The man who was there to help solidify the rental was great. Very helpful and went out of his way to help me get in. The problem was that the “auto” gate opening with the app does NOT work. Tried many many times and it would not work. It would be a lovely feature if it did.

I’ve been a customer for a couple of years and every time I’ve needed help out with one of our units RJ has been amazing. RJ has gone out of his way to always give great customer service and fix any problems that have come up!!

We recently rented a spot from this facility and RJ was absolutely fantastic to work with. From start to finish RJ was informative, patient, and supplied us with everything we needed to know about renting a spot at this facility. Beautiful, secure property hidden in plain site of the surrounding neighborhood in Powell. Gate hours until 10 p.m. 7 days a week, later than its competitors. Six day grace period to pay rent. Although rent is due on the 1st, you have until the 6th before a late fee is assessed on the 7th. No contracts, just month to month.

Well here we go - My experiences with especially this locale has been Absolutely amazing,! Both the Stand in Mgr Melissa (she's currently in another state) and the Awesome New one RJ are Simply Phenomenal! Their customer service skills are Not only Very Very Attentive, but kind, thoughtful as well as thorough -- They are truly a wonderful addition & representation of the quality that this company's services provides.

The manager of this site, RJ, is great. But the company's policies and empathy for customers is terrible. Initially the storage unit seemed fine when I inspected it. However upon using the unit I had problems. The storage unit's floor slab is elevated 3" above the outside pavement. As a result every time I move my boat in or out, I need help getting over high lipped edge at the entrance into the unit. After trying to work around this problem and damaging my boat in the process, I finally notified SImply Self Storage that the unit was not acceptable and requested to be transferred to a unit with a properly constructed entrance. Simpy Self Storage response was that I would need to pay a transfer fee and accepting a new 13% higher rental rate.

Easy! RJ did an excellent job. With his help I got in quickly. He is such a nice guy!

The employees from the person on the phone to the lady at the storage place always made me feel like the customer. Both of them listened to me and answer all my questions. The lady at the facility went out of her way to make sure I was satisfied. I would recommend them to anyone.

We had a storage unit for 5 years with Simply Self Storage. When my mother-in-law passed we needed a place to store some of her things. It is a very clean and safe place to store your items. We would definitely use them again if the need arises!

Staff is very attentive to making sure your items are safe and secure. Clean and well-kept units and grounds.

Just recently acquired a 10x30 unit for storage between moves. Had the pleasure of working with Jenny and she was fantastic. She was extremely thorough, answered all questions and also allowed me to tour the facility to see and enter the unit. She very clearly takes what she does very seriously but with a friendly outgoing personality and absolute professionalism. I would highly recommend Simply Self Storage in Powell and make sure you ask for Jenny.

A nice, clean storage facility, in a great part of town, that's reasonably priced. The site manager, Jenny, is professional & a pleasure to work with.

I've had a temp controlled unit for about 3yrs. Only complaint is that for awhile it was to warm/cold at times, but pretty sure that has been corrected. The reason for this review - I met Jenny (mgr) doing her rounds a couple days ago. What a very nice and motivated person. This facility is in great hands!!

This is an excellent storage facility; very clean and safe. I stored my clothes and furniture here for almost 2 years; never a hint of odor or mildew. Manager Jenny Gibson runs the place efficiently. Okay M W… or should I just call you “Karen”?? I was in the office on the day that this DIDN’T happen since yours is a fake review… This is what actually happened… the Property Manager asked the other guy that came into the office that day if he saw the rubber snake on the door several doors down from his, because the rubber snake keeps disappearing, the Property Manager joked. The Property Manager stated that the rubber snake was to scare the birds away. The guy asked if birds are getting into the units, at which time the Property Manager assured him that Simply Self Storage is working to resolve the issue. The guy hastily asked the Property Manager what should he do if birds are getting into his unit, the Property Manager advised that he would let her know and refer to his Homeowners or Renters Insurance if there were to be any damage to his possessions, since he only just signed up for Simply’s insurance that morning apparently. The guy became hostile at this time, exclaiming “you guys are allowing birds into the units but want us to file a claim against our own insurance“!! The Property Manager clarified that Simply is not “allowing” birds into the units and reinfored that he would refer to his insurance.The guy grew more agitated and aggressive to the point the Property Manager justifiably had to threaten to call the police on him to get him to leave. And as far as needing an appointment, they do take walk ins, but if the Property Manager is with another customer, or expecting her next appointment, this allows one on one time to do your rental while keeping your information private and giving you a personal experience.

The Office Manager is snarky and has a poor attitude. She's rude and offensive. She will not talk to you AT ALL if you don't have an appointment. You cannot walk-in with questions; she will refuse to talk to you. I know this from my first interaction with this facility. Despite being treated so poorly, we decided to rent a unit due to it's location and reasonable pricing. We hoped to have little to no interaction with the Office Manger. Simply Self Storage should replace the Office Manager with someone who likes working with people and has a better disposition. The Office Manager is NOT helpful and will direct you to the website for information and or help. She is not professional. Today, June 2, 2022, a tenant walked into the office, to complain about birds that got into his unit and were deficating on his property. (I was in the office to make a payment and get my rate corrected.) The Office Manager told the tenant to take pictures and file a claim with his homeowners insurance, even though he claimed to be paying for their insurance. He told her it's unacceptable for him to pay for their insurance and not be covered and asked how to get it fixed. Her response was to threaten to call the police on him if he didn't leave. I should note, the man (unknown to me) didn't threaten the woman or act belligerently. He asked for her supervisor's name and number and left without a scene, at her request. When he left, she called her supervisor and claimed that she felt threatened and was scared for her life. When she got off the phone, she said she was worried she might lose her job. After witnessing this enteraction, I'm not sure we made the right choice renting a storage unit from this woman/company. If we didn't have a full unit, we would move. After posting this review, we'll probably be evicted....if so, I'll update this review. In regard to the property, it is a nice facility and is conveniently located.

I have a storage unit and they mixed up my girlfriend and I’s info. I go in today to get a parking spot for my boat. Lady was rude as hell. I told her she was being rude twice and she didn’t even acknowledge me lol! She did however figure out our admin info and gave me a pin code to the gate that actually worked. Had a unit since February and my code never worked even after going in to fix it.

Jenny was amazing, this was the first time I've rented storage and she helped me through the process. Also, I thought I'd be fine with a 5x10 and after she asked a few questions, she recommended a bigger unit and she was right! She saved me having to move my stuff later to a bigger unit!

Convenient, clean, reasonable price plus got first month free. Jenny was helpful getting me set up and took care of any issues.

Best storage facility in the area. Clean. Great location. Climate controlled units are few and far between until you get to Lewis Center. Jen was very helpful.

Stored home furnishings in climate controlled space for 2 years, headache free with confidence belongings remained secure. A single issue developed as we prepared to empty out the space, which management quickly and efficiently helped us resolve which left us fully satisfied. Their responsiveness with this single issue was much appreciated.
