Not the worst but rents increase every 3 months or so, it's impossible to use the light in my unit and you have to use the code to get both in and out of the property, which is potentially hazardous in an emergency situation. I've only interacted with the staff via phone and they have been very pleasant and helpful.
Update September 2024: the gate hadn't worked correctly the last few times I was there, the app doesn't load, rent still goes up even though there are no improvements. I still can't use the light in my unit. I have removed one star.

Stay away! Once you have your stuff in the unit, they keep greatly increasing the price. The day after I vacated my unit, they listed it for less than 1/3 what they were charging me. Total rip-off.

I’ve been a customer since May and paid for the month just a few days ago but even though I cleaned out my unit today, Public Storage refuses to give me a pro-rated refund for the rest of the unused month.
As a result, I decided to keep my lock on the empty unit until the end of the month so they can’t make 2x on the same unit. Customer service told me that I agreed to that scam when I signed the agreement but that doesn’t mean I’m going to let them make 2x on the same unit.
I encourage anyone who uses Public Storage to not let them make 2x money off of the unused time you paid on your storage unit. It only takes a few seconds to set a reminder(s) in your calendar.

Barbara reached out to me several times to help me even tho I kept missing her call, then helped me fix my reservation (I accidentally booked 3 units in the wrong size), & even found me a better deal than the one I was trying to reserve! Barbara booked me in for the better deal, making sure I also got my first month free deal too. She was so friendly & masterfully navigated my anxious stuttering, all my ramblings & stupid questions. i have horrible social anxiety, with a deep fear of talking on the phone, but she was so patient and calm with me that I ended the call smiling which NEVER HAPPENS (most calls end with me wanting to throw my phone into the river, self included). She took the biggest stress of my month off my shoulders, & now I get to relax with no worries + a cocktail, & you know I’ll be toasting Barbara! Cheers
