I recently visited public storage at Slocum St location in Dallas. Kirstie, the property manager that was working there, was so awesome. She was very helpful assisting me with my upcoming bill questions, giving me much relief, now having a good understanding of my current rate. I feel the interaction with Kirstie turned my entire day into a positive day. Thank you for the great customer service.
My rental increased by over 50%. Almost 200$ for a 5x10 is a nightmare. You never find a good cart to transport. Customer services is a ghost, no restroom bc they locked them. Area is not great and no trash can. These new management public storge are the worst
I've been renting space at this location for almost 3 years, I have an events business and the location of the venue for my work is really great, but I can't explain the nightmare I'm experiencing now that it's in the hands of new management. . elevators that do not work, doors broken due to insecurity, there are no carts to transport items through the hallways and when there are carts they are broken, in summer it was a time without air conditioning. and the attention is disastrous, when I have had the opportunity to find someone in the office and I have notified them of a problem with the transport cars their response has been "mmmm". Not to mention my husband recently asked for the bathroom key because he needed it and was denied. I'm crazy to get out of here, I'm looking for another place.
This facility is great. It was easy and professional to sign up, enter and leave. I want to give a special 'shout out' to Ms. Kathryn Rodriguez. She proactively contacted me about a refund and was incredibly helpful - Well Done.

In general a good location. Very secure which is big considering the area isn’t the best when it comes to security.

My wife and I stopped in later that day and met with Helen, she took the time and walked us through the entire process of renting/ insuring a storage unit, the app to use when accessing the facility. The storage facility itself appears to be very secure, clean both inside and around the property. Helen was very kind and helpful, thank you again Helen!

The lady in the front is so nice, makes renting from Public Storage much easier. It makes it easy to navigate utilizing this storage space. My only negative is the building itself. Everything is well planned out but they should have put 1 more foot of space in the storage halls.
I enrolled online and secured the wrong unit. What could have been an horrible issues, as I relocated out of town due to personal reason, was recognizied, addressed, and corrected in a very professional and user friendly fashion. UPDATE- stay away from this place. Since it has been taken over by Public Storage - they have reduced surveillance, the AC doesn’t seem to be working, and they allowed someone to BREAK IN MY LOCKED UNIT AND STEAL MY STUFF. I’ve asked for video footage and they are NOT complying. Saying they will but haven’t! STAY AWAY!

The rent for my modest sized storage unit doubled over a year and a half period. Since Public Storage took over they have made it an easy choice to choose a different storage company. There are only ever 2-3 moving carts for the 5 story facility - they are either in use, hidden around the building or broken. The building is filthy - I visited on a Saturday and then again the following Friday and the public bathroom had not been cleaned in a week. The whole first level smelled like sewage. Also, I do not believe the units are climate controlled as advertised - it is always hot and stuffy and I never heard A/C running. I would advise choosing a storage unit elsewhere.
Liars and thieves. Charged me $229 for leaving a small I mean small rack in my storage ... Said it wasn't cleaned out. When there was just one thing in there.

I accidentally booked 2 rooms and put it on my to do list to call Simply Storage and fix the problem. Janie from Simply Storage called me this morning and let me know. Which helped cuz I was probably gonna procrastinate. Lol She was so helpful and efficient in making sure the situation was fixed. Great customer service. This makes me feel safe keeping my things there as Janie very detail oriented and solution based. Highly recommend!!!!!

I’ve had my unit for about 15 months and the service here is unparalleled. Units are clean and well kept and they even have platform dollys available for free. Denise and Derrick were extremely helpful with paperwork and also providing gate access directions to our movers. I’ve always felt safe coming at night since they have security cameras all over the property. Finally, they even have music at time playing in the property to make your move more pleasant. 10/10 Recommended

The manager John there was very nice to me before I moved in and all of sudden became rude to me over a tiny thing after 2 weeks of moving in. I came to the facility today and found no parking spot again of course, people were using 2 spots to unload their stuff and nobody cared. So I parked my car in front his office for 5 minutes or less just to grab something really quick, there was no sign there said No parking or anything and people have been parking there all the time. After I came back John was standing in front of my car asked me to move so rudely. He told me that we had limited parking and you can move out if you don’t like it. He also threat me to bill me $2000 fine. I’m really disappointed about his professionalism - I would gladly move if he could ask me in a NORMAL manner, I’m also surprised by his sudden change of attitude.
The on-site management and staff are very helpful. The facility itself is clean and quite nice, too. In my case, the unit rental increased by $76 after 6 mos. It’s more of an inconvenience than anything and motivated me to downsize to the next smallest unit size.

The company that took this over is absolutely horrible. They removed the flatbed carts, would not allow you to use the promotional use of the moving truck, raise the rent and broke my lease agreement, charged insane fees, I have a horrible new owner that’s only interested in screwing everybody else and taking as much money as he can and I hope his business fails miserably. I hate this company so much

Old: I was a customer at the farmers branch location and need to move my storage unit closer to home. I was told I could move in today but their office is closed. I’m now having to pay for a moving truck for an additional day in hopes that I can move in later.
This place is conveniently located and easy to access. The management is very professional and friendly. I felt very comfortable and safe having my valuables in storage there. I highly recommend this location.

Great location and nice facility- reason for the one star is due to rude staff and customer service. Extremely demeaning (absolutely terrible how a business can speak to a customer the way the staff did) and have completely lost my service. Was going to get a smaller unit for a couple things I need a unit for but going somewhere else.
John was the one that helped me. John had amazing customer service and helped me with a situation I was dealing with. There was another gentleman that was friendly that helped me on the day of move out. 3 stars because they are extremely expensive and the call center people are rude. If you don't mind price this place is very nice and well secured we never had any problems with people lingering on property
