I recently just used this location for storage for a month and the guy Richard was absolutely amazing with helping me down size my unit and getting me all moved in and checked out.

This location is terrible. I cannot access my storage unit in the middle of the day. Gate code won’t work, app won’t work, after hours number doesn’t work, extension 3 for a property manager doesn’t work, no staff on site, no customer service number to call to enquire about why nothing works. If you need to access your belongings, I do not advise using the 1033 E 41st St location.

Harlee was extremely helpful and went out of his way to help me find exactly what I needed in the way of storage. He was smart, friendly, patient, and professional. I also witnessed his interaction with other customers, which was equally impressive. Harlee is a real asset to your organization! Keep him happy!!

I never thought I'd write a negative review, but this storage facility has pushed me to do so. It’s the worst management I’ve ever encountered. Despite having hundreds of units, they only provide a few carts for moving items. The "first come, first served" policy is understandable, but it becomes a major issue when management allows customers to hoard multiple carts, leaving others without any for hours. Over the past several months, I’ve seen many struggle to find available carts, and I've worked with others to create a cooperative environment for sharing. My frustration reached a peak when I tried to take a cart from a man who said he was giving it to a woman who had already brought her own and was demanding two more. I explained that I just needed one, but as I walked away, the woman physically grabbed the cart from me. During this altercation, I was injured. Instead of addressing the situation or ensuring fair access to the carts, the manager told me to wait my turn and didn’t care how many carts someone took. This is an extraordinary lack of management. The manager should have intervened in a reasonable amount of time, enforced a limit on cart usage, and ensured that customers were treated fairly. I needed a just resolution to this horrible experience. The manager's failure to act quickly not only wasted my time but also led to me getting injured. I won't be returning!

07/2024 Ken is so helpful and friendly, his attitude and resourcefulness is a shining example of what good service is all about. (3 years ago-original review) There was an immediate improvement in customer service when their new Manager David appeared at the 41st Street location a couple of days ago. There were a couple of bad apples there previously (not all). I went to the office to complete a second storage room contract and my expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised by David's attention to detail and his penchant for making things easier for the customer. He let me know of ALL my options and re-sent an email to me without my asking (or knowing that it would be helpful). He is just someone who seems to go out of his way for the customer's satisfaction.

Ken was very helpful and informative. Although I had issues with logging in, Ken was able to direct me to accessing my account. He’s tried to assist everyone that came in; even after his time to be off. When things got really busy, Ken was still professional with a good attitude. I’ve used Public Storage on numerous occasions and I have been above satisfied with their service. Kudos to Ken!

Ken was great and this location is lucky to have him. There were a lot of people coming still when I came towards closing of office time but Ken made sure everything was seen and taken care of even though it was past his closing time. If it weren’t for his assistance and help I would be lost.

They will bait you with lower than competitors prices online but will quickly raise your monthly bill to 3x more expensive than any other competitor. I’m less than a yr they raised our unit from $90 to 290$. When asked how to know what to expect with pricing, all they kept repeating was “you are subject to price increases”. Every time I come to this location, no workers are in office and the carts are all chained up. How the heck is anyone supposed to move when they can’t even get access to a cart. Never anyone around to help and calling doesn’t help since there’s no one at the phone.

Keith is exceedingly helpful and friendly. The location is easy to get to. The app on my phone is easy to use, but their website doesn't allow me to log in from my home computer or my work computer. I tried resetting my password and using the chatbot to request assistance, but no one could diagnose the problem. Fortunately, I can use their app on my phone to enter my credit card info and get access to my storage unit.

DO NOT RENT FROM PUBLIC STORAGE!!!! They gave me 20 minutes to get my things and told me I'd be arrested if I set foot on the property. The three workers inside the office saw what was in my storage unit and did everything they could to push me out of it so I would have no choice to leave my things. They ambushed me the Friday before my next rent payment was due so they could get my things. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT A PUBLIC STORAGE EMPLOYEE HAS DONE THIS. Search for public storage inside thieves or just public storage in general and you'll see all kinds of things they do to people who have good things. I lost my entire life on April 29, 2022 and paid them thousands of dollars to store a lifetime of items. I will not stop reviewing or talking people out of renting from them. And I plan to do whatever I can to KILL their stock, starting with the $4.00 dividends they are paying out right now. They messed with the wrong lady....

Mya and Keith were a great help and had superb customer service.I would recommend this specific storage to anyone needing a place to put their personal belongings.

I don't normally do this but I had to take a Moment to give this review about How friendly and helpful your new employee Mya and Keith were. Every question I had they answered and gave me suggestions that made better sense then the ones I had. Please make sure you keep them both and hire staff just like them. The World is already cruel and coming across them both made my day in such a special way they couldn't even imagine. Mya always had a smile on her face.

Easily accessible and close to UT. What really made the experience great was Keith, kindest and most thoughtful service I’ve received. I won’t store anywhere else in Austin. Truly 5 star. The app makes it easy to access during all hours even if the app itself is a little slow. Great though to have the ability to get your things.

Great facility and easy access from the highway. I booked everything online and the process was easy and seamless, everything was prepped and ready to go when I got here for the first time. The units are clean and secure, very easy access to the doors and elevators make moving in and out a breeze. Most of the times I’ve come to move stuff in Keith has been in the office, always waves and smiles and is very friendly and helpful with anything I’ve needed. Can’t recommend enough!

This is my first experience storing belongings at a Public Storage and it’s been really smooth. Arlene was so helpful on the day of our move-in and Keith was great also in setting up our reservation over the phone. Clean, easy access, and we trust our things are safe here.

It has been awhile since I needed to use a storage unit and I selected this unit based on its close proximity. What makes this place so great is Keith. Keith made the rental process easy and answered all my questions. Later when I was traveling I needed help securing my unit and once again Keith was there. This guy should be teaching seminars on how to provide exceptional customer service. If Keith's sup is reading this, pay him well and never let him go. Keith is the face of this business and he is doing an outstanding job of representing.

The Good. First and foremost. Keith. Keith is that guy that goes above and beyond the call of duty He is not just the good but he is the better and The best. When faced with adverse situations and having to voice my concerns that didn't involve him directly, he did the most that any consumer can realistically expect and ask. That was listen and follow up. He is a huge asset to the Public Storage team. Jordan being the team leader has reassembled a group of knowledgeable and committed men and women that have restored integrity in this location. The Bad. Unfortunately, the bad is that patrons don't know how to return carts after using. So this location has 1 of the original 4 carts but they have substituted a dolly and a few furniture dollies which is better than nothing. The Bad(part II) has been resolved and replaced. Now they run a tighter ship where everyone pulls their own weight versus soaking up a/c their entire shift. (As of February 19,'23 Carts have been bought by the establishment in order to bring back customer service which yields customer appreciation.) The Ugly. Just like the housing market in Austin, storage facility rental rates are outrageous and out of control. Without any consistency, your storage unit rate goes up at 4 months the again at 7 months then 14 months. I get it. Everything in Austin is expensive however at least I would hope that everyone could afford consistency even if consistency doesn't mean affordable.

It's a storage unit, climate controlled, I35&41st good security

I rented a 10 x 10 unit here for two and a half years. Clean facility, reliable access, friendly staff, convenient location. If you need storage in the area, this Public Storage is a good choice

So far, my experience with this public storage unit has been good, but one of the two doors on the third floor has been broken for months and they haven’t fixed it. I find it annoying that the “Use other door” sign has been up for several weeks and it doesn’t look like they’re planning on doing anything about it anytime soon.

David was fantastic at helping throughout the process. Great guy and great help!

I’ve been renting storage units from this facility for over three years now and have very positive experiences. The facility is kept clean and climate controlled with easily accessible hours from 6 AM - 9 PM. I feel at ease that there is double layered security access (renters have to enter their personal access code twice to access their unit) and security cameras. Additionally, the workers here like David and Javier are courteous and look out for the renters. From giving calls when you might have forgotten to pay rent to their attentiveness to any suspicious activity that’s typical of a city-area right next to a major interstate, these workers go above and beyond.

First I would like to say Kim was great. Javier was great. David was knowledgeable and understanding. Unfortunately, after getting a storage unit and never moving in after 24 hours not needing it, corporate office decided they would not give me a refund of almost $200. It’s a decision because I’ve been told multiple time that they could depending on the person answering the phone. It’s disappointing because the unit has since been rented, it was not the only unit left, and they didn’t lose any money. The greed of such an unfair circumstance left a huge distasteful feeling in my stomach. I wouldn’t say don’t rent here but I would say be sure to get all information before renting and be absolutely sure before handing over your credit card.

My experience was seamless and smooth! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, David was extremely friendly, helpful, and a joy to work with. He was knowledgeable and thorough, even when there were other customers asking various questions. The property was clean, tidy, and well managed thanks to David, who was picking up trash when I pulled up. Can't say enough about how helpful he was and how pleasant the experience was!

Got a great deal on a unit, always have been treated with kindness and respect here. The limited access is a little bit annoying, but im sure it's safer that way. I wish there were lights inside of the unit. It's always hard to see what I'm doing in there. Thanks! Also, rent on my unit has nearly doubled in one year. If rent has doubled purely to be competitive like I was told. Maybe use that money on the building and install lights? Give your loyal customers more than just being a little cheaper than the other guy.
