NOT!!!! I left a bad review and someone within the company changed it to what you see above now. I was late on my storage rent by maybe 10 days. I been working with corperate customer service and they accepted my payments and advised me to clean up the small balance by 7/27/24. The workers and manager couldn't wait to take advantage of 70,000.00 worth of belongings they auctioned all off on the 24th when I still had 3 days. Once I brought that to their attention alot of unprofessional things are going on with them. I found out from the city their is a serious theft p er oblem going on there. I have nothing left , I didn't know what to do

I came here look for a unit today, I had an employee named Heather help me find units within my price range. She walked me to a few units to help me find which one I liked better. She then showed me how to properly use the lock for my unit, and how to punch in my code for the gate. Before I left she asked me if I had the Public Storage app then showed me how to use it when I need to, I appreciate her hard dedication to her job to ensure that her customer are happy with they're storage. She has outstanding customer service and a positive vibe. I will definitely refer my friends.

This place is a scam. They secretly add fees and late charges even tho error was on their end. I have been with them for 8 months and only missed one payment by 1 day and that late payment turned from 22.00 to 1115.00 and my property is up for auction I tried reaching out to the distric manager because I was told he was the only one who could help me he never returned my call all my payments where on time yet my property is still getting sold I’d stay far away from this place.

I am so glad I decided to put my belongings in storage at this location. It’s is so hard to find great customer service that is memorable. Carlito not only offered knowledge about the facility and what would work best for my situation but he was patience with myself and my elderly mother. My mom no longer can live in the house by herself and she now stays with me so we had to put some of her sentimental items away in storage. Carlito please keep up the amazing work and I hope the manager of this location realize how valuable you are for this location. God bless you Carlito and your future. I will be recommending Public Storage at the Cooke Road location to all of my friends and family.

I’ve had my unit broken into 3 times in 5 years. Definitely would not store anything of value there.

My husband and I’s unit was broken into earlier this month (February 2024). We had recently moved and got the unit for extra storage during the transition. About half of the items in our unit were stolen when it was broken into. Many keepsakes and valuables collected from over the years were taken by complete strangers. The unit directly next to ours was also broken into. The locks were cut right off from the exterior door. The staff at this location did little to help us, and we have since filed a police report and insurance claim for what we have lost. One staff member even said something along the lines of “these things happen” with the disclaimer that he was not trying to make our situation seem less serious… Be warned if you choose to rent a storage unit at this location. It would appear that the staff managing this location consider break ins part of normal operations.

Terrible! Sold me faulty uniy!!!the door does not open. Several times had to have assistanceopening to even get in there now Im noticing noone there at office and its cold, gas is high for me runnning back and forth wasting gas.no answer via phone left several messages. Dont rent from here!

Broke my key and got a lock cut same day. So thankful I was lucky to be there when they were able to accommodate.
My unit was broken into and I lost about 700 dollars worth of tools. The security was clearly negligent and I'd like to back up the previous review about the lack of promised security. The insurance is a joke.

If you need good storage service. Go somewhere else. They don’t have a bathroom. Trash. Or a sink. The customer service is absolutely horrible. I need to speak to their legal team and GM or DM. This isn’t a safe place to store or move things. I’ve been robbed and I am almost certain it was an inside job. Awful awful experience. Save yourself.
If you enjoy having things stolen from your storage unit and also not having access with nobody on-site to help you this is the storage unit for you.
Absolutely Terrible on all levels. unit has been broken into three times. Website says secure with cameras and security. Absolutely not true. No security and not even any employees on the premises. The door is broken and they refuse to put me in a different unit or give me a refund. It’s absolutely the worst experience and not one person has been helpful or even remotely kind about the lack of security and the break ins. They laughed and said it was not their problem. Front gate has broken several times, with out any employees here to deter break ins.

Had two break ins two months in a row. Fighting tooth and nail with the insurance company just to get compensated for the first break in. In this time, they nearly doubled the rent without personally notifying me. They can call or send an email when it’s time to pay, but send a paper letter to my last known address stating that my unit rent will increase🤔🤔🤔. Minus two stars!!!

This is my 3rd revision of this post “simply” because things keep going wrong. They give you the wrong gate code in the lease so you can’t get in, arrive to unload stuff before I have picked up my lock and passcode, no one was there even after waiting on a TUESDAY at 1:30pm-2:00pm and no one was in the office, it’s like they don’t care. Halfway through my lease without notice my lock as gone and the entire mechanism on the door was changed, I can’t even get to my stuff and don’t even know if it is in there anymore. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with any storage facility and their job is literally no work, if there were an option for 0 stars, that’s what they would get.

Since the first time I got a unit with this company, the employee has gone above and beyond the call of duty and offered helpful first month savings and even a newer lock than the one I had purchased which had a key falling apart to it. I would recommend this company to anyone in a transition in life. I just hope mine ends soon. Thanks Simply Storage!

Mary ALWAYS goes above and beyond for a big facility in a not so good area and deserves one heck of a raise. Please acknowledge this and give this woman the raise she deserves!!!!!
I won a storage auction here, items had been rearranged and moved to another unit with large trash, manager claimed "theft" but I am very suspicious. No investigation in any way... giant waste of my time, I need the general manager to contact me.
Mary went out of her way to open the office a little early so that I could make my payment before going to work. She is always friendly and courteous.
I can't give any stars to this place. They will rip you off and good luck with customer service. They charged me and THEN informed me I needed a certain amount of insurance before being allowed to access the rental and finalize the deal. I didn't get the insurance, never signed documents but they refused to refund my money, nor would the "manager" ever call me back. They give storage unit places a bad reputation.
Amazing place Mary was super I couldn't of asked for a better person to help me. Mary was very nice and friendly, she answered all my questions and was so patient with my children. I recommend this place to all my friends and family for their storage needs.

This is the second time I have gotten a storage unit here. Everyone is so nice and polite. Corey the assistant manager is who helped me today, and he was very professional and courteous. Appearance isn't anything to get excited about. The units are clean and big and rodent free. You have 71 on one side and the active rail road tracks on the other. It may be a little tricky at first to find. Just keep going up the small hill OVER the railroad tracks and it'll be right there on your left. The ONLY thing I didn't care for is anyone could just climb the fence and get to popping locks (even though they are changing to the kind inside the door) and communication could use some work.

Showed up on a Saturday morning to move out, no one was in the office at Clintonville location. I had called several times the week before my move out with questions regarding cancelling the lease. Not one time was the phone answered or did I receive a call back. Waited 2 hours on that Saturday morning for someone to come in the office, still nothing. After visiting my unit, drove around property looking for a site manager, still nothing. Have called several times this week and left several messages, still nothing. No call backs, nothing. This place is absolutely unprofessional.
Pretty easy process. Staff is really helpful. A little pricey compared to others I’ve been to but still relatively affordable.

Made a reservation for a 10x15 and confirmed it when they called me. Got there and they assigned me to a unit already sold w a lock on it. Then give me a new unit that is a 5x10 which isn’t what I reserved. Then he tells me they don’t have my reserved unit but they have a 10x20. I say ok I’ll take that at my reserved price for a 10x15 at $197. They refuse to honor it. I call reg mgr and got no response. Called corp and got no response. Told them to cancel lease and refund charges. Receipt they gave me of voided check instead of a credit card refund receipt. Beware of bait and switch tactics.

I’ve never rented a storage unit before and this place had amazing rates compared to others in my area. Ray in the office was very friendly and helpful answering my questions and getting everything set up (I had some trouble getting the website to load certain pages when I signed up).

This was the 4th unit I've rented here over the last 13 years or so. I've never had a bad experience and Sylvia (the office attendant) was very helpful, knowledgeable and pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend them to a friend.
My experience at simply self storage i was unsatisfied. lack of professionalism. No interest in my service or conversation. on board no security or protection after hour. hard to pack or unpack in the dark. not a friendly or a clean environment to visit or use.

Many negatives about this place. The woman behind the counter was really disinterested and didn't seem to want to help me. Then the kicker.....she actually said, "if it were me, I wouldn't rent here because there's a lot of break ins." I was shocked she would tell me this. I thanked her for her honesty and left. I did find another facility. Very impressive and the manager was awesome. No comparison. Avoid Simply Storage.
