Lorrie is THE BEST. From her initial greeting, her customer service and to her follow thru. Got my storage in 30 minutes and she walked with me to show me my options. Originally chose a storage down the street and waited outside for 30+ minutes and no one showed up, all while I had already spoke to someone a few days earlier and they assured me I didn’t have to make an appointment. Insert Lorrie saving the day and making my moving process exponentially easier. 5 stars!!!

Judy's Customer Service: 5/5 stars. Public Storage: 2/5 stars. I have been renting a unit here since April of 2021. When I first started renting, it was a different company but by the end of the summer Public Storage had taken over. The transition was smooth, my unit price remained the same at $99 (insurance included) for a while. Then, it was bumped up to $145. Fine, I get it. Prices have to fluctuate. Then it was bumped up to $179. Not so fine. My unit hadn't changed sizes, the amenities hadn't changed. The only thing that changed was having to enter a code to be able to access the elevator so tenants were only given access to their own floor, for safety reasons I'm assuming. Today, June 10, 2024 I get a notice in the mail that they are raising my rent to TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY THREE DOLLARS. $233 a month! Are you kidding me? I can barely afford the $180 I'm paying now, so I go online to start shopping around and lo and behold - public storage is renting my exact unit for $58-$71 online. Excuse me?! A fourth of price?? Get. Real. I called up to the Bunker Hill location and JUDY was extremely helpful. Seriously, give this girl a raise!!!!!!!! She was understanding and compassionate and was able to get my rent to stay at $180 until the end of the year. (For 6 months). Also to mention, they don't have an 10x8's listed on the website but mine is because I have a giant corner carved out of my storage unit because of a beam or something in the back left corner, so I'm not even getting a full 10x10 space but I'm being charged like I am. Public Storage - please do better. Take better care of your tenants that have been with you FOR YEARS and stop making it ridiculously expensive to rent a space from you. Yes, you are climate controlled, which I guess is considered a luxury, but there are plenty of other storage facilities in Sachse that are, where I could be paying a 4th of the price that I am paying with you. I am a loyal customer, but you're about to lose me. Don't let the move in prices fool you. You'll be paying 3x as much soon, just you see.

Horribly Managed Location -Inaccessible I have 2 storage units at this location for 3+ years now. It’s been an extension of my garage. In the past it’s been easy to get access to the units, there is a single indoor entrance with 4 parking spots. Today, I experienced chaos which is now very routine. I cannot get inside to park my truck because there is a 22’ moving truck being unloaded and other pickups blocking the entire area. It’s a major grid lock that will take hours to clear. Fridges, furniture, and other bulky items just strewn around. With the grid lock, I figure maybe I can just cart my stuff through the office into the elevator, but the office doors are locked and no one is working. I go back and access the elevator and it has someone’s furniture and items just sitting there, so I cannot even access the elevator with my items (see pic). Enough is enough, this place is horrible, I now regulary have to try 3-4 times a day in order to find an opening where I can get access to my unit. On top of that they just raised my rates by 50%, while I have literally no access to my units! I have decided today to move out and find someplace else. I’m not paying them a premium rent to keep my items hostage from access. My advice, is find another storage place that has multiple entrances and loading/unloading areas, because this place is a HUGE bottleneck. You would think they would figure it out by now and begin scheduling huge moving trucks on specific days/hours so everyone can still have access to their units.

Laurie: located at 5760 Barberry Hill Rd., Garland, TX 75048. Is one of the friendliest and most incredible welcoming lady and most helpful staff members. Her experience and knowledge is far beyond what I have experienced in a long time five stars to Laurie.

Clean restrooms indoors but I can't get over the fact that I'm unloading indoors with no ac and no ventilation. Automatic doors you can't keep open. Signs saying you can't idle your car to cool off. Id rather unload in the sun with a breeze and be able to cool off in my car when I need to.

I can say that I was not happy when Public Storage took over this facility but Judy has made this transition very pleasant. She has went above and beyond in customer service. Public Storage is lucky to have her as an employee.

Went in the other day with questions and Judy was so helpful and kind I went ahead and started my lease right then. Very easy, very open and helpful. Only complaint is that the codes are a bit long and confusing but it is secure.

Laurie, Was very friendly from the moment we spoke on the phone. On my visit to the storage I was greeted with a warm and friendly smile by Laurie. She gave us a tour, showed us the unit, and provided us with all the information we needed. I had a great experience. I had searched many other locations but the price, size and location was perfect for my needs.

I got here around 12:30. My new unit that I rented last night online was locked when I went to open it in person but all that happened was that the tenant next to me moved in the wrong unit . Instead of complaining, Judy at the Garland tx location helped me out by doing a unit transfer with ease and with jokes along the way . Thanks Judy

I got the unit I needed online and signed all forms all online. When I showed up on moving day with my rented moving truck, things went south. The lady working this place was acting like this was her personal house telling people what to do, where to park, giving people time limits in the garage with their trucks, etc!!! Ive never seen anything like it. She was disrespectful and very rude to me. People still had things to unload in their trucks that just left because of how this woman was screaming at people, telling people what to do, asking people how much longer, and the way she was talking to people. She was extremely rude. I'm already considering giving a notice and taking my business elsewhere. I have pros and cons about the Storage facility and unit itself. The storage facility is really nice and clean for the most part. The garage is kind of dirty, and I'm not sure that I even like the whole idea about the garage. I'd rather just have a gate like a traditional storage facility to make it easier for moving trucks; the garage is just chaos. The elevators are not wide enough, and you have to use your code every single time you get into it. This is stressful!!!!!! The codes are not simple and you're probably like me and moving a lot of stuff!! The garage doors are one way in and one way out. There are no signs to tell you that on the outside of the building but the garage police impolitely informed me about going one way in and one way out, and don't you dare back your truck in!! if you do, you'll completely fool her and leave her to wonder how you got that thing in there because going in reverse and backing it in wasn't simple enough!! I can't make this up! Just my two cents for what it's worth.

Was in need of a storage quickly and it was Judy to the rescue! She stopped what she was doing to make sure I got my account set up and my unit picked out asap!! She helped me every step of the way and even with the remote access using the app. Definitely was an amazing experience and eased the pressure I was under looking for a reliable storage.

***New Update** I can see that this Public Storage has made effort to improve the facility and address most if not all of the concerns I stated below. I appreciate the staff who have spoken directly with me and inquired about how they might make the customer experience better. I am a much happier customer. **UPDATE** Since transitioning from All Storage to Public Storage, there has been a significant drop in the quality of maintenance, care, and cleanliness. Many times that I have been to the facility, the office has been locked during regular hours, and the phonenrolls to a call center making it impossible to get on-site help. The Exit gate has been non-functional for months!! When they were working, the App used to control them never worked for the Exit. This meant getting out of your vehicle to enter your Access code to raise the gate to leave. The Entry has worked consistently from the App, but never the Exit. Also, the elevator now requires that you enter your Access code manually and, once entered, will only go to the floor that has the unit for the code. I get the safety feature, just don't share a ride with someone whose unit is on a different floor. The prices have notably increased both for the units and for the insurance. Mine went from $85 monthly to $105. And I think I may be in some kind of grandfathered pricing, as the same size unit now goes for $120 before the $15 insurance. Disappointing changes. Not a fan.

Judy was very helpful and answered all the questions we had. She might not be as warming at first meet but after speaking to her she became more personable. She was very professional and explained everything about the facility and how they work, as far as driving up into the units, their hours and how their elevators work. It’s a bit tricky if it’s your first time renting a climate controlled unit, as it was ours but she explained everything and we felt prepared when we came back to unload. Thank you again Judy for all your help! We appreciate the time you took with us. Moving is a stressful time but you made the process of renting a unit a breeze!!

What is an able to find an on-site manager, called the one 800 number they told me the manager was on site. I waited for more than a half hour. Manager never showed up. Went down the street and had immediate service at cube space

I really just like this location and the fees are ridiculous they cut your lock off when you haven't made a payment within the same month instead of cutting it off the following month manager at this location is awful. They don't do any call reminders like they used to they don't inform you before they raise your rent and now you have to have a code just to use the elevator into exit the building it's more hassle than it is worth I used to like public storage but now I dread even going into the location

Had great experience the other day getting a storage unit rented. The employee there, Laurie, was the kindest and she also helped me get supplies for moving as well. Will definitely be using public storage for my future storage needs

My first time in 46 lived yrs that I've ever had the need to use storage unit. And I hated it. The "customer service rep" who identified herself at Judy was condescending and yelled at EVERYONE there that day. NEVER WILL I EVER RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE AS LONG AS SHES EMPLOYED HERE. Is it fair to judge franchise business based on 1 employee?.......ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY your employees are a representation of the image you want to portray. It speaks VOLUMES! Rented the unit online, received the instructions via text and even called to confirm the reservation. Everything was fine until I got to the unit. I arrived almost an hr before they closed on a Sunday to receive reassurance in having a unit to use, but the front office was closed. Two set of double doors and both locked. Thought, "no problem, we will figure it out". Opened my confirmation text, drove down the side and saw big bay door to an inside un loading dock, thought awesome. Opened the door with the code drove in and parked in 1 of 4 or so single car lots, my father close behind lugging a small trailer carrying our things to store. As soon as we drove it, I notice that even thought their set up was done to be streamline and reduce congestion it was going to be impossible because the second bay door was broken, yellow tape across it and it was closed. So the larger vehicles needed to reverse in a clearly marked one way. Congestion was inevitable. My father parked to the side behind my car to allow a Uhaul was already inside in case it needed to exit. While my father 73 and mother 62 helped unload the stuff, I went to find the unit on the second floor and look for dollies. After locating the unit, no dollies, a head back downstairs...when at the elevator a middle aged woman exits SCREAMING at the top of her her lungs looking for the owners of the uhaul. She looked FURIOUS! I shook my head and said no proceeded downstairs. To my surprise my parents proceeded to tell me that this woman screamed and yelled at them as if they were young children as if they were being scolded and ordered them to get the trailer out of the bay area. And did the same to the uhaul drivers. She then came over, after coming downstairs to scream at me. Tried to talk to her but her decibels never came down to normal person conversation level. I would have been fine until she said 1 phrase..... "You people" after that I found myself raising my voice and told her that she was incapable of speaking like a civilized person and listen. Just infuriating. I see people, not color, sex or religion bur I'm not blind to those who do distinguish traits....and that phrase "you people" is a tell tell phrase. I'm not going to make accusations but.....once again, I'm not blind.

Dealing with this location and Public Storage as a whole has been one of the worst experiences of my entire life. Move in hours are extremely strict and seemingly intentionally hidden. I received a text at midnight that my unit was ready and available and when I got there, I was unable to access it in any way even though the manager was there and other people were still moving in and out. Rather than any form of helpfulness and understanding, the manager seemed to enjoy telling us we were too late to move in. There were no details in the agreement that I wouldn’t be able to access the unit at 10:30PM. The only positive thing I can say about this experience is that the customer service representative that I was finally able to get a hold of after an annoying automated phone system process, was very pleasant and helpful in getting my reservation cancelled and my money returned. I would strongly encourage anyone to avoid public storage, especially this location. Put your money where it’s valued and you aren’t taken advantage of.

Looks like since they change owner they rise the prices and the exit door is broken for I dont how long is a pain to go out it is full inside!

Went to Public Storage today. I will be honest, I was not looking forward to it. It was late in the day and it was already so hot outside and I thought this place is going to be so hot today and the people usually at these places aren't very nice or they just usually hate their jobs. I have to say my family and I were very surprised when we went into this location and left very happy. First of all the location I am referring to was 5760 Bunker Hill Garland, Tx. The people here are very nice. To be specific Laurie & Judy that were the ones that helped us out today. These Two are The Nicest Ladies And you can tell they really just enjoy doing a good job. Second the inside of the place was so clean and everything was very easy to do. Paper work very quick and Laurie even walk is around the inside and gave us a tour of the facility and it was very pleasant. Walked us right to our unit and answered all our questions and gave us a great deal on a 10x10 unit with Climate Control. Most of these in door places have a terrible Musty smell to a terrible Odor but this place absolutely did not have that Problem at all. Everything was great and even saw how secure each unit was plus they have 24 Hr. Camera access and they keep it that way 7 days a week. I wished more place were this easy and secure. Thank you public Storage and Laurie & Judy!

However, I spoke with Kaylie who oversees a few Public Storage locations and had a great experience getting it resolved through her efforts. Most impressive was that she followed through and told me exactly what she was doing to resolve and then called me several days later to confirm all was resolved in my account. Kaylie made a real impact for the customer and that is something we need more of in the service industry. Thank you Kaylie!

I'm extremely grateful for all the help Laurie had given me. I had just drove the whole night from Estero, FL to Dallas, TX. I had to make a last minute reservation after the one I had reserved before I left turned out to be too small for my needs. My step-mother had passed and my siblings and I packed up the entire 3 bedroom house and I brought most of it back to Texas. Needless to say, I was very tired and stressed out. Laurie was patient and made everything very simple with me on account of my exhaustion. She saved me money for a larger unit and got me one that was easily accessible. Well while I was waiting on Ms. Laurie to finish with the customer another worker came in. If I tell you he was so monotone I asked him to give me the price of each one and show me a 10×15 and a 10x20 I ask him did he have any 10x20 on the 1st floor he said I don't have any. Ms.. Laurie stepped in and said yes we do its #such and suchx#. By then I'm over him. Well I called on the 31st asking why it won't allow me to rent online the monotone worker stated its CANCELLED due to we call you and you didn't answer the phone I said did you leave a message and my move in is not until April 1st as I walking talking he cut me off and said it's back activated and try it again. I told him what do it mean when I get to the part saying international address he said I never heard that from anyone. Ok I get he didn't hear that from no one but the response I was looking was I never heard of it but let me call Ms Laurie and see. Well I told him listen you seem like you are not willing to help you seem as if you trying to rush me off the phone. I then said where is Ms. Laurie cause I'm bout done with you he called her and said she will be back in on friday. I told him that I will wait on Ms. Laurie to return on friday and I will come and let her finish my rental. Listen I get it we all go through things, we might not feel our best at times. BUT ONE THING THIS WORKER should remember once you walk in the doors at public storage you leave everything else at home and give the customer 100% make the customer feel like at that time you talking to me nothing else matters but this customer. This worker needs coaching.
