I'm not to happy with the public storage on Chelico drive off of Military drive , first of all every one of my items my boxes everything got mouse eaten and infested . They went ahead and bumped up the rent without even letting us know at least four times I started off at maybe 60 maybe even 80 I'm at 200 maybe 250 now also they've made some changes without even letting us know what the locks and the codes after 9:00 they won't let you go back up so you can have your storage open and if you make the mistake of coming down without checking your watch it won't let you go back up then there's nobody on the property to fix it or help you also I was harassed more than once by to me it seemed like a cleaning lady followed me and my boyfriend all the way up then went and told us that we had to leave the door all the way open when there's no reason that she should have been following us at all we were minding our own business and we had just arrived and another time there was this one employee that came and pretended that she was opening up one of the units next to ours just to be a bug into spy which was not not very professional unfortunately I've had my stuff in there since 2021 salvation treat me with a little bit of courtesy because they've taken so much of my money but good thing is I'm getting my own apartment because we've been moving little by little to my boyfriend's but I didn't want to bring all the stuff over here so I'm going to be out of there and done with them and I do not recommend them
This facility has no ac and it’s super HOT in the inside where you unload also in storage units. Has no carts but two and is always packed so you have to wait for people to unload and that’s if the next person hasn’t claimed them so more waiting. And you have to have your car off because of the exhaust but it’s so damn hot!
It's clean but there are never any dollies when you need them. Even when you are the only car in the parking lot.

Jay made my experience really good. He helped me open the door to the building (the door handle was loose) and even helped carry in a few bigger items when I first moved into my unit (someone stole/misplaced the cart they have for the building my unit is in).

The outside storage security gate is trash. My son's car was broken into twice. The first time they called us and reported it to the police. The second time no one called or reported it. They doing care about your stuff and the security camera is right over the car and someone still broke into the car again. The guy inside tells me he forgot to call and stated it was his bad. I informed him this storage facility can not be trusted and he better not charge my son for any storage rent or fee. We are getting the car towed out of this god forsaken place. My advice to others, don't bring your things here, if you value your stuff. The thieves who are breaking into the facility knows they are not secure and the security sucks. And the outside gate is always broken and left open. The thieves are breaking into this facility by crawling up the gate. So be careful with doing business with this storage facility. They are losing lots of business because of thieves stealing stuff from this place. Your stuff!!!!! The guy inside states he has reported it to his manager and they will not do anything about it but keep an eye on it. They can see the guy breaking in but they can't stop him from stealing.

The facility is very clean and quiet. I was able to get into a unit in under 10 mins. Christopher was very nice and very helpful and informative. Access is easy and simple to use. I'm confident our belongings will be safe !!

I really happy with the location, price, and facility.
I have never written a negative review. Don’t rent space here. I stored my belongings here for 8 months including my grandfather’s record collection. In general, the facility is fine, but my specific unit had mouse/rat droppings and there was clearly water intrusion. How does this happen in an indoor, climate controlled unit? My record covers are crinkled, smell of mildew, and were clearly exposed to water. Two of my mattresses have water stains and were in perfect condition before. There are water stains on the metal siding in my unit and public storage isn’t taking responsibility for this. I have no idea where the water came from. Rat/mouse droppings in my boxes, on the floor, and atop my storage bins. It’s pretty vile. The whole facility has only 2 moving carts and they are hard to find and/or always in use. I was told the others were stolen and corporate hasn’t approved more. That’s absurd. How are you supposed to move your things without equipment that is part of the rental benefits? It’s a busy storage facility so if you’re in a hurry, plan to bring your own moving equipment. One note that is annoying — the public storage app has a remote door entry but it never once worked for me. I had to manually enter the code, which is fine, but if you’re looking for a facility with technology that works and is clean, don’t go here.
Christopher was super helpful. Overall a great facility in a convenient area. I like the fact that it has an enclosed drive thru area for loading and unloading. Definitely will be helpful if it’s ever raining or too hot outside.

Storage started to smell like dead rodents and found my belongings with chew marks. Needless to say, I caught one!
Just wanted to share that we had arrived with a reservation for Labor Day special and it turned out that there were no more units for this special we were set on leaving however Christopher was super accommodating and kindly walk us thru some options that made financial sense. Christopher saved the deal for Public Stirage his knowledge and Carismatic personality allowed us to feel comfortable moving forward with the location. Thank you Christopher Piblic Storage is fortunate to have you working with them.
Mia service was awesome! She was very attentive and helpful when returning my call. I had a few questions about my storage and she was able to assist me. Great attitude and positive manners. People should be kind everyday just like her! :)

Great storage place
This used to be a great facility however there’s several homeless people in the area. They’re always camped out there. The gates to the entrance never work. They’re always down and blocked. Makes it very inconvenient and the prices continue to soar constantly.
They up the prices every couple months ...BOGUS SCAM

Great place, my code hasn’t worked since day one. But I’ve been using a new suggested code and it has been working flawlessly. One thing, I see a lot of comments about the elevators, the key to using them is to recall once the door opens use your code or wait until all your things you’re taking down are in the elevator, then input your code and you will not have any issues. For us, this was a problem the first time around. After this one time, it has worked perfectly.
Every time I go there, you can’t use the inside part, the door is always broken, no one is ever in the office, I had to go back 3 different times before someone was there, facility is always dirty now and it’s hot, doesn’t feel like climate control….OH and they keep raising the rent. I’ll be moving out soon and I can’t wait, just hope it’s before another increase. Consider yourself warned.
Gates are always having issue and no one is ever at the property to help out or answer the phone.
I rented a unit online and once that filled up. Corina helped get me set up with a second unit. She was very helpful. I always see her going around cleaning up the area. She had 5 other groups needing to get a unit and was kind to each person she helped.
This place has gone so far downhill. It used to be good but they clearly don’t care about this place anymore. For example I have a vehicle parked out back and as of this moment I can’t get my vehicle out, it’s literally trapped back there because the access gates are both down. They have two access gates and one of them is ALWAYS BROKEN. I can’t remember the last time both of them worked. I have been calling for three days and NO ONE answers and when I went by the office of course the doors are locked and no one’s there. I’m sure eventually they will get one of the gates working but I just hate that I always have to cross my fingers and hold my breath HOPING their gates will work today. They even have a banner on the back gate that’s half come off and no one has bothered to hang it back up correctly. Even a detail as small as that shows they could care less

Useless facility. No security whatsoever. Our small cargo trailer/ tiny home, full of motorcycles, camping equipment and tons of sentimental items was stolen out of this "secure" parking lot. It was parked right in front of the security camera at the loading dock and had a very strong hitch lock. Nobody cared. Anyone can just easily wander in and take your belongings. I have lost faith in all storage facilities and believe that it might have been someone who is familiar with the facility. We have been ignored by this large corporation and San Antonio police have not been helpful even though they arrested a man riding my motorcycle. Do not store vehicles in this facility! It has been a continuous nightmare for me and my boyfriend for months. There unfortunately is fine print that says they are not liable for anything, so you're better off just parking in the street and saving yourself the monthly storage fee. Bad!!!

I have been trying to come into the office and pay for over 2 weeks. EVERY time I come, no one is here. I call, no one answers. I use the chat, they tell me, Drive to different locations and see if anyone is working at those. What!?!
I just need to pay cash inside. Hours are from 9:30 to 6pm. No one is here.

Had a storage unit there and auction off without a notice in the mail and or online email or a phone call then took another payment after they auctioned off our military documents and gear and my mother's urn and my daughter's and almost other things. Who does that .. after knowing received a phone asking us to come secure my storage unit and didn't mention nothing about being in auction . All of my husbands military documents and gear and my mom and daughter are gone no phone to tell is how much or why it went to auction then doesn't follow proper procedures and rules and everything monthly statement is different. You be past you due date if it's 3 to 4 days and they alrewdy tacked imon 20 late fees plus your next months due date amount . No time or date of them is auction or how much to restore to keep it but sure did grab 278 .00 after that .

Reasonable prices, discounts/specials for new customers, very clean inside though I can't say the same thing for the outside of the building. There's alot of trash in the parking lot. I haven't seen it clean since my first day there. Not just anyone can get in since you need to put your access code at every door to get in. There's the door by the elevators to go into the 1st floor storages and I always have problems opening it. I put my code like 4 times before i get it to open. Regardless of this little thing, I still would recommend this location to anyone looking for a storage unit.

The roll up door has been broken for a while, this prevents you from driving close to elevator and it is inconvenient when loading/unloading large items

Very easy to make a reservation online and access unit on my own using the app. If you are just renting a unit and not a parking space for a vehicle you can enter through the front loading zone that’s COVERED! Easy, straight forward access to first floor or elevators. Customer service was great at the desk and over the phone when confirming my reservation as well as answering all of my questions. The facility is very clean and well lit and has carts available to move belongings. No complaints at all.

If you’re the only person in the office working and you need to step away for any of the thousand reasons it may be, and in turn lock the doors, it would behoove you to post a sign saying “be right back” or “out to lunch see you in 20” instead of just locking the doors and being unavailable for what’s already been 20-25 minutes which is cutting into my already small window of time I’ve allotted myself to be here when the hours from the QR code and listed hours online have zero mention of a closed for lunch schedule.
Manager Cindy was the sweetest upfront honest person I met. She walked us though the process and price and made you feel at home. Thank you Cindy for providing such a positive experience on my first storage. Very clean and easy to use/find my storage.

Please do not get discouraged when you first call and things don't go well. For instance they spell your name wrong or someone you know used you as a contact person on their storage and you weren't aware. This in turn shows up like someone else is using your email because they have your email and phone number in their files. It was a mess it took awhile to sort it out, but it got done right.
When I connected with Cindy everything went smoothly. So stress free. I felt better about making the change. She is straight forward, easy to communicate with, very friendly, (you don't just feel like a storage number). She took her time explained everything to me Twice 😂 (I was having a bad day).
The facility is kept clean and the set up is great. The only thing is the don't offer Veteran's discounts or any other kind of discount. This is not on Cindy. It is the Company.
Let's not harm the messenger! She is only doing her job as told and she is Awesome at it. Keeping smiling 😃 and doing the great job you do Cindy.

Very clean. Easy access and super helpful Management. Couldn't have been easier. The Manager Cindy walked me through every step. Including helping me download Public Storage app on my phone to make things easier. Climate control and security cameras throughout property. I feel at ease knowing my possessions will be safe.
