Full Review Is Staying Up. Not Sorry Public Storage.
FINAL UPDATE: Got the refund. Appreciative of the service to return funds after their wrong doing. They only gave the money back after they told me I had to have updated my original 1 star review and for that I can’t give anymore than 3 stars recommendation for this storage unit. Every stereotype heard about public storage is most likely true in some form at each location. Know what you’re getting into if you rent here. They make up “rules” outside of the contract you sign yet they won’t by their policy “issue refunds if the month is paid for”. I wouldn’t have been in this situation let alone writing this review and had made a BBB company response requested if it wasn’t for the Manager’s ( actions at this Public Storage. Ultimately, they deserve my 2 stars only because they gave my month long money back only AFTER I updated the review.
UPDATE: I was called today 15MAR2025 by the Property Manager stating they will refund me due to this inconvenience caused. I will delete the entire bad review below once the refund is received. For now, 5 stars is posted for this awesome kind customer service provided to do the right thing.

I was renting unit B003 here from November 2024 to Now, March 2025. Public Storage is an absolute scam with how they work their “contracts”. You pay month to month so not only does the price jump up monthly by $50-100+ but they will not refund you your money if they “observe you moving” items out of your storage and release your unit from you without talking to you. I paid $454 for the entire month of March 2025 for Unit B003 and happened to be moving my items out of the unit. The worker took it upon themself to release the unit from my “rentership” without telling me only for me to find out when I am putting new stuff into the unit that it has a “new renter” not even halfway through the month of March. I call their attendants, absolutely no help. Recorded an entire call of the righteous Public Storage employee explaining that they will not refund me any part of the $454 I paid for the entire month nor provide me an equivalent 10’ x 30’ storage unit all while they get to “transfer the unit to a new renter”. It’s unfortunate for them since I have proof I didn’t release the unit and documentation I paid for it and they will not refund nor reissue the unit back. Not only all of this situation, there is NEVER anyone in the office to talk to in person and work things out. You can NEVER get ahold of the manager; it’s always employee’s from other places representing this location. This is really how they treat US military members just trying to store property while going on orders; I can’t imagine how they would treat the average civilian without resources or abilities to litigate for fraud.
Public Storage has an easy online rental set up that eliminated the need for physical paperwork. I had some issue figuring out the process to get the key and lock, but that was entirely my fault. Just make sure to carefully read the instructions! When I arrived at my unit, I found that one of the two keys was bent at a 90 degree angle and when I tried bending it back, it broke. I left a message for the office and was called back in less than 15 minutes. I was able to get the lock and keys exchanged for a new set. It was really great service from the property manager, Kelly.
The one issue I kept running into was that the Bluetooth to unlock the gate from the app is a bit wonky. This is an uncontrollable technology issue and I don’t feel like I should hold Public Storage accountable for it, so I didn’t take off a star. Just included it for a word of caution.
Kelly is the BEST… very kind & informative & so good at what she does! There was a problem with the gate not closing, so I waited & called her at the other store down the street! Her quick reply, I’ll be right there… that showed her incredible work ethic!
She is a very very & works so hard… been there a long time and personally, I believe she deserves a raise!!! Cause she just don’t find amazing workers like Kelly…. 👍🏼👍🏼😂

Easy access , clean unit , friendly staff and a fair rate ! Everything you could ask for with storage
I rented a storage unit online and then went down to the property. Denied me access and said see manager after about a half an hour of calling the phone number on the door knocking on a side door by a fence and dealing with some barking dogs and someone that I clearly woken up in the middle of the afternoon stating that I had to go up the street to a different public storage property which there was no one there also to get my gate access. I gave up for the day returning the next morning I started at the second public storage property not the one I rented at just to save a little time anyway an hour later to lengthy frustrating phone calls with public storage corporate getting me nowhere, I'm still unable to load my truck because I don't have a gate code. This experience is a big bummer.Public storage doesn't have their ducks in a row.all I need is a gate code someone to verify my ID if there's no human here on site to verify it then maybe you
hould have somebody on the phone that I can email a copy to or text a copy it doesn't seem fair that I have to be so inconvenient because you're too cheap to pay employees. You quickly take my money yet providing what I paid for is proving a task that holds my entire move up. Isn't it stealing to take ones money and not provider promised service? Just saying.

This place is alright! Was a little worried at first but it is the closest to my house so went for it and so far not disappointed. Lost my phone in the parking lot/gate area getting out to enter my code and management tracked me down and returned it, the gutters were water falling and called and they fixed it immediately, it's inexpensive and nice and quiet. Price is good, customer service outstanding and am thankful they are so helpful!
** Only thing id change are the hours. 9pm is a little earlier than I'd like to see them closed but it's understandable.
This property is HOPELESS! There is no manager available on-site, for one. I have been without a downspout outside of my unit for the past 9 months. I CANNOT ACCES MY UNIT IN THE RAIN because everything by my entrance will get soaked from the splashing water! Initially the downspout was crushed by a car or something...eventually falling all the way off this summer. The local management is well aware of this issue, but nothing has been done to replace this in almost a YEAR. I have formally reported all of this to corporate four different times within 7 months, and they claim to escalate it each time. I have even spoken to the regional manager on the phone months ago. My rate has increased THREE times since then. I have also pointed out that this could all be fixed for under $20.
The maintenance man who can occasionally be seen blowing leaves, must be too overwhelmed fixing all of his junk cars by the entrance. This causes a huge hazard if 2 cars are at the gate at the same time. It is a joke. They are a publicly traded company for god's sake! Do not rent here!

Great customer service, and it was very easy to get set up with a spot. The person who helped me was very friendly and clearly explained the rules and expectations, as well as consequences for misused payments and staying past their hours. It's expensive though!
Constantly raising prices on existing customers while offering 'new, lower' rates to new ones. Don't inform customers well about their rate increases, and their facilities/customer service seem to get worse as time goes on, so there seems to be no reason for the increases either. Stay away if you can.
If I could do a negative star I would. I had horrible customer service. I would not want to waste my time and money on them again.. so please don’t waste your time and or money on them!

The buildings could use a little upkeep but managememt seems to be pretty attentive to their customer's concerns.
The manager at this location is amazing!! I was having a super bad day and she made it better. I will always recommend this storage space.
