Maria was absolutely spectacular! We needed to process a transfer of billing responsibility on a storage unit and couldn't find the information we needed to complete the process online. We popped by the location and Maria was not only incredibly informed, but tremendously helpful and knocked this out for me quickly! I’ve been using public storage for two years now and it’s been great! Move-in is always so quick and easy! This year I booked a 5x5 unit and needed to transfer to a bigger storage unit 7.5x10, Maria was an awesome help!!! She got me setup with a larger storage unit and it took only 10 minutes. Maria also helped me last year as well! So i love to see her there! Shes amazing! False advertising. Started at $31. Within 4 months they increased the price to $71, then another 4 months to $87. Don't believe their fake pricing knowing it's expensive to move your things in and out. Choose a different brand and see how they handle their prices as well. Do not recommend. Update: Their price on their website says $46/mo with 2 units left. Don't believe it. They'll charge $46 for a month or two then raise your rent immediately after.

Conveniently located downtown near mopac and a quick drive to I35 this is an ideal Spot. Unlike most storages management, particularly Maria, is easy to contact, work with and always accommodating with or at least listening to reasonable requests. I highly recommend!

This is the best public storage facility I have used. The manager, Maria, is so friendly and super helpful. You do not always get this type of hospitality at storage facilities and it’s really appreciated! I always see Maria and the other employees cleaning and keeping the restrooms and common spaces well kept. We just wanted to leave this note to say thanks and keep up the great work!

It's an older facility, to be sure, but I'm giving it 5 stars anyway because Maria is fantastic. I made a preliminary reservation online but I wasn't totally sold until I walked into to the office and she walked me through everything. She was patient and thorough and I genuinely left happier than I walked in.

I’m very happy I picked this storage location. Maria, the property manager always goes above and beyond when addressing any questions or last-minute requests, and she is very diligent when resolving technical issues, or when one is looking into switching storage units. The location is very convenient and central, and the fact that I can park right next to my storage unit is a big plus. The facilities are well kept and clean, customer service is consistent and welcoming, and the prices are way better compared to nearby storage facilities where service is not as good. Maria does a great job

Maria was super helpful in finding just the right storage space for my belongs. She was clear and concise in presenting options. This is my 2nd time to store items at this 5th street location. It is managed well and I love that the units are in a climate controlled environment!

The Public Storage on 1321 W. 5th Street, Austin TX is a professionally run business by the manager, Maria. It is always accessible, gates always work, very clean, no leaves on the ground either, well lit and I feel safe. We have two other units at the Bee Caves Rd. location. When we leased the first one Maria was the manager, which is we followed her 5th street location. That being said, in the last year there have been at least 4 managers. Brian was very nice, however in the last year and a half the elevators don’t work. All the managers at this location acknowledge this has been an on going problem, and “they are working on it”. During the past year we didn’t have access to either of our units on Bee Caves, unless a person, manager, was on the property. Why should we pay? Two weeks ago we went to that location and the entry gate was wide open(broken). At any rate, I HOPE YOU USE AUSTIN’S 5th STREET PUBLIC STORAGE AND NOT THE BEE CAVE RD. I’m now going to call the We Care Team. If you read this

This public storage was my storage home for years, and I was sad to leave and say bye to Maria due to life and storage change needs! It’s a convenient location, and I always felt safe and taken care of. Even when the location was broken into, Maria and her team handled the situation promptly and professionally, she was always staying on top of it! Maria was so friendly and helpful in every way, and I was really sad to say bye to her and this location, she really cares and is passionate about her job and making sure your things stay safe. I can’t recommend her and this public storage location enough.

The location is absolutely convenient, and the ease of access to your unit is a godsend at times. However what really sets this location apart from the rest is the person that works here. Mary is an absolute godsend. She is the epitome of professionalism and kindness. Regardless of how miniscule the issue is she's always ready and willing to help someone. I hope that every location has someone like her working there. It really sets the bar rather high.

We've had a storage unit at this location for 2 years now. Maria is one reason we stay. She is super helpful, friendly, and caring. The building we are in is a lot cleaner than I would have expected, given all the moving in and out going on, and I'm pretty sure this is due to Maria's efforts.

Unfortunately, these days in Austin TeXas, its Dawg eat dawg, and every man for him/herself, rush~rush~rush, push~push~push, and where ever you geaux and whatever you do, you can bet on one thangfershoe. The price for doing it will undoubtedly be higher than a city skirt....

They take too long to cut locks (3+ weeks). Even if the lock was damaged by the renter it shouldn’t take that long. If it’s going to take that long we shouldn’t have to pay until someone cut the lock because we don’t have access to the unit.

The Public Storage here is great. Maria was so helpful, and every time I come by she is always so friendly. Keep people like her.

I came to this place with the expectation of a storage unit, but I had some directions mixed up and my actual one turned out to be way out of the way for me. Maria was super super helpful in helping look for a good storage unit that was within my budget. Really sweet lady
