If it weren’t for Marie, I would have completely lost my mind this morning. I had just come back from surgery and all I needed was a change of clothes. But when I opened my storage unit, it was EMPTY. I literally fainted and could barely breathe. Marie stepped in, calmed me down before I could pass out again, and didn’t stop until she got to the bottom of what happened. She went above and beyond in every way imaginable. Without her, I don’t know how I would have made it through this ordeal. Marie is a lifesaver, and I am forever grateful for her kindness, persistence, and care.
Maria was very helpful and such a delight. She helped me setting everything up which was super nice. This is a great storage facility. It’s very secure and in the heart of Dallas.

Linda the manager is great. Extremely nice went beyond what was necessary to be helpful and get me taken care of. I would recommend this place anyone needing storage for sure.

Manager Linda no longer works here. Maria is still there. She's about the only good thing they got going for them. The first review was before Public Storage bought the property. Since they took over this property is no longer what it was. They are never in the office when I try to stop by during office hours. Property not clean like it was before. Can't get anywhere trying to get a return phone call with the regional manager to discuss some issues. They have raised my rent two times already while no longer allowing 24 hour access I had for years since before they bought the property. Didn't even notify me. I found out after I showed up to put a truck load of stuff in my storage after an event at 2:30 am in the morning. Never any carts to be found. Even when no one else appears to be at the property. One elevator is not working often. Sometimes both. This 5 star property is downgraded to a 1 star.
Workers are very kind but everything else is a train wreck. They increase rent almost immediately after your first month astronomically. One of the elevator almost never works. Water fountains don’t work. Restrooms aren’t accessible. Have to give your ID to rent a cart out so if you come with no one at the office, good luck. Overly crowded, always. Just a terrible terrible experience. DO NOT RENT HERE.
The Manager Maria is all about business. Five Star First Class service ALL THE TIME..

The Good: Maria!!!! She is so welcoming and helpful and is always here. The facility/units themselves are clean and well maintained! Idk how Maria does it all but she does!
The Bad: They are horribly understaffed so sometimes it’s hard to catch someone in the office as there’s usually only 1 employee (Maria) taking care the entire facility single-handedly. So that can be frustrating at times when I want to just run in and out of the unit and need the keys from the office.

My move in process was so easy! Maria was always there to help me with anything i need . She is an absolute sweet heart!
Every time I come to get a cart it’s policy that I leave my ID, so i leave it. When I come back ten minutes later no one is in the office and the doors are locked so im stuck waiting until they can come back to the door which has never been in under 10 minutes.
Update 3 weeks later- I’ve been 6 times over these past 3 weeks and no one has been in the office. (During their office hours)
The date is 9/3 and the lady at the counter told me she’d help me after she helped her other customer after I just got stuck in the elevator
I moved in this spring and my experience has been great! Maria has been especially helpful and pleasant when I come by the office. She's very knowledgeable and thorough and genuinely cares about the customers. ❤️

Maria is the bestest most Amazing Manger that Public Storage could ask for. Maria has amazing customer service, knows, understands and empathizes with the customers-consumers. I recommend this storage facility for All storing needs(disclaimer...) Note to Public Storage et al Maria is a great example of customer service my only complaint is Maria is not always able to be at the desk because Maria is serving customers. My recommendation (which may or may not be influential) is clone Maria...jk🙄 there needs to be more employees like Maria but please do not cut wages or things like that in the budget as customer service
and retention should be

First of all, the management is great here! Maria and Delia are amazing people who are super helpful! Especially if you accidentally lock yourself in a unit when the door is stuck on a couch! Keep that in mind, do not go inside to check what the door is stuck on haha
Public Storage leases to individuals online without ever meeting them or requiring them to visit the on-site office. Multiple individuals have been observed living in units against city ordinance. When reported to staff, they express zero concern and acknowledge it happens due to the company’s online leasing methodology. With that, Public Storage willingly and knowingly leases commercially zoned property to individuals for residential purposes, and they do nothing to address the security concern of actual lessees. They advertise business hours but allow individuals access to the facility around the clock. I am very disappointed. I reported 6 different individuals on foot in 30 minutes to Maria in the office and she says there is nothing she can do.
Wow. Advertise $180 / mth. For their best customers you’ll be at $800 / mth before you know it!!! Buyer beware. Then trying to get help. Off shore customer service that can’t and won’t do anything. Existing customers check your bills!! New customers find someone else. Terrible. Terrible customer service and experience. Surely this is illegal in this day and age!!!

I was looking for a new storage unit and left my name and number on they website last night. Nancy called me to see if I was still interested and we worked a time out for her to show me a unit today. She was very nice and this place is very secure! Nancy also told me that they do a walk through everyday to make sure nothing has been vandalized, broken into etc. This is the most secure storage facility that I've seen! If you want a storage unit that is secure and the people who work there are super nice then don't hesitate and get you one at public storage asap!

Helping my brother move this week was a breeze with the help of Marie at Public Storage! She was so helpful with picking the best unit for us and making sure the transfer was easy and efficient. Great customer service and the units are always clean and secure!
Nancy was an absolute pleasure to work with. She helped me find the right storage for my needs and allowed us a tour of the units. She answered several questions and gave us a peace of mind. Every thing I was looking for was founded today to ensure the safety of my belongings inside a storage that has triple security.
Maria and Nancy are super nice front desk clerks. I had a dilemna about my lock, and they were quick to help me with a solution. Whatever help I needed they were efficient and so helpful. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because parking is too tight especially when moving trucks are parked as well.
I would like to say thank you Mrs. Nancy for being so helpful and helping me out with my leasing agreement, explaining everything to me. Showing me the unit, the 'property' the grounds are very well tooken care of 'clean' and most of all, being nice friendly and courtesy, I really do appreciate it thank you! Parking is comparable to a drive-through at a fast food restaurant. Except, most times moving trucks are blocking the key box to where you cant even do that; drive-through. When bought by public storage in November 2023, traffic at this awfully laid out facility increased significantly. Worsening an already bad problem. Cant get in this place, can't get out. Whats worse, I signed up in September for $86 and my rent is scheduled to increase a whole $27 at $113, 5 months after signing up on February 1. Throw away the $1 deal to keep prices fair monthly. I cant afford $27 increases every 5 months (more than 2 increases annually) as i need storage long-term. The money will obviously not be going to the employees as raises, and obviously not toward parking improvements. In fact, they should give me $27 each month for having to deal with this headache-of-a-place to access. Theres absolutely no convenience of this place other than its downtown. Also, homeless people sleep in this place. Sometimes i arrive and dont even go inside the building because homeless and suspicious looking people are already lingering inside. Which i dont expect when i dont see vehicles outside. Its actually pretty scary. So i come to this place and am inconvenienced even further just by coming and not going inside to do what i came to do. I hate this phically poorly structured place/location, and also public storage in general. Both are nuisances.
Five stars to Alex, who is amazing. Every customer facing person in the world should have his people skills. He made even the simple job of paying the bill pleasant, entertaining, and informative. He's a real professional, and it shows. Thank you for a terrific experience. I know that no matter what, he'll take care of any issue that may arise. Well done, and thank you again!

Simply Self Storage is the place to be. Ms.Linda welcomed me in, listened to my needs, understood the assignment and accomplished it within 22 min if not less. Hassle free and very economically. One would think that since the location is downtown it would be inconvenient. WRONG. This facility has 2 ways to enter the property on Canton and Commerce. Clean, safe surroundings, security cameras, the most up to date security locks for your unit and convenient elevators to help you maneuver your belongings. . MARIAAA IS THE BEST! VERY HELPFUL WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
Simply not worth it. I moved it summer of 2021 at a rate of $260 when they were CubeSmart. Simply Self Storage bought them out before year end and started bumping up rates immediately. In 15 months, rates have jumped 50%, from $260 tp $380. And customer service is poor. Multiple times, I have not gotten online messages (through the website) and voice messages answered, they are regularly out of the office / off premises during work hours, and where there used to be two employees working, there is now one. I've personally asked for call backs from managers (when no manager is onsite) and not received a response. And twice had to resubmit an insurance certificate after already submitting one in person to avoid getting double charged. Getting those charges reversed was a huge headache.

Simply Self Storage Farmers Market was the third storage facility that I went to. The first was too far and didn't have a unit the size I needed. The second had the unit size I needed but was too expensive. Then I found Simply Self Storage Farmers Market, it was close, had the unit size I needed and the price was within my budget.

Outstanding customer service! The facility is well maintained and the prices are extremely reasonable. Super secure, only allowing me to enter the floor my unit is on, meaning people don't have free access to anywhere in the facility, everything requires your personal code, super safe. UPDATE: I posted my first review before I actually moved my stuff in. It remains true that the lady was very kind when I first visited to sign up and get the keys. BUT, it was downhill from there. My items were in storage for about two weeks and when I moved them into my new place there were roaches. The mover actually told me he saw roaches at the facility when he was putting my things in storage. Also, unloading is inconvenient because only 2-3 cars can unload at a time. My movers spent 2 hours in the truck with my stuff waiting in “line” to pull up to the unloading area. Also, only one elevator worked. The staff was impatient and rude. I would never rent a unit from here again. I still cannot get over the fact that my stuff got infested with roaches while it was sitting there. Absolutely gross.

This place was literally my saving grace! I was renting around the corner and had a horrible experience (storage was vandalized).

I've been a client for 4 or 5 years now when it was Storage Choice and now it's Simply self storage. Since day 1 I have had the pleasure of doing business with Linda. She has been incredibly helpful and attentive to any and all issues that have arisen. The place is always spotless and any issues with elevators or bathrooms have been resolved as quickly as they are able to get someone out to take care of them. I know that it has to be difficult with the extreme rise in vandalism and theft in the neighborhood however this facility has been steadfast in security, cleanliness and upkeep. Linda I'm sure is the reason behind that. Thank you Linda for all that you do to keep our stuff safe and undamaged, you ROCK!!!!!

Have had my stuff in storage here for a little over 3 months now. It was hassle free when I went in to finish the paperwork after reserving my space online because of Linda at the front desk. I was running late and got there right as the office was supposed to be closing but Linda stayed late to get me in my unit that day.
During this process she tells me that she was starting her vacation the next day so she really went above and beyond for me which I really appreciate. I've had to go by the office with a dumb question or two a couple times now and it's been Linda that gives honest answers even if it wasn't what I wanted to hear. That's what true customer service is about...top notch service and honesty.
The facility is clean, secure, and most of all convenient and I can't think of a single thing that's negative about my experience here so far.

I am posting a new review for this establishment. I am most appreciative that they kept familiar faces. I have been at this place for over four years now and I am amazed at the level of service. Due to Covid, I had to leave my things in Dallas. It has not been an easy road, but Ms. Linda has been an amazing part of my transition. She does not judge nor does she take my dignity,. I am grateful that these people do not dehuminize me. I have had a difficult time financially, but I know my things are safe. Ms. Linda I know you are Heaven sent. I don't know if they ever read these reviews, but I live by reviews.
I have had the best experience with this facility. I highly recommend this location. I relocated to Dallas in 2018 and this is where I stored my life. Over the past almost three years I have faced some highs and lows. Ms. Linda has been a jewel throughout my time here. She cares and will help in any way. I had three units, she told me to get a larger unit and combine my smaller units. I could go on and on with my wonderful experience. Keep up the great work.

She keeps the place clean and safe. If there ever has been something that I have needed concerning billing, locks or issues, Linda always gets it done. If you want your belonging safe, store here under Linda as the manager!
Generally, when posting reviews, I am more apt to post negative experiences instead of positive experiences because doing a good job is part of what you are being paid to do.
However, as a long-time manager of people, I always want to acknowledge extraordinary efforts made by those who stand out in making that extra effort. Those who wish to excel cannot knowingly do "average work.”
With this in mind, let me commend Linda, Simply Self Storage manager located at 2425 Canton St., near Farmers Market and Deep Ellum. She excels every day because I do not think she knows how to do average work. As a tenant, I have known Linda for several years. She always has a smile and is professional and a credit to herself and the company she represents.

To have these angel to go over and beyond the call of duty is pleasing and a perfect example of great customer service. No problems at all and the property is very clean. I've used many storage facilities, in the Dallas area, for over 17 years and Simply Self Storage, on Canton Street, really stands out over them all. I've been storing my valuables here for over 3 years. The building and common areas are alway clean. The temperature inside is warm in winter and cool in summer and always dry. I always feel safe when I visit my storage unit and that includes my valuables. The building management is very accommodating and friendly. If you are searching for storage in Dallas, I highly recommend Simply Self Storage.
