Beware. They raise rent every 6 months and really I don’t think they give 30 days notice. They do not give current customers the same deal as a new customer. Life Storage is the perfect example of “ Price Gouging “.
I pay way too much money for this place. My phone can’t open gates or doors. There are access doors locked by keypad, but there’s a hallway leading to another door that is wide open, no security box. So your stuff isn’t really secure. No onsite restrooms. Big advertising letters on the outside “Climate Controlled.” FALSE ADVERTISING. In building B, 2nd floor, it’s always easily 10 to 20 degrees hotter than the outside temperature. So if you have to store heat-sensitive belongings, it’ll get ruined. I can hardly find carts available to help me move stuff between my vehicle and my unit! There are 0 to be found right now, maybe they take the carts back in the office when they close for the night. Very inconvenient. I would recommend looking for another storage company.
I called and put a storage unit on hold. The lady said that I could drive up there and compare a few other units before choosing on an inside or outside unit. I showed up at four o'clock during normal business hours, and no one was there, I called the number and left a message, and waited over 90 mins during business hours before going online to the self service rental. I filled out the forms online, installed an application on my phone, but still couldn't get inside the storage area. Finally, someone came and opened the door just so I could get to the storage unit. I've called and left another message today to try to get some help accessing the interior.
There's absolutely no customer service.
I cannot even get someone to call me back.
Update:
I received an email today saying they were going to increase my rent $108 dollars a month beginning 9-1-2024. I called and left Laura a vm and she called me right back within 10 minutes and was able to get them to keep the rental rate where it was for the next 3 months. This will save me $324 dollars over the next 90 days. Another example of how great and responsive Laura is!

Laura at the Harwood location went above and beyond at helping me out today! I was having trouble with the online reservation and she was able to walk me through it all in person, and even comp-ed me a lock when the one I provided wasn’t the right type to fit on the unit I reserved. Please dont deal with them. They steal days. I paid the move in on January 7 /2024, so the next payment should be on Feb 7. I got notification from them to pay on Feb 3, I had no solution I paid the February. I got another notification to pay on March 1 30$,so they steal 7 days. I called them to solve the issue on march 2, nothing even the lady Laura is not professional and disrespectful. Also they charged me late fees 18$ extra.

I went in the front door and I was greeted by Laura.That lady is a hoot. Very friendly and funny too . And the place was very clean. They should definitely hire more people like that lady.

Although I ended up not renting a storage, I had an excellent experience having Laura help with the questions I had. The location off Harwood in Hurst gave me no added confusion or hardships to my plate and she knew every answer I was looking for with no effort or thought making sure to not mislead or sugarcoat with elusive answers. It really made for a hard time deciding not to rent a storage even after deciding the loaction was too far from home to be financially helpful to my current situation at home. Reserved my unit online and when I arrived my unit was damaged. The ceiling was falling in. However, Laura, one of the workers helped me with finding another storage unit. Laura took time with me, walked me throughout the complex, went to several open units, allowed me to pick the one I wanted, & she didn’t charge me extra even though the new unit was bigger. Laura also showed me how to get in and out of the gate. Laura went above and beyond making my experience there absolutely positive. Thank you Laura!!!!! Great place to store your belongings!!!!
I had the worst customer service experience today. I went to rent a storage unit, but was unaware you can not walk into this facility, or any Public Storage for that matter and expect to rent a storage, like before. You have to make
a reservation, but if you want to see the unit first..it's IMPOSSIBLE, because no one will get back with you for hours! They want to charge you first, than service you! I kept calling to be told they are on the premises. After waiting over an hour, I finally left. I found several locations open and wanting to serve the customer. Where I decided to go , the manager, she showed me the unit, a 10X30. The price is more than I wanted to pay but the customer service was phenomenal. They gave me a free lock, even though I told her I had my own lock. So thanks for not calling me back Public Storage! This company has truly stopped caring about people! It's all about the money you think you are saving! 😥
I'm writing for my son, who had a large unit at this facility for over 10 years. The current Property Manager (Laura) has been a gem. She knows the business, is very personable, returns calls on a timely basis, and cares about her customers. We only wish other businesses had employees like Laura! I wish I could give them 0 star the worst public storage ever airport freeway Bedford, Texas management are never in the office you call to leave message no call back and on top of all that I have a 10×10 storage unit outside that has went up to 265.00 I'm sick of it count your days public storage

I inquired about a storage locker on Saturday. Laura called me back Sunday and set up an appointment for the next day. I was not sure about storing my things in a public storage , I never have had the need to until recently. I wasn't sure what size I needed either. The property manager Laura eased my worries. She was very helpful in showing me the different sizes and explaining the procedures of obtaining a storage space. I didn't rent today. Because I want to bring my husband and let him see the property. It was a nice experience. I will bring all my storage needs here from now on.
The prices keep going no different services provided no upgrades whatsoever other than the price. When I moved my stuff in bill was 65.00 now maybe 4 years later the bill is 114 I have to do some deep thinking maybe I will pull my stereo and albums out and let it go because whats in there I could have repurchased with the money I have paid so far
