My husband and I moved out of our home in Fort Worth and began a long construction renovation project in the Summer of 2021. As such, the bulk of my furniture, clothes and possessions were in storage at this facility for nearly 3 years. I totaled up the fees that we spent over the course of this time period and all in all, we spent $12,849 at this facility (multiple price increases over this time period). The amount of money we spent is NOT a complaint, just a fact and relevant to what comes next.
When it came time to move our things out, everything seemed fine, but my mattress was covered in rat urine and feces. A rat had basically climbed in the cover and hung out. I told the office and they were very kind and made a note in my file. I let them know I would be filing a claim for the King Saatva mattress which was only 6 months old when I had put our things in storage.
Please be aware that while the Orange Door insurance is mandatory at Public Storage (and something you do pay for), it is unclear what is actually covered when/if something is damaged. The insurance company has been in contact with me and shared that in cases of rodent damage, only $200 is covered and there is a $100 deductible... I have another Public Storage unit in Denton and have had several units over the past decade (all with Public Storage) and have never had cause to make any claims due to damages... Rodents were never an issue in any of the other facilities I have used. And I would assume that when rodents ARE an issue, it is very obvious that Public Storage should be liable for not maintaining their facilities.
Again, when spending this kind of money, please beware that Public Storage is not liable for anything that happens to your things while under their roof. Orange Door is garbage.
Do NOT rent here. They will lie to you about promotions. Take your business anywhere else

I had need of a storage facility in Fort Worth that was temperature control and had access at convenient times and discovered this facility. The facility was clean, pest free, temperature controlled, and accessible by entry code keypad when no staff is accessible.
The staff was friendly, courteous, and professional especially the site manager Mr. “B”. I liked it so much I recommended it to other people. I would highly recommend this facility!

I obtained a storage unit on Wednesday morning . Sunday evening I went to move my items in. My unit was located on the 3rd floor , no carts available to move my items. A sign by the elevator , carts are only available during business hours?! What?! Then why have access to the facility after business hours!
My SECOND RED FLAG WAS:
I went up stairs to the unit .. came back down stairs to my car. Observed the environment. There are ppl living in there, Someone pulled up to buy/ sell drugs , another car parked off to the side , just chillin. All within the 15 minutes I was there. Too much going on at a storage unit. I don’t feel safe , it’s not safe and for that’s reason . I immediately took my lock off and canceled my unit.
Came here to update my review and read many reviews , in which confirmed my observation and the feeling I had during my time there . I know they ask for a review after you obtain your unit. But before you actually write it. Go to the unit after hours to see for yourself.

DO NOT RENT at the PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY ON STELLA ST
I moved out of my storage unit at Public Storage on Stella Street in Fort Worth in early March. The reasons are as follows:
1. In my opinion the three recent break-ins at the facility left all renters vulnerable to having their unit(s) broken into and contents stolen.
2. News reports indicate that the thieves accessed the building after hours. In my opinion, a simple switch to turn off the electricity to the doors and door motion sensors could have prevented these break-ins. Additionally, the owners could also install a manual lock on the doors. One might argue that the lack of a switch to deactivate the doors after business hours after the first break-in constitutes gross negligence. See paragraph 4.1 in your contract.
3. The response from the regional management was that the news story by Fox 4 News in Fort Worth was, in fact, positive news regarding the response to the break in by Public Storage and FWPD. Think about that. Because a break-in and theft occurred, Public Storage was able to demonstrate how great they are and how great the FWPD is (FWPD is great, and they don’t need a crime to be committed to prove it)!
4. I would advise anyone that asked me to not rent at the Public Storage Stella Street location. I believe there are so many better locations with better security. In my opinion, the current tenants should be unsettled by the recent break-ins.
5. Rent increases: My rent started in October 2020 at $48 per month and I received notice in February 2024 that my April 2024 rent would be $190 per month. Rent was increased 5 times in 42 months (every 8.4 months) with an average rent increase of 32%. My rent increased 296% in three- and one-half years. Beware, your rent is going up a lot and going up quickly.

CUSTOMER SERVICE IS STELLAR! Building is well kept & clean. Only issue I see is there is no dumpster on on site,so you need to take your trash .
BEWARE!!! DON’T put your things here!!! Worst Experience Ever!! DON’T RENT HERE! Read the low reviews (lots of theft breaking into units) and don’t assume the good reviews are truthful! No one answers phones & maybe 1 out of 100 tries to reach someone in the office you might get someone to answer. No one is is in the office majority of the time. So don’t count on getting a cart, because they are in the office to be checked out. With no one in office you won’t be getting a cart. Large faculty & they have only 2-3 carts. While Extra Space Storage has 6+ carts to use anytime you need without having to wait for someone in the office! If anyone is on the property , your chances of seeing them or being in the office is slim to not at all! They don’t carry a phone when not in the office either. Rent is insane!! In less than 4 months the price has changed per month 4 times ($53, $83, $93, $113!) Don’t expect to get notified properly either when that happens! Oh and they will cut your lock before your even a wk late for what ever reason! As well as immediately putting your unit in Lien status to be sold before the month is over! Place isn’t clean, can’t find anyone that works there. You can call corporate and don’t expect your complaints will have any weight. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! I’ve been renting storage as a long term customer for years and this place by far is the worst!! Take your stuff to Extra Space where you will always find carts, always find people in the office, always will be able to reach staff/mgr no matter where they are in the building. They work with you if late, don’t raid the rental prices mo to mo. And If behind, you’ll get text, email & formal letter by mail if late, a lien & auction won’t happen for a couple months giving you time to discuss being able to get your things. Even A-1 Thrift storage has better customer service than this place!!

According to an article (October 2023) in the Star Telegram, there have been reports of multiple break-ins at this Public Storage facility.
Also, if you experience a break-in there, don't follow the insurer's advice to replace the lock.
Look into removing the items asap since one person who was interviewed was told to replace the lock only to have the remaining items in their unit stolen.

Dealing with this storage facility has been the worst customer experience I've had in my life.
Less than a month ago, my girlfriend and I rented a unit at this location. It was their largest indoor, climate-controlled unit. Before signing the rental agreement, she talked with the front office about the safety of the location, asking about the CEN rating on the locks they provided, the security at the facility, etc. We were told that the location is under 24/7 security, and we trusted the overwhelmingly positive reviews here.
On Monday of this week, we were contacted at 2pm CDT and informed that both locks (a $130 ABUS padlock and the provided Public Storage disc lock) had been cut off of our unit. What is a Property Manager doing on a Monday for over five hours after the location opens if not surveying the property to ensure its safety? My girlfriend went to the location and immediately called the police. It was only then disclosed that there was a burglary. The burglars seemed to hit very specific units, all across the first, second, and third floors. They seemed to know which units to go to, despite us having only accessed the units a few times and being very discreet with how we stored things.
Half of our stored belongings were stolen, and the burglars left things that did not belong to us inside of our unit. We filed a police report with the Fort Worth Police Department and did not touch the contents of our unit, as it was effectively a crime scene and in case the insurance claims examiner would need to see the condition of the unit, request specific photos, etc. Public Storage provided us with another lock and key, we placed it on the unit, and left.
Today, Wednesday, my girlfriend was called and asked if we had vacated the unit. We said no. We were told the unit had no lock on it and was now completely empty. The same burglars, using the exact same way of getting inside, had now stolen the remaining half of what was in our unit, which we were not even able to touch until we heard back from the claims examiner on our first burglary.
I contacted the Property Manager and was provided no explanation or help. I talked to the District Manager (Troy Galer), whose only concern was expressing to me how bothered he was over the damages that the location suffered. He wasn't even aware that the location had been burglarized, completely pretended like he understood the situation and damages. There were no alarms, no security system. We signed a rental agreement based on the promise of "24/7 security," and we were provided none. The burglars used a COAT HANGER through the single set of doors to trigger the motion sensor on the inside. It looks like all they needed was an angle grinder to cut everyone's locks. That's $30 or less worth of equipment. That's how much money and effort it takes to burglarize this entire storage facility.
This location and district does not care about keeping your belongings safe. They are paid by a billion-dollar company who does not care about making it right when they've clearly wronged and victimized a customer. Everyone involved has behaved with complete negligence. There aren't even cylinder locks on the doors at this location, as there are at others, which is just a conscious decision to make the storage units less safe.
My girlfriend and I have been put through extreme stress and mental fatigue due to all of this. We have lost upwards of $50,000 worth of brand new items that we were expecting to put in a new home by the end of the year. We effectively paid $300 to have $50,000 worth of our belongings stolen. It would have been easier and safer to just purchase a small shed with a real alarm system. The staff at this location do not care, the District Manager does not care, and the Fort Worth Police Department has mentioned that many burglaries have happened at this location. I have rented at other locations for years at a time and never experienced this. Stay far away.

Well, I was at cube smart just down the road. A newer facility that had pretty decent renters at a price that was $20 cheaper and the staff continually monitored the camera's. They really cared about the safety of the property and it showed. I thought they were over bearing and Public Storage was closer so I figured I'd pay the $20 more for convenience. Well I got a lot more than that. Let me tell you what I got.
I started my move in and just like the other place, I was on the third floor. Well this time it was a little different it seems there were a couple of tenants that like hanging out in their storage unit I would actually have to walk clear around go to the next aisle and come back around from behind because he had his stuff scattered out in front of his storage unit. It appeared there were a couple of campers on my aisle. I let it go. I feel badly for people trying to hang on to what little they have and not being able to have a roof over their head. I'd still prefer them to abide by policy though. I'd be lying if I said I was comfortable with that situation. Then the unthinkable happens. Both of my locks are cut and my belongings get stolen. You know the camera footage they have? You don't get to see it. Make sure you have an itemized list or goodd luck remembering what you had and what had been stolen. They make you pay for insurance, but they don't help you remember what you had in there. Blur the image of the theif. I'm not after him. I do want full compensation for my belongings though. I moved out. $100 a month for storage on the aisle the front desk refer to as, "skid row". No sh#T! Too pricey to have your belongings taken from you and then the staff can't help you with the camera footage. It's taken me a long time before I file the report, because I almost did it without listing an item that was $350. I just know I'm forgetting something else. Well, I'm out of there. Not looking back. What an awful experience. Beverly hills storage prices for skid row. Who do you think you are?

No pressure sales and I LOVE my unit! It’s easy to access and convenient. This made my day! Ask for him if you come to this location
In the 2 years I've been here, the rental rate has gone up at least 5 times. Now a simple little unit is almost $100 more than when I first rented from them. It's insane because the building keeps getting worse and the cost keeps going up.
I would recommend avoiding them unless you're looking for a place to burn money.
I am so pleased with my experience here! As a college student, I was nervous about having to move out and find where to store my stuff. I could not be more happy with my decision to use Public Storage on Stella St. Justin was so helpful in answering all of my questions. I didn’t realize that I had locked my unit incorrectly. I had already left, but Justin not only gave me a call letting me know it was locked incorrectly, he explained how to properly lock it, and even followed up with me on my next visit. I’m so appreciative and know that my stuff is in good hands. I will definitely be using this location again in the future!

The whole staff here have been so friendly and helpful. Specifically Justin and Jen. They always help with any questions I've had, and little specific things like if I needed a door open for the movers to drop off things to my storage unit, etc. I used to think of a storage building and staff being a place where they will just do the absolute bare minimum, with as little service as possible. Public Storage (specifically the one here at 625 Stella Street) have really went above and beyond. I'd recommend you choosing this location, if you're wanting to store your things. It's a clean spot, with a friendly staff, and secure, air conditioned storage for a fair price.

Using this public storage has by far been the best experience that I've had with any storage facility that I've used in the past! Getting in was very easy gave me a great deal on my move-in as well as making my move out super easy.

He worked his magic and got the Issue resolved in less than 5 minutes. We have a unit at the Brentwood Stair location that is now a kiosk location and has many issues. This location on Stella St is manned and I have been working with Justin to move. I would have preferred to "transfer" to this location, but Public Storage doesn't seem to know how to do that so we had to reserve a new unit and start from scratch. Justin has answered all of my questions and is helping to make this a seamless move considering the issues we have had over the last year at our current location.

This is a terrible location. I ordered a unit online and when I got there my unit was locked with a real lock with no access I was there during business hours and no one was in the office and no one answers the phone or calls you back I’ve had a unit with no access that I’ve paid for for days now and have yet to hear from management and when I was there, there was another customer who had been trying to contact management for 3 days at that point so obviously this is a repetitive problem.I would give zero stars if I could. I definitely recommend the new blue mound location the management there is extremely helpful.
Someone stealing other people storage and is the workers because they have access to the lock they give you mean they have copy of the key we already transfer our stuff to a different storage and I won't recommend having your stuff in this storage we left because we got rebbed but if you want to have your stuff here I recommend using your own lock not there lock and used two lock to be safe
trashy atmosphere most of the time when I go visit my storage. Then you have Hanna who likes to harass me for stupidity when I'm there. (If you have a full storage and you're trying to pull things out how can you not help not put things in the hallway this is what Hannah was harassing me about. Then she had the nerve to talk s*** when I told her I was going to report her for harassing me. LOL so funny but she's a manager what a joke.

My unit got broken into. The lady here profiled me and said acted like I was breaking into the units when I reported to her that my unit has been broken into she didn't even call my wife and tell her that her unit was broken into because she was too busy on her telephone when I got there and I had to go up there and and walk the area to find out that my own unit was broken into so she's not clearly doing her job someone needs to fix this because it's ridiculous I'm to the stage of where I want to sue her because she has profiled me and I'm a black man my wife's a white lady it's it's the crazy the lady that profiled me is a black lady 625 Stella Street the people with profile you
This place have communication issue , they will charge u 20 dollar fee if u wana pay over the phone , 10 dollar with automated system, rent due on 1st they u send u bill middle of month , with late fee, I recorded the conversation complete rip off, they think 20 dollars is pocket change, 0 star

Nice facility. Bad part of town. If you need a cart to use to move your stuff around you need to go before the office closes because they lock them up when the office is closed.
I regret renting from this location. It's difficult to get to from the freeway. Also, every time I have come there was always a reason I couldn't use the equipment that us supposed to be included in the rental of the units. They leave at random times so you can't use the equipment and then they close up so early. This is just a big regret on my end.
I am currently on a deployment, while I went through each document with them and was told there would not be a price adjustment and continuously asked during the process and told "nope, you will not have an increase" I still ended up seeing one. I have tried since the month of May when I received the increase to contact the office during operation hours and have had no response. Email might as well not exist since there has been no response. Contacting the customer support line to have them transfer to a number that goes straight to voice-mail. It is sad that I am having to depend on other people since I am not in the state to deal with this and go to an empty office. Hopefully this will cause a response, since one has no been had by other means.

For storage it's fine. For navigating the building, it's nuts. It is just a behemoth of a place, so getting around is hard and takes a while

I once gave this location a 5 star but the price jump is ridiculous. Started out at 89.00 within 1 year at 148.00. They claim the property taxes are driving up cost. Smh. I believe the shareholders bonuses are driving up cost. Looking around for a more affordable unit.
This is one of the worse business ever. I’ve rented a unit from this place for 3 years and it seems like throughout the year it get worse. I have to say that since I’ve been there I have ask to speak to the manager and never have I heard from her. They go up on your lease and never tell you. Until you go and pay they hit you with it. They don’t have dolly’s for you to move your stuff. They locked your storage a week after your rent is due they cut locks on the 21st and they auction your stuff even if you call to tell them you are late because of an emergency they don’t care. And you never find anybody in the office. This is so unprofessional they don’t go by what they say and there no one to talk to. I hope all public storage aren’t like that but this one definitely don’t deserve to run a business. FYI they switch employees every month. That tells you.

I wanted to thank Nevada for her help locating a 5x5 unit for my TCU daughters belongings. After a mishap at another location she was able to find us a 5x5 unit not to far from campus. I really appreciated her help since we aren’t from the area. Nevada will help you if you need it!
First off, I would like to say that Miss Nevada, the property manager, is 5 star customer service. Both elevators went down today while I was moving in to my 4th floor unit and she was very apologetic and helped me upload my moving company receipt so I could make a case to corporate to be reimbursed for the extra time I was charged for my moving company taking longer due to the broken elevators. She was very understanding and helpful.
Ms. Navada , the manager at this location, provided us an atmosphere of courtesy and professionalism. My wife and I (Phyllis Jones-Thompson & William (Bill) Thompson appreciate her excellent spirit and personality.

After reading so many good reviews on Ms. Nevada, I wanted to meet her myself. Went in to make a payment, asked who was she and was she there? She looked up from the desk and said, I'm her! She gave a pleasant smile, and took care of my payment! It was nice meeting the person I'd read so many good reviews about!
