The whole process was so simple. The facility is very nice, clean and feels safe. Kona, at the front desk, was helpful and knowledgeable about their various services and the forms I was signing. I could have also done this online prior to showing up and gone right to my unit. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing self- storage.
Had a great experience today getting into our first unit with Public Storage at Prosper Commons! The process was so easy and seamless, Ayden and Crystal were amazing and very accommodating! They even brought a chair around to our side for my mom (who’s on oxygen) to sit in, such caring and nice people here! They were very helpful with the whole process and answered all our questions. We have been with Public Storage for years at this location. Today we needed to add a unit for my aging parents while we transition them to senior living due to health reasons. We spoke with Kurstin who was incredibly helpful. She told us the units that were available. She also encouraged us to look online for special pricing bc she didn't have access to that information since online specials couldn't be booked directly with her. She saved us quite a bit of money by doing it online. Since finances are tight for my parents, we really appreciate her pointing us to online booking. She didn't have to-but she did. Been with this place about four yrs and my stuff isn’t on fire or flooded. Non-climate room that I chose so I can’t say anything about those. But the storage area was open and the gate always worked with my storage code. They always had carts and working and clean elevators. The people in the office are always pleasant and helpful, especially Brandy (possibly Brandi; we’ve only spoken on the phone), who was incredibly helpful, very personable, and was able to leave me with enough of an impression that would cause me to want to give ppl the opportunity to choose this place based on my own pleasant experience.
No other place I would store my stuff in Prosper. Needed extra help with my locker and they went above and beyond to get it done same day. Josh and Cho are the best!

Yes, I just wanted to make a comment about Josh Zander. He was amazing. He was the only one that called me back regarding my storage. I have a storage room there and Prosper on Commons Boulevard and I have since moved to Houston Texas and I was concerned because I wasn’t gonna be able to pay until the end of the month which means my storage is in late payment and I was worried that my items would be sold. He called me back. He explain the process and put me a promise to pay status. Explain to me that I would still receive calls from them, letting me know that my Storage is late and he broke it down where I can understand but they are not selling. My item just a courtesy call to let me know the status of my account. I was so grateful for him doing that because being so far away from my items my furniture, I was stressed and worried and now I can relax and make my payment at the end of the month I think he’s amazing. He states that this is not even his store he’s just helping out, so I really thought that was amazing of him to do that.
I have been renting from this storage unit for years for my small business. I needed to make some changes to save money on rent and Jody was incredibly helpful to get me just what I needed to do that!

Changing my review after speaking to the manager, Jody. She has taken note of the issues pointed out below and is actively working to resolve the issues. It's refreshing for a business to reach out and resolve issues. Great work Jody at this Prosper Public Storage location. Note, the following were past issues I'd experienced: Has decent rates for upstairs storage. Major downsides are the parking, usually no carts available, and worst of all, the elevator is usually broken about 70% of the time. Also note that the handrail in the stairwell is very loose and is about to fall odd the wall. Safety isn't a standard let alone a thought here.
I am very impressed with the ease of the rental process as well as the cleanliness of the facility. My unit was ready for move-in within 10 minutes of completing the agreement online.
I had the pleasure of meeting the property manager, Jody. She was very informative and you could tell she knows that property like the back of her hand. She literally gave me clear, concise directions to my unit on a completely different floor.
Upon departing, she caught up with me just to ensure the rental was good, a decent size etc. I appreciate her customer service and I cannot recommend this facility enough.

Our main reason to give only one star is the staff. The new manager names Jodie (she refused to give her last name) was incredibly rude, beyond reason. We were asking her nicely and politely and she was just rude for no reason.
Jan 18, 2024. The storage is fine. But I don’t know how much the climate control works. Emily we were in, they were trying to fix the heat. So who knows how long the system wasn’t working.

I have had a unit for nearly 5 years at this location. It’s always nice and clean and of course temperature controlled. Recently, my work mistakenly shipped a package to my storage unit instead of my home address. Ashley, the site manager on duty, was so kind as to give me a call stating she was holding onto it for me till I could get by to pick up. She even stayed late to allow me enough time to get there to pick the package up. Ashley went above and beyond and I sincerely appreciate the customer service!

This place is a complete joke!! There is never anyone in the office at This location. We were very unfortunate to get a unit on the second floor. The bad thing about that is you have to put your code in every time anyone goes up. We are paying a moving company and they change by the hour. This facility is not a place you want to go if you are storing a house full of items. It will take days to try and move everything just because of the slow elevator, and inputting a code EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!! Please, please stay away. Our experience was so bad we stopped packing the unit and got a more expensive storage unit just because our experience was so bad!!! It’s cheap for a reason. Stay away!!
I’ve had a unit for about 3years now. I was at another location but wasn’t satisfied with the customer service. I stopped by the cook lane location in Prosper to get some information and I was met with such a warm welcome from a lady by the name of Kelly. It was like a God send! She was more than happy to help point me in the right direction and willing to take time to show me exactly how to get what I needed and that was greatly appreciated! Needless to say I moved my things to that location the same week. Thanks a lot Kelly!

I was moving my stuff directly from containers to the storage. Wish public storage allowed placing the containers in their parking lots for 3-4 days. They could even charge for the parking lot. This could have saved my the trip to uhaul and made my move easier.
I stopped in to see about renting a unit, we are moving soon and downsizing so we need some storage for items we don’t have room for. Dana was very helpful and friendly.
