storage than outside. So all in all I pay $184 to not be able to access my unit unless on the stairs when office staff is there in a semi- climate controlled space.
Update 8/29/24: District Manager reached out to me and rectified the situation.
I just recently rented a storage unit at your Vista Del Norte location in Texas. I had the pleasure of working with Monique, the manager of this location and she is exceptional!! She made everything so easy and is ALWAYS willing to help! Would highly recommend this location and Monique 100%!!

When I first arrived, they made sure that I was helped right away. They answered all the questions that I had respectfully/politely. I asked to see the units. They were quick to show me. Monthly rental has doubled in 2 years. You get a great deal to move in and then rates are raised beyond reason. Would not recommend Public Storage. There are more honest storage company's out there not trying to gouge you.
Monique was very helpful as well as professional. She answered all my questions. She even took the time to show me my options and actually left it up to me as to which unit I leased. She made sure my unique access code worked as well as going over the details of my contract. The office and the indoor hallways were spotless. There are no bad odors and clean floors. This left me thinking the property was well cared for. Most importantly, I am vision impaired, and she was very, very patient with me. I appreciate that.

I came back to load up my storage and noticed the parking lot was full and she was by herself at the time. She never lost her smile under that pressure and continued to give amazing service to each person, no matter how difficult! 10/10 would recommend this place!
Monique was freaking awesome. I couldn’t find my keys, no clue what it looked like because the core looked different, she helped me determine what it looked like and scheduled replacing the lock if I couldn’t find it. She discussed options for switching to a new larger unit, and I found the key!!!!! She will be helping me so I can move on to a larger unit this Saturday. Monique was professional, helpful, understanding, and has a great personality. So often face to face customer service is missing something at other companies but not here.Thanks Monique for being awesome.
Reserved a unit online that was listed as the first floor. I received the unit number and it said 2nd floor. I went in ready to get a refund and Monique helped me and let me know the 2nd floor actually is the first floor as the building is on a hill. There’s a loading dock in the back that acts as a first floor so there’s no elevator involved. Checked out my unit and the building is very clean and well lit.
Extra friendly and Morgana was especially helpful, she went beyond what great customer service should be!! Highly recommend Public Storage and the Vista del Norte location!!
This location stole money from our credit card on file 2 times .
The manager said it was refunded and that she didn't know why it was charged, but it WAS NOT. Refunded
So we moved out and got stuck coming off the elevator moving out that evening. And the manager wouldn't come let us back in our unit to get car keys and phone so we had to call police so police and fire Dept came to let us back in.
A huge shout out and thank you to Monique for assisting with the relocation of units. She made the transition smooth and easy.

Absolutely, this is a GREAT PLACE to rent storage from! I was skeptical about leaving my things in a storage but found this location to be be very secure and safe. Monica helped me get signed up quickly and made the process so easy. I really appreciated her wonderful customer assistant. I would highly recommend!!!
I dealt with Holly yesterday... horrible attitude, poor customer service. I canceled my unit on the spot after my interaction with her. Simply asking her if there were other units available closer to entry/exit was too much for her... she ignores me and walks away... me asking do I follow her, her poor attitude respose of "sure" is total lack of professionlism... you dont like doing your job, then quit! We get to the office, still she ignores me, doesnt say anything to me... looks at her computer. After a couple of minutes of silence... i tell her to cancel my reservation. Finally she says something, "you're all checked out." I cant say anything else about the facility as I didnt get to experience anything else but poor customer service. I was the only customer there and they had just opened... I can only imagine her attitude would be worse if she had a couple of customers at once. If you do choose this facility, be sure someone else other than Holly is working! Melissa sounded delightful on the phone... opposite of Holly.

This location gas the worst customer service. No one is ever at the front desk, I have tried calling customer service and I was placed on hold the 1sr time for 20 min. I called back and placed on gold for 44 min. No one can answer my questions or help me. Sorry, but I'm going with another company who has better service. I have cancelled my reservation.

The storage facility is well keep, secure and clean. I moved from a 10x15 unit into a larger 10x20 unit the next day because I needed more space.
I would say the only negative to renting a storage with multiple levels is you have to punch in your code to enter the building and punch in the code again to enter the elevator. Doesn’t seem like a difficult task but when you have to do it dozens of times as you offload your truck you’ll realize how arduous it is lol

Let me first start off by saying that I’ve been having the most terrible year - like a lot of us are- believe it or not some of us are seeing some good out of it. Unfortunately I’m one of the ones that have been the complete opposite. Having to move all your belongings into a place you know nothing about and worried about scams and contracts that try to trap you amongst just trying to figure this all out within just a couple of days is beyond stressful. From talking to Normani over the phone briefly and to stumbling in miserably to Jeannette meet me at the front door with a smile on her face was all I needed to feel safe and at ease about this place ! Jeanette went UP AND BEYOND from greeting me- accommodating me- showing me units & just being herself which is amazing down to really knowing how to communicate. She’s wise and understanding and she made me laugh even though laughing was probably the last thing on my mind. She went slowly over the each page of the contract - repeated herself multiple times so that I felt comfortable about the lease and made me copies of everything. Seriously ? You really don’t find customer service like that just anywhere-which sounds bad but it’s sadly the truth ! Anyways I’m excited to move my things in and am confident that this is a safe spot and storage company ! Oh also - month to month and no penalty to leave whenever you’re ready with some weeks notice of course- but TAHH how simple and easy?!

BUT I want to add in that MELISSA the property manager has went up and beyond for me when the transition happened and until this day. She just always is calm and willing to explain or help where she can. Me being out of state it can be difficult handling things with my storage but she always understands and helps where she can. Don't know why PUBLIC storage is leaving the grewt reviews for EXTRA SPACE STORAGE on their web page. As if taking credit for what extra space employees have achieved. Because I WILL CLEARLY STATE THAT WHEN PINLIC STORAGE TOOK OVER THIS LOCATION ON VISTA DEL NORTE THEIR OFFICE MGMT AS WELL AS CORPORATE COMPLETELY FAILED EVERY PART OF WHAT CUSTONER SERVICE STANDS FOR!!! THEY AUCTIONED 2 OF MY UNITS WITHOUT PROPER NOTIFICATION. RAISED MY RENT OVER $100 AND TOOK AWAY MY RIGHT AS A TENANT TO HAVE 24HR ACCESS WHICH WAS MY agreement with extra space. I WILL NEVER TRUST PUBLIC STORAGE WITH ANY OF MY VALUABLES NOT EVEN THE WASTE THAT COMES OUT OF MY BEHIND.

Elevators are in poor working condition. There were cockroaches in some units. The temperature controlled environment is not very well controlled, and the staff touched my daughters hair after picking up a dead cockroach. Not a good experience at all. I won't be using this facility again.
had the worst morning so far and already tried two storage units that were CRAZY expensive, was driving by public storage going onto wurzbach parkway and Melissa helped and made my day slot better for the time being. She not only explained everything perfectly so i could understand she also helped us chose our unit and even took the time to show us a few units till we found the right size. After we chose a unit she helped get us a great deal and even told us of a promotion going on that qualifies us. Thanks Melissa not only did u save my day you really helped us out greatly thank you for taking your time and helping us get the best deal. COME HERE GUYS I WONT REGRET IT 🤓😛💥🥰

Melissa was a great help in setting up my rental. She explained the terms of the agreement and showed me landmarks in the facility to help me find my storage room. She also helped a different person on a transfer and was considerate in getting their rooms close together without having the customer to ask.

Since the new owners our monthy payment hasn't been corrected. Bad customer service, no updates on there part. I'm having to call every week since Nov 2021
I had to go into the office at the new public storage. Melissa was a great help and took care of all my issues. It was a hassle free experience, and she showed me that they truly do value me as a customer. A lot times when a new company takes ownership of a business it can be a hassle getting everything switched over. Thanks to Melissa that did not happen, and I am glad I chose to stay with the new company.

Not satisfied at all! No one has called me back they switched over storages companies. Customer service is not like it was before left 3 messages not anyone called me back. They also tried to up my price without my knowledge. Very disappointed how iam being treated hopefully I get a call or explanation with what is going on with my unit. thank you
