I set up a reservation online; I was called and I told the person I’d come in. When I got there, no one was present. I called and was told I had to set up an appointment which was news to me. In any case, it was obvious that this is not a place where security matters - the gate was broken and standing wide open. It looked like it had been that way for a while. I rented elsewhere.

Public Storage is a terrible company. I have been renting a storage unit (10x20) at this location for nearly 15 years. Public storage took over Security Self Storage at the beginning of 2024. My rent was about $200 per month at the time. By September 1 of 2024 Public storage was going to raise my rent to over $500 per month. By mid August I decided to to see what a 10x20 unit was renting for, and it was $196 per month, needless to say, I moved out. Watch out for this company, they will gouge you.
Wilma was wonderful. She took time to take me to different units till I found one I liked and felt safe accessing. She transferred me from a smaller unit to a larger unit. She was very patient when I kept changing my mind.
I have to give credit to Heather. She was kind enough to assist Wilma on her off day.
Heather and Wilma provided excellent customer service during our storage move-in. They helped us easily transfer to a unit that provided the access and space we needed.
The Clark I met there was awesome.

I'm updating my review because there has been alot of improvement to the property. First of all, I'm giving Kudos to Heather the Manager. Since she has been here, the property has been well taken care of. She's a strong, kind, friendly, and just a sweet person. I've seen her clean, dump trash, and even lift heavy items into the dumpster. She's on track now to make it a great place to visit. Thanks Heather. Great Job!

I wish Security Self Storage had not gotten bought out by Public Storage. This place sucks now. Gate hours have been shortened and billing processing time of 4 days for a storage unit is ridiculous to me.

This is the best storage facility I have ever used. It's super clean, and seems very safe to me. The manager is so on the ball and friendly too. I've needed help a few times, and she has always been a valuable resource. I highly recommend. The prices are good too. My mom has used this facility for years and loves it.

In a way, I am sad for leaving as I have always enjoyed talking with and seeing Melissa, the manager. I had some heavy boxes and she let me use her cart to carry them down the hallways on two occasions. I couldn't have done it without her help.
I was in the air conditioned Bldq. Q and the temperature was always nice and cool. It was upper 90s outside and probably 74F inside.
I have always been impressed with the manner in which the property has been maintained...immaculate and clean. Melissa is a true professional and I am sure that upper management with SSS recognizes what a great manager they have in her.
